Hey all i am having issues with fields in the database not showing as i changed my language. Should the dafualt lang_id be 1 As it seems to show here as 0 or am i missing something? Things like form names show on the front end but not in the databse unless i go into the forums and click save it then seems to populate the databse with the correct info. (i have now removed the additional langauge i added an donly have one language which is dafualt and UK english. Is there any way to refresh the database to pull in the field into for the forums, reactions, user filds etc.? Like i say it all shows fine on the front end its the database that…

I made a support ticket #43321 about data-attributes not showing up in pages using custom wrapper. I am very aware any modifications doesn't constitute support, however I thought maybe if using only the default custom wrapper with no changes maybe support is there? Our site's current page speed score is terrible. The exact score varies, but it's between a 2 and an 8 on mobile most times. I think the biggest culprits of the slowdown are the large CSS files that IPS loads (framework.css, responsive.css, cjmg.css, mega.css, traditional.css, block.css, cjmg_custom.css, core.css, core_responsive.css, page.css, custom.css) and JS that IPS loads (root_library.js, root_js_lang_1.js, global_core.js, plugins.js, front_menus.js, front.js, global.js, front_app.js, root_map.js). None of those files are related to our theme as far as I know. Any ideas on how we can reduce the number of these that we have to load? Or at least have some …

Hello, I wonder if IPB offers a Facebook-like feed where people can see the latest community update (like the streams or "all activity" tab) but including reaction buttons. user statuses, photos, as well as instant comments on those posts?

So an Admin of mine apparently tried to rename a discussion forum or category, after doing that ALL of the forums disappeared. As in the forum is blank. The weird thing is that the forums, posts, and topics all appear in the database and all appear okay. What is also weird is that you can even see the missing forums when you use the site search feature to find them, but they throw an error if you try to access them. Has anyone had something like this happen on their board? What is also weird is that I can create new forums and posts just fine. I don't see any obvious errors as it appears that the forum is working fine for new posts. All other features are working, its alm…

Hey Guys, so the european high court has ruled that all cookies that are not technically necessary are to be disabled until a user consents. There's one cookie within the IPS Suite that's a problem: the reCAPTCHA "NID" Tracking Cookie by Google. (KeyCaptcha has similar cookies...) As I cannot disable a captcha mechanism I am wonderhin how you guys handle this... Thanks 🙂

Hey Guys, so local law dictates that users need to be able to unsubscribe from newsletters with a simple process. Is there a feature within IPS that allows just that? I have a community with over two decades of users, many of them recieve newsletters (~1-2 times a year) but don't even know their account password so they cannot unsubscribe... Thanks 🙂

hi, i wonder is there a way to change the behavior when a file is uploaded to Downloads system by adding a link to a file (as opposed to uploading the file) and when a user clicks download link he is then taken to offsite download page in the same window making him leave my site. can this be done is it is opened in a new tab instead?

Hi guys. Just wanted to pick your collective brains. I am in the process of reviving an old feature from my vbulletin board. This was a fungi resource/database which contained a list of 50 different fungus, and information on each one. There was a facility to search for fungi based on what category they fell into. All this had its only landing page which served as the main page for the entire directory. This also played a slideshow picking random images from each directory. I have had Dawpi write a converter to bring all this data across to IPS and it is currently stored into records. What I am looking for now is the best way to present these records on the…

Hi all, Topic title says it all. On our board the Facebook Login & Registration plugin has been enabled for several years. I prefer to step away from it, but before I disable it, I'm curious to the impact it will have on our users with an active connection. Will they still be able to log in? If so, with which password? Hello, this morning my website is showing the following 500 error: Table './stampadflh123456/ip_core_sessions' is marked as crashed and should be repaired I was able to login to the admin page, i have a EX145 error. Hi there, Life got in the way of us keeping our installation up to date, and we're currently running v4.3.6. The main reason was the requirement for a PHP upgrade. Regardless, I finally got around to upgrading PHP. Now we're on PHP v7.3.14, but the upgrade tool continues to say we're still on PHP v7.0.33. I'm not sure what I'm missing, here. I've already restarted the web server (we're using nginx, though I'd like to ultimately go back to Apache but thats a whole other discussion for another day), and also restarted php7.3-fpm. What am I missing here?

We've just had an issue where somebody registered and then with a very short time had managed to "follow" pretty well our entire user database of over 300,000 people – and as you can imagine the system started send out "XXX is following you" notifications which when clicked on would take you to that person's profile with a load of spam for sex and pornography sites. We caught it 20 minutes after it registered and we managed to delete a very large number of the notifications that were queued up. However, I then decided that it would be a good idea to configure new users to only be able to employ the "follow" facility after XX number of posts – but there doesn't seem …

I added Pages to my license. I have followed the instructions to manually download the Invision Community files from my client area and upload to my server using FTP. My site is completely broken. Invision support confirmed this is what I should do. Has anyone else done this? How does it not break your site when overwriting folders on your server? What am I missing? We used to be able to import from IPS to IPS. Can this be done again? I am moving to a new server and would like to start with a "clean" install and import my current info. If not, any advice on moving about 45GB of files and 800k+ posts? I will have the software vendor do it, just want to pass along the info to them. Thanks

Curious to see what you all think of a Guest IP resolving to an AWS EC2 instance (per the hostname), 3.81.x.x range. My first thought was screen scraping through a proxied EC2 instance since many bots are blocked? Just not sure how "worth it" that is...or really doing anything as a guest via an EC2 instance (especially with my site).
