Hello, 🙂 In ModeratorCP/site moderation/Deleted content, you have all the topics members deleted. Is it still possible to specify the number of days after which these topics will be deleted for good ? Thank you ! 🙂

I want to add some badges to users on our community, for example a 1 Week badge for those that have been registered for a week. Is there any way to trigger a badge based on just the amount of time they have been registered? I can see I can do it when they log in and check then but there are a couple of problems with that, firstly I want to use it to encourage people to log back in in the first place and secondly it will then go an award that badge to the 20k+ people we already have registered for more than a week 🙂 There doesn't seem to be a "New Users Only" condition?

Good morning, I'm looking for a French version but I see that the market is definitely closed. How do we find a French translation now? Thank you in advance for your answers.

I am trying to translate this language bit "No notification List" but I'm struggling to comprehend even in English language what does that choice exactly mean. Is it the same like "Do not send me notifications"? But if it were then why a different phrase is used here?

I am looking for a robust selfhosted solution for form data submission, and i want to explore the possibilities that IP gives me. What i need is rather simple Users to be able to submit a form. Preferably custom form logic (fields to appear under condition e.t.c). Email when a new entry is entered. Export to Excel/Spreadsheet. Can i leverage pages to do it?

there is a lot of questions and answers on my forum. I would like to give my members the opportunity to "save" (or to add to their favourite) the discussions or comments that they really like and would like to read again later. This would allow them to take better advantage of the content on the forum. is there a way to do that ? thank you

Hello, I am looking for all steps I need to do to leave Invision Community. - have a sub domain set up, need to use that on another platform, anything that you need to do on your end? - how do I ensure I will not be automatically billed again? - how do I remove any and all traces of data from the past few years of attempting to build my community. and if anyone cares I can gladly explain privately to staff, why I wish to leave after spending money on this for a long time without successfully launching my community. thanks

I just upgraded my forum from version 4.5 to 4.7. Everything seems to be working fine, except the rank system, which now labels everyone as "Newbie," including the Admins. Is there something I can do to automatically adjust the rank/achievements for each user appropriately?

In the past I could view the number of views of a particular post. I have been somewhat out of the loop for the past several months (or longer) and haven't checked in a while and now this feature is missing. Is there some way to restore this feature or is there a different method to find the number of post views?

I use Commerce for subscriptions only. Store and Support are on the deprecation list. Question: can I disable the three modules in ACP that I do not need? And then still have my subscriptions run without issues? Thank you.

Hello, I know there was a ton of threads regarding a dedicated app for forums. Considering how beautiful considered and built Invision Community v5 is, as well as advancements in technologies that have since been developed and incorporated, I'm wondering if anyone is considered or has already packaged up their community into a dedicated mobile or desktop app. I'm an Apple person, so my references will be on that their platform, but for example... I've seen several projects utilizing iOS shortcuts that allow you to go a step beyond a Web Clip to create something that feels almost entirely like a dedicated iOS app. Seems to make use of the Safari framework to simp…

I stumbled upon the staff notes feature while searching for announcements. Looking at the help guide, the explanation does say "when moderating content..." Would it be more accurate to say "when moderating forums or topics...?" I tried adding staff notes with other content, on pages, on events, and no luck. Just trying to understand. Thanks.

Hi mates, I am observing from the sytem log that we are experiencing attacks on single attachment URLs. As it seems someone is hammering the attachment engine/URLs with random IDs: The URLs itself look like this: https://www.mcseboard.de/index.php?app=core&module=system&controller=ajax&do=attachmentInfo&attachIDs[14365]=true Now what is bugging me is: Why are they hammering those attachment URLs and why do they do that as a guest user. Case A: As guest an error is being thrown ("Sorry, there is a problem. Something went wrong. Please try again. Error code: EX0") in the frontend - thus the system log entry. Case B: I…

I have one Saved Actions created and it can be call use from Moderation Actions, but I would like my moderators can use it too.

I have two large IPB forums that I've been self-hosting since 2004. Many of the older member accounts on these forums are no longer active and have currently invalid email addresses. The forum continues to send email notifications that they signed up for a long time ago. and this results in a ton of undeliverable email. Is there a SQL query I can run that will update all accounts that haven't been active in x years to disable all outgoing email notifications? This might be a nice feature in the Admin too.

I'm trying to get a less expensive package from the company hosting my website (which is essentially just a forum). They are telling me it uses 1.1GB and I need to get it under 500MB to get the different hosting package. Does this seem to be about right? The forum is about 20 years old and I've deleted many older posts that had few responses but I'm hesitant to delete more unless I'm sure it will get me under that 500MB threshold. So far my deletions haven't seemed to lower the memory usage very much at all. Are there any ways to get the memory it takes up down significantly? Is there a way to look at my dashboard to see which files are taking up the most memory…

I am going through and trying to update the active members list. There are many that are NOT active any longer and need to be removed. I'm wondering if I can remove everyone and then upload a csv file for active members list? Is this possible? I have the correct members pulled from the subscription / payment processors - so I know who's active.... but the current active list in the community has not been cleaned up in years. Would I move everyone on the current active group to another group and then upload or add the correct active members to the active group? I really would like to not have to go through 2k active members list to find the 300…

Up until now I've worked with the "Open" tagging mode. Anyone can create and use any tag they want. Unfortunately, sometimes members create useless or silly tags. I would like to continue to be able to tag any topic I want with any existing tag or with new tags I create when I tag the topic, while restricting other members to use only existing tags, and not be allowed to create new tags. Is that possible? If I switch to a "Closed" tagging mode, it looks like I would have to create a list of tags in the ACP, which I wouldn't want to have to do since there are already so many existing tags. Thank you!

Hello, For new member registrations, our settings require that a full registration form be filled and validation then occurs by email. I have never enabled Admin validation. Why then do I get an admin notification claiming a potential member needs admin validation? This is, btw, the second time this happens. thanks, and a pleasant day to all.

I have two communities. Community A (server), and Community B ("slave") I would like to ensure that only registrations and logins from Community B are handled by Community A, meaning I do not want to allow members of Community B to register themselves. Instead, I want them to only be able to use accounts from Community A to log in and "register" in Community B. Is this possible? If so, how could I accomplish it? Note: I have already linked Community B with Community A.

Hello, I've written before about some guest accounts all parked (for weeks) throughout our forum, all from a related IP source. So far, no harm has been done. Still, I am wondering if logging out all guests for a few minutes might be enough to dislodge them. Would this be possible without messing up site indexing etc? How should I best go about it? I was thinking that, if this works, I'd like to have it ready in case we get more of such traffic in the future. Thanks!
