I'm un able to save global template. I get this error message, "This theme file could not be saved " I thought maybe there was an error with my changes but I get this message even I try to save the default, with out making any changes. Anyone else having this problem?

My IPS forum is running on 3.2.3 because I really don't know how to upgrade it, what disruption it might cause, what skins I will lose and whether it might wipe my entire forum of all it's posts and what to do if it does.. I am completely clueless about how safe it is and yet I really don't want to be running a way out of date board for my members. (although I'm aware that at 3.2.3 I probably am already running a way out of date board).. Help and advice needed. Thanks so much..

I was just curious, if I were to use the Amazon S3 file storage, would all the files still end up on the local vps too? Like if there was 200gb of files, would I need a vps with at least 200gb of storage even if I used S3?

I run a forum with plenty of picture posting in the forum section. It gets quite annoying when users quote each others posts with lots pictures. Is it possible to just display picture url in the posted quote, not the pictures themselves? I can't seem to find anything about this in settings.

Hi, we just upgraded our community form IP.Board 3.x to IPS 4. We are creating our homepage and I've got a questions to the sidebar block. We managed to put our content there (see attached screenshot) but we want to appear as the built-in blocks with a header and use the standard font and font color for sidebar block content. As we use two languages (english and german) it would be cool to show the header in the selected language. sidebar_block.tiff What do we need to add to our custom blocks?

Hi, I have just upgraded my forums to the latest version (not upgrade since Sept/Oct) and I have just noticed that there is a small fault with my reputation system. I have things set so users can like posts and with that the users that like individual posts are listed next to it. As you can see in my screenshots, first one shows how it is displaying on the front end second one shows how I have it set and the final one shows another part of this fault where all I am getting when someone likes a post it doesn't display who liked it all it says is someone. Any help to get it back to showing the username? Thanks

The Contact Us-form that is accessible using the link in the footer doesn't show the senders email address. When I receive an email from guests who are using the contact form the "sender" is my own admin email address. So I can never reply back as I don't know their email address. How can I fix this?

Under profile pic it has the text name of user group so say its Admin and then you add a group rank image now you have the text "Admin" with a rank image under it that has Admin kinda looks tacky or defeats the purpose of the group rank image is there away to not display the group text name and just the group image?

Using latest IPB4, not sure if this is a bug or am I doing something wrong but..selecting a member moderate specific moderators (under Members - Moderators) does nothing really - that member can still moderate ALL forums? Is there anything perhaps I am not doing properly? Thanks.

I have an OFFLINE WAMP stack and wish to use IPB locally to play around with things. I am doing this instead of playing with things on my live site. Surely this is allowed for development purposes but I can't get it to install since it's OFFLINE and as a result cannot verify the Licence key. anyone know how to make this work?

Hello, I am having an issue with a block in the pages app. for some reason I cannot remove the forum statistics block. It is on every page I create by default. After I delete the block and press finish editing it is gone, but when I refresh it is still there. I've used the built in support tool in the ACP which cleared the cache and generated a new theme. None of this worked. Is anyone else experiencing this, or is there a way to fix it? Thanks!

Hey! So I accidentally flagged a user as spam a while ago and while I fixed it now, it seemed to have hidden all of his topics and posts. I managed to solve unhiding all of the topics including all of his posts but for some reason, the first posts of every topic he has made is still hidden with no real option to unhide them! Is this a known bug of IPS4? Have I missed something? I see the posts as hidden in the ModCP under Hidden Posts and I can select the posts but I cannnot do anything with them, not unhide but also not hide! I can only edit the post... Thanks for any help!

I recently enabled a plugin that was already installed on my boards and it crashed my server, the server is back up and running now but my forums are still inaccessible, is there a way i can disable the plugin via ftp? If not where can i locate the logs to show what actually went wrong. Thanks.

A report made of current active user ABC is showing up as a report made of long-inactive user XYZ. Several other reports are showing the same where whoever's content was reported, that person's username is suddenly showing as the username of different inactive users. The only thing ALL of these have in common is that they share the IP 127.0.0.1. When I use the IP tool, many active users and so many more inactive users show up under that IP address. Is this a glitch? Is there a way to rectify this on my own or should I elevate to IP support?

Hi, I've setup a number profile field for my users and have different problems with member search: Setting the field as read-only (disable "Member can edit value"), then member search for a specific field value does not work anymore, instead all members matching the display name are found Hiding the profile field (disable "Show publicly on member's profile") still shows the field on the member search for each user, although only the staff can see the field in the profile Are these problems a bug or by design (I've tested version 4.1.8)?
