harry m Posted October 18 Posted October 18 Hi, Ive been experimenting with the Bulk Email feature today. Its not a resource we've used much in the past. It successfully sent to 2526 members. BUT 2 groups of members total over 3000 . I understand that banned members and members who choose not to receive emails would account for a lot of the 475 who didn't get the bulk email. there were NO filters applied under the Members filter tab, ( all showing default and ALL groups ticked, ) so EVERY member was included as a recipient. I included a paragraph stating they had no need to reply to the bulk email. I also made a forum post for all to see in case they didn't receive an email from the board.( update email addy, check spam folder ect, ect) I later got a reply to the topic post from a member who saw the post on the board, who informed me he didn't receive the email! Ive checked, and his email address registered with us is correct ( We know as he received a system email telling him he had a Personal message from me) , he's also checked his spam bin and nothing there. The only slight doubt I have, is that he has a 'Hotmail' email account. I'm wondering if this is the issue ? or are there known issues with the 'Bulk Email' application. It is early days, as it was only 5 hours ago when the email was originally sent. Regards harry m
Solution harry m Posted Saturday at 01:13 AM Author Solution Posted Saturday at 01:13 AM Hi Marc, Ive only just received a notification email about your reply, so apologies for the delay in replying to you. We only had one report in total of someone not receiving the Bulk email, to which we're happy that only 1 report out of 2500+ is a minor glitch, especially as he still gets notification emails to the same email address.
