Bitcoin is gaining popularity very fast and it would be good if the IPS Commerce would support it. Either via Stripe or another integration? 1 Bitcoin is currently worth $4662 right now. This is the Bitcoin chart over the years.

Hello, The function of the user activity is too limited I would like to know in which Club he is registered, which forums or members he follows. If it has published articles and to be able to modify in a click the status of publication. What is the date of the last connection with the IP address and not as currently a small scroll on the right. A specific page with all this information. In addition to being able to post comments that are only visible to the moderator or administrator.

When I view any member in a list or result of a search in the ACP and I click on the member's link I expect to be taken to their ACP member page not the PUBLIC profile page.

Another thing thats often overlooked is the ability to report a member directly. For example, to report a member's About Me area, or a username, etc.

Hi fam! I had a thought. Wondering if anyone thinks this would be useful or not. I am exploring utilizing tags more on my own community BreatheHeavy/Exhale. Today, I created a block that is only meant to show topics that include the tag "grammys." This is just so we can have a bunch of Grammys related content flood the homepage for the day. So my homepage looks like: Grammys content-items block All content-items block I am encouraging members to create Grammy-related topics (the show airs tonight). We can curate their content to show on the homepage as long as they use that tag. Problem is, my homepage is now including a block wi…

When editing using this: The last edit date should be updated on this listing. This is particularly important for databases that "last update" bumps the listing to the top.

I would love to see more, by group preferably, permission settings for clubs. I would like to be more in control of which group can do what in clubs. - Can view content in clubs Y/N - Upload images in clubs Y/N and the like. This I feel is currently missing, given all the other great permission setting I can use elsewhere in the forum software. Cheers and have a great 2020! __ Rick

So I have a ton of blocks and well I'm starting to lose control of them and figured it may be a good idea to request some feature enhancements for it so that I can both clean up my blocks and also use them more efficiently. Of course there is categorizing which is great but sometimes I mis-categorize some of my blocks. This is a particular pain point when you have to look for it on the front end. The enhancements on the front end I'd like are: Categories collapsed by default when you open the edit bit, this way I don't have to scroll through my massive list of blocks or manually close them until the right category comes up. Ability to search the list…

Similar to viewing template changes in comparison to default templates, please consider adding a mechanism to highlight the specific portions of content that have been altered from one revision to the next. For examples, consider the way MediaWiki highlights changes between two selected revisions, or how the template "diff" display works now in ACP. It drives me insane to look at a lengthly piece of content and scroll up and down between the two to sort out what exactly someone decided to revise. Here's an example using Mergely JS library:

The ignore function is an extremely essential part of running community services such as Invision. However, I feel as if one of the most overlooked features is a fully functional Ignore and/or Block system. While we do have the current iteration of the Ignore function, it is severely lacking in some departments. The image below is (while themed) on a clean install: This install has all of the Invision applications enabled (Forums, Blogs, Pages, Commerce, Downloads, Gallery). The above only references Posts (which many assume, and correctly, this refers to the Forums), Messages, and Mentions. So how can this be improved? There's a number of ways, and a few …

It was extremely great to add to this setting what types of clubs are included, becouse I must edit every template include clubnodes and add this code: {{if $club->type === $club::TYPE_PUBLIC}} let him include only clubs that are designated as subsections of our community and can only be created by administrators. And not included custom clubs created by regular users.

I've just mentioned this twice in other topics with reference to the activity streams and search functions, but I'm sticking it up separately as I really do think it's important. The use of the reputation system in content discovery seems to be zero. Here we are, our members telling us 'this is a good post' - and we don't seem to be able to use that info. Right off the top of my head here are some ways we could be using that information: 1) Show me posts with 10 or more likes - instantly you're getting a 'best of the board' feed 2) Search for posts in topics with '4.1 upgrade failed', rank by likes - you get solutions or explanations of the problem 3) Show …

I've made a topic about this before but I feel it's something that is severely lacking yet so useful and probably a fairly easy feature to implement. We need better statics about how our site is performing with relation to customers. Right now all we have are general overview of what was purchased and revenue. There is also some markets data which is nice, but we really should be able to see things along the line of: How long are users staying subscribed to renewal products (churn rates) How much are users spending on average per month What is the average revenue per customer What is the conversion rate of trial to paying etc etc... …

