Hello everyone, Quick question. On Community Suite 4, is there a way of publishing an announcement for a specific user group, in this case my moderators group? If so, how do I do this, because seemingly the built in announcements feature does not allow this? Thanks for your help, Mike.

So I was upgrading my forum from v4.1.7 to the latest. The upgrade process asked me to upload files manually via FTP. I did so and triple-checked that the files were uploaded correctly. But now the upgrade screen is stuck on this step, and it won't let me continue forward: http://screencast.com/t/VQB732xj I've triple checked that the file (/home/leogurac/public_html/actualized/forum-test/system/Text/HtmlPurifierInternalLinkDef.php) has been uploaded correctly. It looks fine. But why can't I complete the upgrade process?? I'm totally stuck! What should I do now?

Hi all. I am attempting to do a Theme Override for specific forums. I edit the forum in ACP, then go to theme Override and select the theme I want to use for that forum. Then I save.. When i go to view the forum on my site, I get a completely blank page. The theme I am attempting to use works fine if I manually change to it via bottom of page. Even if I try to override to the IPS default theme I still get a blank page. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Is there any good Social Sharing script/module available for IPB 4.1.10 ? Facebook & Twitter sharing buttons are enough. But it should ideally display WHATSAPP sharing button when the same content is viewed in mobile. The buttons should be prominent similar to below.

Seeing that IP.Content has the capability of creating a new thread everytime a new article is posted, my question is: Is this good or bad for SEO purposes? Do search engines see this as duplicate content and a weak attempt at creating more content on the site, thus probably flagging it as spam? I've always wondered about this... Also, can IPB function without using session IDs within URLs?

Hi! I've make a js inside pages template, and i can use inside any page in my suite, but... is there any way to use inside an article? maybe something like <script src="{resource="myscriptname.js"}"></script> Also, something standard user write article in my community... We, in ipb, do not have "draft" feature, then user can't write part of article and complete some time later. And if save with "to edit", i can maintain to "unapprove" status, but i don't have found any way to permit re-edit for this. Exist " Edit own records indefinitely", but this not work for hidden/unapproved article. Maybe exist som…

I'm running v4.1.10 and I'd be grateful for help: I want to set up a "splash page", explaining what my site is about with several columns of text and images, and offering registration by subscription. I've got this set up using "Pages" so that Guests see this page, and are offered registration with links through to two subscription options in the store. All good. But what I'd like to do is then have subscribed members log in and be taken directly to the forum - grateful for suggestions about how to achieve this

In IPS 4.1.9 the following feature was added (source) : This does not currently seem to be working on my site. I'm getting a 500 error on my homepage on my site, and I'm not seeing this debug output. I'm running IPS 4.1.10, and I'm an administrator, so I don't see why this wouldn't work. Is there a setting where I can configure this feature?

I want to disable the attachments altogether and allow for the users to be able to include in their topics only images in base64 format. Questions: I should be able to control the total size of each topic / reply with the appropriate ACP setting , corect? If i put 1024 kb it will mean that all content including base64 cannot be more than 1024kb. Do i have to use the plugin of ckeditor for base64 images? What other user-friendly ways i could use to enable including base64 images? Any caveats on doing the above? Tahnks

In 3.x, there is an article covering the creation of a custom payment gateway: https://www.invisionpower.com/support/guides/_/advanced-and-developers/ipnexus/how-to-create-your-own-payment-gateway-r129 The above instructions however do not work for ipb 4.x Can anybody help me reproduce the step of Adding a record to nexus_gateways (described in the link above) in ipb 4.x? *I wouldn't have asked this question here if IPB support would have answered me. They said that documentation is in work and until then i should find support here... it beats me why i'm paying for support...i'm quite annoyed by this.

Hey guys, Anyone good with mySQL commands and PHP? My server is currently running PHP 5.6.19 and MySQL 5.16.29... I basically need to run a query with the following criteria: UPDATE ipb_core_attachments SET attach_hits = some numeric value (ie. $downloads) WHERE attach_ext = mp3 AND attach_date = LESS THAN 30 DAYS What I find odd is that attach_date is being stored as for example: 1458181690 Is that an Unix stamp? Hello, when i activate ssl all seems to be fine, otherwise there are some bugs : Popups are not working, its opening new window In forums we cant go to next page (1 2 3 4 etc.) When i deactivate ssl all works fine! is that a bug or i missed some thing with ssl ?

So... I want to display one page layout on my home page to guests, and another totally different one to non-guests (probably HeadStand's Social Stream if I buy it). I know you can use the HTML logic to do that with certain blocks, but how could I do that with entire page layouts? Guests would just see a big introduction post, and then non-guests would see the Social Stream with some other blocks on the sidebar. Is this possible, or?

I have a lot of users chatting - and used to oldschool IRC commands in the chat. The command /me is often used - and supported by IPS chat. Why not have the humourous (copied from wikipedia) /slap Sam which would trigger the chat room to announce something along the lines of: Steve slaps Sam around a bit with a large trout
