bearback
The option in server performance - Cache sidebar, header and footer blocks for a set amount of time. Is there a way to exclude some of the blocks from being cached?, For example exclude the whos online block from being cached so it up dates straight away. Is the topic feed cached? bfarber
There is no configuration option on your end to exclude blocks, however a developer can decide whether to implement caching or not at the code level. Most of the time people cache blocks for 30 or 60 seconds, a time frame low enough that I wouldn't really sweat something like the "online users" block being cached while still improving overall performance.
