Guests suddenly had complete access to our site, including the ability to post on the forum. I checked the admin logs and nobody has changed the permissions for the group. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

On my forum, we have an "Ask A Mod" section where users can post questions/concerns for the moderation team. Users are only able to see their own posts ("Users can see topics posted by other users?" is toggled off) for privacy and relative anonymity. However, users have noticed that posts made in this subforum are showing up on the activity feed, thus allowing every user to see a preview of every post made. Clicking on the topic takes users to the permissions error page, so they can't read the full post, but it's still an issue that they are able to see the beginning of each post. Upgraded to latest version of IP.Powerboard and IP.Gallery. Forum is working okay yet no gallery images are being displayed. The reason? The upgrade process borked up image url paths. Example: The img src url has my domain listed twice in every photo/video and they do not obviously display. Yes, I have rebuilt the cache. Any ideas? At some point I changed permissions on my articles page while I was awaiting approval to use them. Everything is good now with using the articles, but I can't seem to find the right area to re-adjust the permissions so browsing guests are able to view them as well - I looked every and found a few areas to change them, but all seem to be set accordingly, yet the articles page is completely blank when browsing as a guest? https://www.ohiocannabis.com/articles/ Thanks.

I'm trying to upgrade from 3.4.9 to latest version. I'm having this error on upgrade/index.php Your browser does not accept cookies which are required in order to log in. I tried it with different browsers. But no luck. Any help appreciated

I have made a small script that creates some "sql queries" to convert your database from utf8 to utf8mb4. THIS IS A TEST-SCRIPT <USE ONLY ON A TEST-BOARD> USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! 1. Download this script. 2. Upload it to the root directory of your test-forum 3. Run it in your browser by entering <yourforumurl>/dbc.php 4. Copy all of the commands and run all of them on your database 5. Some of our users are suddenly reporting that icons are missing. We've noted that ad blockers are sometimes the source of this (for instance, that which ships with iOS) but this is new. In Chrome OSX, here is the error from the console a user reported: Any ideas why this would be? It doesn't affect Chrome on either Win 7 or Android for me. I've asked users to try incognito mode or equivalent to ensure content isn't blocked, but this doesn't help. It affects both our parent skin and 2 child skins. 1) Why All Activity stream is not provided with RSS feed ? 2) The RSS feed for any custom stream shows latest 25 items by default. How can I change it to show 100 items ? Which setting/file to edit ? (If its code change, at least tell me which file to edit)

Hey Guys, Does anyone know of any plugins that allow quick editting of topic titles from the forum interface and quick edit from the post interface without the need to enter the first post? This was a prominent feature in IPB3.x and feels like a massive missing feature, however I simply cant seem to find the plugin that would fill this gap if it exists. Thanks for your help!

Hi all, I've been trying to enable the URL rewrite in my 4.1.10 IPS in order to have a smartphone app developed via REST-API. I'm downloading the .htaccess file from my adminCP and place it in the root folder of the forum (/var/www/<mydomain.ext>/vwforum/). Hi all, i'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this question? I'm unsure on how to set-up/handle the automatic emails that my forum sends out. At the moment I am set-up and running and it is using the personal email address that I registered with. I will change this to be a generic forum one, but before getting into that I wanted to now if there are things that I should/shouldn't do? Is there anywhere that I can read some info on this? I am upgrading from IP 3.4.9 to 4.1.10 because there was no SMF converter yet for 4.1.10 yet. So I got the conversion done, now time to upgrade. 1) Downloaded 4..1.10 from my client area 2) Unziped and uploaded everything in the ips_85c0a (not sure if it overwrote any files since I had auto install on) 3) Went to my site to upgrade 4) On step 3 (Applications) it asks " Please select the applications you wish to upgrade. Halfway through the process of turning off designers mode and converting back to IPB, the process stopped. When I tried to refresh the page, I get this An error occurred (500 Error) I get this error in the AdminCP only, the rest of the forum works fine.

(total 80,9% of all servers) Version 5.0 is used by less than 0,1% Version 5.1 is used by 0,8% Version 5.2 is used by 11,3% Version 5.3 is used by 31,7% Version 5.4 is used by 29,7% Version 5.5 is used by 18,4% Version 5.6 is used by 8,5% Version 5.7 is used by less than 0,1% Please can someone tell me why IPS is stopping with the support. Hey, I am running the IPS Suite 4.1.10 with blog, gallery, forum and calendar on PHP 5.4.19. When I try to submit a blog post with quotation marks in the content a 404 error page is shown up. Same thing if I use the query tool in the cms like: select * from blog_blogs where blog_settings = '<a href=""' This problem doesnt happen if I leave comments or forum posts with quotation marks. Maybe other special chars are also affected. In my local enviroment it works fine so I think it has to be a server configuration problem. Any idea?

I've a Paypal account associated with a long standing eBay business, and have recently set up Nexus subscriptions for my forum. Each have a separate email address to receive payments within my main Paypal account. When a Forum subscription customer receives his card statement, it refers to the main non-forum business. This has occasionally caused a chargeback from Paypal because customers don't recognise the payment. I need my two businesses to remain separate. Is there a setting within the Admin Panel that gives a description of "Forum Subscription Package" on the customer's card statement to avoid confusion? Thanks in advance Mike

So twice now I have tried to update my test board from 4.1.8 to 4.1.10. Each time the auto-updater fails and says that I have to upload the files manually; when I do i get nothing but white screens on both the front end and admin side. Lots of errors: I have tried restoring a backup, and re-uploading both the delta files and the full 4.1.10 set but nothing seems to work. Welcome any ideas please.
