I work for a non-profit religious organization that serves 600 congregations in North America. Once of the reasons we choose Invision to host our community engagement platform is the clubs feature. Our hope is that the leaders of our congregations will not only participate in our "open" forums, but create spaces for their own leadership teams using the clubs feature. With that in mind, there are two suggestions/features we would love to see added to clubs: The ability for club owners to re-order tabs, and The ability for club owners to limit permissions as to who can upload resources in a "files" tab. In ACP member management, there is a cool tool to hide all content or delete but I don't see an un-hide option....which would help with a situation where you hid all the content and want to go back and make it all visible in one shot. I saw a plugin, but fell it should be built in if you can hide.

I'm not sure if this is possible and we already have an image and video sitemap that generates when you have the gallery app installed. Is there a way to include image and videos that are uploaded into topics and not embedded, included in the image and video sitemaps or have an additional image and video sitemap using the the topic name, url, time stamp, video/image loc, etc.? I think it could really help with organic traffic and indexing media content, drawing more traffic from search.

I started using IPB during the 3.X era. I have watched the full evolution of the 4.x generation. It's been a long journey to get to where we are right now. I have to say I am pretty happy with the current functionality. I know innovation is key to keep the money rolling in for IPB, but personally I am hoping that things remain mostly the same for a long time to come. I know there are a few things that can be nitpicked (like downloads needing some love) but over all, really great work thus far. Fantastic software! Thank you IPB team for some awesome software. Also big thank you to all of the 3rd party Devs. You guys ROCK!

I would love to see notifications when an admin or staff recognizes member content. Here are a few examples of notifications sent to a member when: Notification sent when gallery image is featured Notification sent when any content is featured Notification sent when content is rated Notification sent when content is picked by "Our Pics" I am sure there are other "ego booster" notifications that could be triggered. Despite running an active niche Board for going on 17 years I remain a bit of a technophobe. I tend to put off any Upgrades/Updates be it on computers, smart phone or tablets, and also the Board Software. IPB 4.3.4 Steps to reproduce: 1. Press "Create Bulk Mail" ( /admin/?adsess=...&app=core&module=bulkmail&controller=bulkmail&do=form) , enter some details, press "Save" At this point a record in `core_bulk_mail` table is created with `mail_start` = 0 2. I noticed something today when my better half attached and embedded videos which had been shot vertically; since they stretched to fill the horizontal container space, their full height extended beyond the page height. I fixed it in our case by adding a class 'vertical' to the HTML of the video and the CSS video.vertical { max-height: 100vh; width: auto; position: relative; top: 50%; left: 50%; transform: translate(-50%,0); } Obviously, it's not ideal for users to have to manually enter a CSS class every time they upload a vertical image, so I thought it would be something the core software might handle if it could detect the orientation.

We are fighting a huge spam problem that can’t be stopped by the IPS spam protections available. We even enabled two factor authentication and that doesn’t stop the onslaught of Spam. The only thing all messages have in common is Korean language. I’m requesting the ability to moderate content automatically based on language. For example, if language doesn’t equal English then hold for moderation. This would be amazing.

for one thing when sharing to facebook the url does not even go with the post you cannot copy and paste the url from the share page on an iphone x since facebook wont allow automattic content generation there needs to be one button that adds url and content to the share feature so we can share items when on the go

One of my users apparently thought that a post in a topic is stupid and replied with the famous Captain Picard facepalm image. Of course, I don't allow such behavior and promptly hid the reply. To my surprise today another user has linked to the topic and the embed image is...you guessed it, Captain Picard facepalm. So, I am sharing it here for amusement purposes, but it would be great if embedding can source only attachments from non hidden replies :)

Hello folks, I run a restaurant website. Suppose a member wants to find all Spanish restaurants in Philadelphia. They would click on the "Spanish" tag, and get not only all Spanish restaurants in Philadelphia, but also information about Madrid, where to dine in Barcelona, what's showing at the Prado, etc. Having a Boolean "AND" will enable this to be winnowed down to what you want. After the member gets this first list, they click on "Philadelphia", and this will produce results for: Spanish & Philadelphia and the AND'ing of the two tags will give them almost exactly what they want. My server is running MariaDB 10.3.7 and the last IPS version is recommending me to update to at least MySQL 5.6.2. I have a feeling someday IPS upgrader will say i can't upgrade to the new version without updating MySQL to at least 5.6...

In fluid view if forums or categories are selected there should be an optical feedback for the users because sometimes they just forget they excluded something. Especially if you have a large list of categories and forums. Something like "show all forums" or "remove forums filter".

When clicking on a post while looking at the Fluid View the breadcrumbs do not show the path to the topic. This eliminates an easy way back to a particular forum or category.

Just gave 4.1.2 a quick test run, some great new and long-awaited features for sure that are really exciting, but at a bit of an impasse on the new menu system. While the interface for creating the menu is great, from what I'm seeing, if you have even just one menu item that has a drop down menu or a child, all menu items, whether they have a drop down or not, now require a double click to work. The first click oddly highlights the tab, but it takes a second click to actually change the page or app. If all drop downs / children are removed, then the menu works like one would expect. Pages need custom Error Page options. Why can I create a custom message explaining to users why they cannot access a forum, but I cannot do this for a database or page within the Pages app? We have an entire E-Learning platform built with your software with no ability to up-sell or customize the error pages except to modify some words in the language file? First off, I LOVE using the this forum software, and the "All Activity" page is one of my favorite features. It would be super useful if the entries on the all activity page could "slide down" into showing the actual post content and allowed me to respond without having to navigate away to the actual post url.
