Hello, One main reason I want to move to the cloud is the security protection. Which type of security is IPB clouds using to protect servers? What kind of proxy, for example? Do you guarantee 24/7 protection from DDOS and other malicious sources?

Hey there! I've created a badge and I want to assign it users based on if they've entered certain information in their profile. The idea is I have a profile field like: "How did you learn about this community?" and if a user inserts a specific string into the text box, the community will award them with that badge. I've taken a look at Zapier, which seems like my best bet to accomplish this. I've used that platform before, but it doesn't seem like 'Award Badge' is a zap that is available at this time. Am I missing it somewhere? I'm still new to Invision so I might just be using the wrong vocabulary. If there is an easier way to do this than creating a Zap…

Hi. I am looking to make structural changes with v5. If I change the default app away from Forums to Pages, how are forum URLs affected? And, what implications are there for SEO? Is just the forums index page affected, or are topic index pages and topic URLs affected too? Further, will existing links automatically redirect? Anything else I should be aware? Thanks.

Hi, Ive been experimenting with the Bulk Email feature today. Its not a resource we've used much in the past. It successfully sent to 2526 members. BUT 2 groups of members total over 3000 . I understand that banned members and members who choose not to receive emails would account for a lot of the 475 who didn't get the bulk email. there were NO filters applied under the Members filter tab, ( all showing default and ALL groups ticked, ) so EVERY member was included as a recipient. I included a paragraph stating they had no need to reply to the bulk email. I also made a forum post for all to see in case they didn't receive an email from the …

Mods are gone before we upload and install them. Now that the marketplace and the whole way we did it were changed to click install and not upload install anymore, is IPB v5 going back to the old way of uploading mods, and is it like before the marketplace installed them?

Hello, When I upgrade the board in ACP -> Upgrade Invision Community by default FTP information, there is an error message: A connection was established, but an attempt to download a file failed. Check that the path you have provided is correct and points to where Invision Community is installed, and that the FTP user has permission to read and write files. Does anyone know how to fix it? I want to test out the Blog feature, but I don't have the ability to create a blog using the front-end UI. Here is what I see on my trial: I assumed there was a Permission check I needed to add, but no 'Blog' application permission sets appears for my user groups (I see them for the other applications): Am I only able to create blogs through the back-end dashboard (that does seem to work) but I'd like end-users to be able to manage their own blog space without moderator assistance. Let me know if I'm missing a configuration option or if there's a problem on my instance. Thanks!

Hi guys I'm looking to offer ad-free experience (no programmatic ads shown) to users who sign up for monthly subscription service. So far, the only way to do this seems to be by creating a new theme with no ads on it and instructing these subscribers to activate that theme (where the theme is only accessible to members of this paid for group) - am I on the right tracks here or is anyone aware of a better solution? Also, for those who use the subscription option, what other features do you offer and what features do you find are most appreciated by these subscribers? Thanks Darren

I have enabled referrals in my acp. I have placed the Tell A Friend sidebar block on various pages. My goal is to give any member who refers 5 or more people a free t-shirt. When I say refers, I mean those referred folks register as a member. Our base membership as well as our upgraded membership are products in commerce. Looking at the commission rules for referrals in the acp, I'm not sure if the rules would work because they specify that a single customer has purchased a certain number or value of products. What I'm looking for is to create an award for a single product after X number of referrals have "purchased" (free) the base membership product…

Hey there! Brand new to the platform and currently playing around with the theming capabilities. Using the manual editor seems to work fine, but if I try to create a new theme and hit the 'magic wand' icon, the editor will load on the right but on the left, the community seems to have an issue rendering successfully: If I change some colors and then build the theme, those changes will be visible on the live community, but not seeing my changes live makes the editor very difficult to use. Hello, I would like to know if it's possible to add a watermark to the images uploaded in any topic/comment. I've located an option in admincp to add watermarks. Screenshot attached. I usually use the control+v to paste screenshots or the upload imagine function in every topic. Will this option add the watermark to both the uploads and screenshots? Will the watermark be added to old images or the new ones alone? Thanks a lot.
