Hi At the moment I have large communities that have all been upgraded to the latest IPB version. The issues I get are the stream and they way the default stream displays every post. Members want to have Latest Updated Topics (not posts) I have shown them that they can create their own stream to do this, But it doesn't seem to easy for them. On the last version we had a big red button saying "Latest Posts" and it gave only the latest updated topics. So, the question is, how can i give them back the Big Red button, with the latest updated topics without sharing the stream? I can share my stream but it asks them to "Add to your Stream" every time th…

Sorry if this has already been discussed before, but I can't find a way to prevent a group from using private messages in the new version 4.x It's something important in my new project & Community so I was wondering if I 'm missing something ... I can block chat . .. perfect But not privates. If I add 0 to "conversations allowed to start per day", I get an error message. Help appreciated, thank you

1- is it possible to use user profile cover in database templates? i have this page here for example this is one of the records everything is custom fields but the image from the background on top is not with any fields so this image is shows up for every records and i want to use the user profile cover instead 2- is it possible to change the button "Add new apply" to something else ? i know we can change it in the database settings -> language . but what ever i name the button there is always "Add new" in front it

Hello, switched recently from vBulletin 4 to IPB 3 and upgraded to IPB 4. The custom profile fields from vB got converted. But they don't show up most of the times. I found this information: Custom Profile Fields In some profiles I can see the fields but most of the time they are not displayed. When I choose "Edit User Profile" more profile fields show up but not all. After I save the profile fields in the editor, I can see all fields from the editor in the user profile even when some of the fields didn't show up before I got in the profile editor. Any hints? PS: Is there an option to force existing members to fill out new profile…

Right now I have IPS with IP.Content in a folder on my root. I have been using Wordpress as the CMS, and I want to just use IPS now. I found a guide the other day on how to do this, but now I can't find it. There was a couple of lines of code I had to add or change. Thanks.

Myself and my members cannot upload profile photos on the iPhone, we press the choose file and nothing pops up. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks! Tested it on this site and it doesn't work here either.

When I was running my forum on version 3.2 as Admin I could see all members IP addresses in every post that was made, but since I upgraded to 4.0 I can't do that anymore and I can't find a section in the Admin CP that will allow me to switch on this option. I enabled signing up and signing in with Google and Twitter. I've had a few people register with a username of Guest coming to me in the email, but a "real" username in the ACP. For my registration, I also have a required field that I help use to block spammers. That field is being bypassed. I presume these users are coming from Google and Twitter? Is there a way to require these users to complete the required field?

Hi, i know that some of my members have outdated email adresses, so i like to force them to re-validate them. Is it possible to set them to "Email validation" again?! I don´t find a way via ACP Is there a flag in the Database for it? Thanks for your help kind regards McLouis

I'd like to change it to Support and just use the free 5 channel chat as a support channel. We already have an IRC server for chat which doesn't integrate with IPS Anyone know how to change the name? I want to use it but I already have a Chat tab linking to our IRC chatroom.

In one of my databases I don't need to use the listing view. There's no need for people to leave comments or reviews and there's nothing to read. It's for audio pronunciations, so instead of taking you to the display view, clicking the record title plays the audio. What I'd like to do is add the link to report the recording to the listing view. Hello! As in IP.Content, insert feedback SEPARATELY from comments? Well I need the tab selection, you need to insert only reviews. Finally got around to actioning the last update, and now the site is REALLY slow for a chunk of users. Tried clearing the cache but it's still a sloth. Any reason for this? Or any way to fix it and/or speed things up?

When I enter my chat room I'm having an issue where after awhile, when I type something and hit enter the field in which I enter my text to send doesn't clear and then it starts spamming the same text over and over all on it's own. Anyone run into this? Ideas on how I can fix this?

Is anyone else noticing Polls not fully listing all the voters? I've had several polls on my forum set so you can see who voted, but not all users who voted seem to get listed on them. It'll say for example 11 people voted on an option, but it'll list only 7 of them, etc... EDIT: Think I found the culprit. I'll file it as a bug. Apparently if you change your vote, then change it back, it won't list you anymore as a voter, but still count your vote.
