I've noticed a slow down of my site over the last 24 hours and its looks like I've found the issue but I dont know what to do about it. I use elasticmail via smtp. I've just changed my smtp password but I'm still sending out mail. The logs show authentication error out of credit, so I'm assuming that whatever script is running is pulling my smtp details from the settings I put into IPB. Where do I start in terms of getting rid of this?

I have a TESTINSTALL instance of IPS 4.x.x Forums upgraded from my previous IPB 3.4.6 forums and have made many changes to the ACP in terms of almost every setting, including building out new forums labels/structure/mods/perms, Menu Manager, etc. I will be upgrading my production IPB3 instance soon and want to overwrite my ACP settings from TESTINSTALL if possible to avoid the repeat work. Using UPDATE on the core_sys_conf_settings table seems obvious and relatively risk-free ... any gotchas here? I wanted to add some css to the 'custom.css' file of the theme I am using, and when I click on that file, or really any css file, the page refreshes and brings up the Sign In page. I've already did the following: ran the support tool; checking any cache methods are working; reinstalled the theme as new and tried that theme Has anyone ever come across this issue or know of a fix? I did submit a ticket to IPS, but I was hoping to get this resolved as quickly as possible. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello! I added a bunch of bad word filters because I am working towards cleaning up my forum. Google Ad manager insists the pages do not have any profanity and have linked me to pages that use bad words. It shows a lot of instances of the F-word, however I created a filter that should prohibit that word from showing. However, it still does. Why is that? The f-word should not appear in this post, however it is there despite the rule. I just discovered our spammers have been writing elaborate "About This Blog" pieces that aren't removed when we flag their accounts as spammers. All other posts etc... are removed appropriately. Is this a bug, on purpose, or am I missing some option to remove this stuff?

Hi all I'm currently building a database and setting up the fields. Right now the values from a checkbox set field get displayed on the same line on the display template, separated by commas. How do I get each value from the checkbox set to be displayed on one line or rather how could I give each value a tag so I can manipulate it with css accordingly?

Hello. I don't know what happened, but my entire forums was wiped out just now. NONE of the topics are there. Literally everything is gone. All I did was, in the back-end, move one sub-forum to be its own forum. Then I went back to the site and the forums were entirely gone. I'm not sure what to do 😢 When I login to the admin panel for my forums, it shows the forums as:'There are no results to display.' I noticed in the new patch it says there was a 'forum sorting' fix. I am having issues with my forum regarding how to set the proper file permissions per folders and files. IPS support stated this: Does this mean the above folders need to be set to 777 including all the folders and files within those folders? Does this also mean everything else should be set to something else? If so, could someone list which folders/files should be set to what? I would greatly appreciate the help with this. Hi all. When I promote a forum post to 'Our Picks," all is perfect. In fact, I can post from any other module, and all is good. When I post from a Blog, the blog category shows up AND it adds multiple br breaks above and below. Any idea how to fix that? I've looked in templates and can't find it. Could this be a bug?

In Staff > Administrator If I modify Settings > Posting > Can manage general posting settings , the link in ACP Dissapear. I have posing in ACP I restrict permission only to "General posting tab" And link dissappears, and cann´t access to the other posting tabs.

Hi, So, i've been looking around and searching abit, and was wondering if this was already possible, or if anyone ever thought about making this possible, and if so, what would be the best way to get this done: I'm looking for a way to automatically load new comments into a topic. I know that currently while you're typing, a notification will pop-up, notifying you of new comments, that you can load after clicking a link, but i want the comments to be added continuously, without doing anything, except when i'm typing, then that pop-up will be fine. Any idea's?

Hello I have installed and tested Pages but when i set it 'default', forum links change, add /forums/ to links. com/topic/ to com/forums/topic/ But i want to save com/topic/ , is it possible? Because i want to use Pages just for showing LATEST TOPICS and STATS from Forum. That's all.

The option in server performance - Cache sidebar, header and footer blocks for a set amount of time. Is there a way to exclude some of the blocks from being cached?, For example exclude the whos online block from being cached so it up dates straight away. Is the topic feed cached? Thank you
