This might sound silly, and maybe I'm missing something easy. On my own board (new install) when I quote a message, my cursor starts immediately under the quote box, which means when I type it ends up being too close, squashed up. On here, it starts a line below that, if you know what I mean. I know I can hit the Enter key, but my members aren't doing it and it looks messy. I tried to replicate it here, but won't do it, always puts a line space in...

So I finally decided to force https on my website. I added the htaccess file and changed to https in my conf global file but when I try to login to the acp it says your information is about to be sent over an insecure connection and could be read by others, do you wish to continue? So I hit continue and it just remains at the login prompt and removes my name and password What am I doing wrong?

Hi, I've imported my users from Burning Board 4.1 and upgraded to IP.S 4.1. I've agreed that users can have 5.000 conversations in the messenger, but they can't be invited to a conversation. I attached screenshot of the bug and the settings below. Is there anyone else who have this issue?

Hi is it safe to remove the orig_ tables from the database after the upgrade? I noticed it backed up these tables and renamed them which is quite cool as a back up, but now would like to remove them to reduce size of databases. cheers

As the title suggest, I'm having trouble setting up my Email. But before I make a ticket, I thought I'd try here. I've tried using both my original gmail and my new google apps account for my domain. When I try PHP I get the error "email could not be sent" - when I try SMTP I get "Connection refused". If I disable my firewall I get the same result. Any advice or ideas for troubleshooting?

Just got upgraded to 4.0. All of my members signatures disappeared! I don't get why they would even remotely happen for the upgrade. If I had signatures ON they they should have carried over via the upgrade. Thanks.

I have a script that checks if the user is the the group guest (not logged in at all) or members and allow access only to members to the page. Could somebody please take a look at my site? www.kartreview.co.uk. For some reason if I use my modified skin, Profile pictures do not show for some users.. If i switch to the default skin they work fine. I don't think I have altered the code for profile pictures and recently went through an upgrade and didn't notice any changes to the code. Maybe i have missed an update to the skin files? Thanks.

Hi, I'm not 100% sure, but I think that my Moderation Queue jest bugged. It works backwards. 2 things are possible: I didn't have everything moderated properly or it is just bugged. But this second one is more possible I think. I'm digging in Admin CP and I can't find anything to configure Moderation Queue - where is it?

im trying to create a new style to show my articles just like these ones which comes with Pages I created a database Featured Records template just others and i have assigned to my articles database So now i have edited the index template like for example here http://hellshammers.net/articles/ you can see the featured article is on left side and other articles are vertically listed in right side now i want to edit the title, content, image... and others and these codes are all in the Entry template but nothing happens when i edit it, i have even tried to delete everything from the Entry template still nothing happens looks like its using the default entry…

Hello, We set up our forums a few months ago and one of our registered users has not been able to log in since first registering. Initially, she was having issues with Safari where once she clicked on "I am not a robot" the screen hung up and would not let her select the "accept terms" box to finish the registration. When she used FireFox, she was able to get further and complete the registration but she never received a validation e-mail. I ended up going into the AdminCP and validating her account after she tried to "resend confirmation email" a few times and never received any e-mails. Now, she has tried to connect to our forums and instantly received an err…

There is a basic option to create a new topic in the forums, every time a new record is added to the database. By default, the field labeled "content" in the database is the only field that is posted into the new topic on the forums. How would I go about deciding which record fields show up in the forum post? For example, I'd love for the forum topic to include only the database/record field called "teaser" with the read more link - as opposed to the fully story.

Super annoying menu manager bug: I remove the all of the menus from the Menu manager (I'm using a custom navbar and don't want anything from IPS's menu manager there). So I delete both menus/their children menus. "Publish this menu". Then, I wake up the next morning, and the menu is back. Again, I have to go in and delete the menu. I also notice upon updating the Forum application it automatically adds the default menus even though I deleted them.
