I don't know how technically feasible it is, but in IPB 6 you should move towards instant interaction. Blur the lines between a forum and a chat program. I think it will be very successful and if anyone can do it, you guys can.

On a monthly basis, I share a screenshot of the leaders for the previous month. Today, I tried it and I got very inaccurate results. the 3rd member listed has NOT posted in the last month. In fact, that member passed away 2 years ago! the number of posts for December is in the thousands, while the ones for November are more appropriate, in the 200-300 range Is there something that might need to reset (not wanting to go down to 0 of course) or such? I can't put the screenshot as it is given with a deceased member in 3rd position!

Not sure if this is the correct board to post this on, apologies if it is not. I'm interested in features that support real-time interactions while being self-hosted. One of the key aspects I'm looking for is live updates for things like posts, comments, and notifications. Will Invision 5 include support for real-time features like this out of the box self hosted, or would it require additional development? Another point for me is profile customization. Hi there, I run a forum called Startup Networks Startup Networks - The Platform for Founders, Built by Founders and i've found the feature - Our Picks/ Social Media Promotion I'm just wondering what this does? It sounds like to me, a user group can click "Promote" on a piece of content they think is good - and it will automatically share it on our social media? But where do I put the account details? Like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram etc? Or have I got this completely wrong? Thank you so much for your help and insight!

Hi, Here in our install, the checkbox "Show that the message has been edited" after clicking the Edit button in a post only shows up to administrators, but not for moderators. I wasn't able to locate an option to enable moderators to have this option available. Please advise! Thanks, Gabe.

Hello. I would appreciate if someone can provide some help with this. When i use the rest api to submit a database record/article I include media like images, video (youtube iframe embed). Now with youtube iframes what happens is that sometimes the video ids get cut, so I end up with an thml like this. Yu will notice that only 3 characters are preserved and the rest somehow get removed during the rest submission. This happens 50% of the time. I have a lot of problems with spammers. Email registration is on Captcha is on etc. Their spam is link spamming. Either a post or link in contact form on their profile page. I tried to enable "moderator" all links, but that is not practical, so I turned that off because that is global and not user group controlled it seemed. What I would like to do is when a new member signs up, I would like them to be moderated for xx amount of posts. After they have made xx amount posts I know they are a legit member and they can post freely. If they have not met the min posts, all of their posts are moderated for example. In my forum, a particular member is "liking" posts by the dozens, and members on that thread are getting hundreds of notifications from his "liking". Is there a way for members to choose to not get notifications for "likes" but only for quotes or mentions? Or is there a way to limit notifications from a particular member?

Is there a way to allow guess to vote on polls? I don’t want to have to create a separate forum for guests only just so they could vote on polls. So I was wondering if that’s an option to allow them. I looked around the admin panel but I didn’t see anything unless I’m missing something. Thanks.

Hey community! Is there a simple way to batch update the expiration date of all active license keys generated by the site? Or would I be stuck manually updating every single license by hand? My forum contains some adult content, and as a result, it will be subject to age verification in France starting January 4th, using apps such as YOTI. This will also apply in the UK from April. Italy, Poland, and Spain are also on the horizon. In fact, the entire European Union has announced the obligation for verification. In the USA, some states also require verification. We are using the "courses" feature a lot for e-learning within our community. And from time to time the contents of the courses needs to be updated. But after some time (maybe like 2 or 3 months) the course instructors are not allowed to edit the course's content anymore. I am having a problem with a users signing up on my board and all they do is fill up the ABOUT ME with a bunch of spam URL links. Some post sometimes spam, but most don't post, just fill in the About Me and abandon the website. For the signature page, you can go into Groups and say it takes 10 posts or setup some rule before a user can use the signature. But I don't see anything like that for the "About Me" page. Or can it be turned off completly? Also I am running the latest version of Invision, when I try to delete my Signature totally, it will not delete. I can change it to anything else, but if I try to clear the whole signature and save it, it will revert b…

Is there a way to turn of HTML posting for example in this box that I am typing in right now? Or actually what the problem is, alot of people copy and paste something from another place on the web, and instead of just TEXT paste, it copies all the HTML garb with it... I have this SETTING turned off for MEMBERS, however it doesn't seemed to stop the HTML code for getting into the post.