In a number of popular web scripts like Drupal, the software has the ability to specify a non-public location for the software to store and serve files from. IPS doesn't allow this, you can only specify file system locations that are within the web root of the account (meaning that there is direct access to the files via a URL). For security, best practice is to store data outside of your web root location. This stops people from uploading files and then accessing them via direct URL and potentially compromising the account or even the server (particularly on servers where the web server does not run PHP scripts as the local user). It would be nice if IPS supported …

Hi We have been doing test migrations and I noticed a huge amount of memory usage from Imagick on our install which reminded me that there is another option, GraphicsMagick which was a branch from Imagick a few years ago. Generally it runs much faster and lighter than Imagick and also it seems to have less security issues. It does have some limitations over Imagick but most of them seem to be related to more advanced image processing so I *think* they would not be an issue for IPB. If php was directly calling the Imagic binary rather than the php wrapper you used to be able to directly swap them out and it would mostly work if I recall. Just a thought.

Would be great to have an option for using Amazon SES API like sendgrid or when sparkpost was available. I’m using Amazon SES over SMTP, but I believe using their API would be better. https://docs.aws.amazon.com/ses/latest/DeveloperGuide/send-email-api.html

Hello all, So this has already been bought up in different conversations as per the below links: https://invisioncommunity.com/forums/topic/452364-users-be-able-to-turn-off-new-device-notifications/ https://invisioncommunity.com/forums/topic/443405-choice-to-opt-out-of-new-device-login-emails/ I have to echo the feature request for this as per other members here. My forum is a tech community and while not only privacy conscious meaning they clean cookies and cache (Logging them out) and they are also sometimes using the site from multiple machines and upon logging in, keep getting login notifications which is irritating them. So far as I know the…

Is it possible to use a slider for a series of videos in a post? Something like this: https://invisioncommunity.com/files/file/8860-video-slider-widget/ except that it can only be used as a widget. Let us not forget that communication between people initially started in a form of spoken communication even before the written word. I think that this form of communication should not be neglected because it is the basis, but I have the impression that we prefer to concentrate here in the development of a communication in the form of smiley emoji faces.

Hey! I was thinking about a discount on subscriptions (or other products) for new members. Like if a new member registers in his first 3 days (or 1 week, or whatever) they can get a 10% discount (or whatever) Would be a nice feature as inentive to buy membership early.

Could you modify the poll functionality to allow results to be seen on closed polls please? I'm personally of the opinion that if a poll is closed then the results should be able to be seen. "But, you can see the results on a closed poll, you numpty!!!!" I hear you say. Nope, not in a specific situation such as this one: Above indicated setting is in effect Create a poll Don't vote on the poll Close the poll Result: Enable the indicated setting above Result: Disable the indicated setting above Open the poll Vote on the poll Close the poll Result: Currently, you can only…

The Pages app is a very powerful application but is hamstrung by inflexibility. We are restricted to three possible layouts; 1 column, 2 column and 3 column, but even these are rigid. There is no scope to determine the widths of these columns, nor is there a way to stack them in different configurations. This is not only incredibly limiting in terms of layout, but also in terms of flexibility. It really shouldn't be that difficult to adapt what is already there and make it even more powerful. For example, I would like to start of with a row based on three columns, each of a width determined as a percentage; those three columns adding up to 100%. So I would like a…

I know I read where the Facebook embeds is coming back to this platform (hopefully real soon), but what about webpages? When you post a link to a website or article in the internet, FB will generate the image and a short part of the article. But here, a link is a link and that's it. Uninteresting and not eye catching. With more and more people trying to get away from Facebook, it would be nice to bring some of that "easy" functionality over to this platform and help make some of those transitions easy and seamless. I just didn't know how hard that functionality was to achieve.

The Automatic Moderation menu in the Admin CP currently only allows you to hide reported content. It would be nice if this section had other options like this: If you could imagine "Hide Content" was one tab, and there where other tabs you could select like "Move Content" or "Merge Content" or "Saved Action". The Move Content tab would have options like: Move topics to X sub-forum if they meet the following criteria: They're posted in Y sub-forum They have not gotten a reply in Z amount of time They have B tag(s) The title contains "example text" They're older than C weeks / months / years The Merge Content tab would have options like: Merge topics …
