So sometimes we have annoying members that report content without saying anything (so we don't know whether it's a legitimate or founded report). Would be great to make it mandatory for members to add a comment when reporting something. It would save moderators some time, especially when report is about a file (which may be a document with lots of text).

When you click the 'Manage Followed Content' in your user menu; the default followed content of the Marketplace downloads are shown. It would be nice to have the following: 1. An option to re-order the left menu. 2. An 'overall' menu item where you can see all content you follow.

IPB 4.1.8.1. I created custom activity streams under System → Streams: Then I created friendly URLs for them under System → Advanced Configuration → Friendly URLs: After that, I added new menu items under System → Menu Manager that point to created streams: The problem is friendly URLs are not used: Although they work. Please fix.

So I love the dashboard, but why can't I get topic/post/activity stats? As an admin, I'd love to just have a couple charts first thing I see when I land on a page, so I can very quickly get a feel of health, etc. I know the stats are all there in the stats area, but a few quick views would be amazing.

Following is sometimes a moderation tool. Admins and mods (setting to determine if mods are allowed) should be able to follow a member anonymously, meaning do not send the notification. This is a great tool for monitoring members after a report, or watching a suspected spammer. Of course there is the method of creating a stream for one member's content but allowing this would be great as well. Also please consider changing the member following language: "Let others see that I follow _______." This is deceptive because the member gets a notification. It makes it sound anonymous but you can't follow anonymously, the member is notified. Should be cleared up. Mayb…

Thought this existed. Was just planning how to use 4.0 blogs to their fullest. A lot of members in 3.4 use the forums for blog-style topics in certain sub-forums so want to get them to use blogs after the upgrade. Just noticed categories don't exist. That would be a nice addition.

On the latest version of this site (invisionpower.com), the brand/logo seems to have been completely removed on mobile within the forum and other areas of the suite? What is the thinking there as it's not a good look for a guest hitting a page (via Google) for the first time and not knowing what company they are dealing with? Am I missing something? Keen for the focus to be mobile-first rather than desktop skewed. I feel that the entire header needs a complete overhaul for mobile to make it a lot simpler and much easier to drive a user around the site. Couple Thoughts/Questions: 1) Is there an option for an overall list of "top downloads / top rated" etc view in the home screen (https://community.invisionpower.com/files/), without having to click into a category first? 2) Once you do click into a category (https://community.invisionpower.com/files/category/170-look-and-feel/), is there an option for sorting by "most downloads/purchases?" I see that information is available in the display of each item, but you can't sort that way. Do you know if the 4.2 updates will contain these features? The ability for a user to request a pin or feature on a topic? (maybe i tiny pin button inside the first post - which will then be flagged in the modcp for pin - or go further and automate it if enough people flag it for pin, do the same to unpin it and make the value changeable by admin) And rewards/rep for reporting content that is moderated? (report a post - post is edited by admin or removed - system rewards those who reported it) I ask because i see this as 2 great user engagement / rewards to promote good behavior - features that i really want to see.

In IPB3, the status system was, for the most part, self-contained within its sidebar widget. The widget would show the latest statuses and a couple of comments underneath each, with an Ajax link to add the rest of the comments and a simple form to add a comment underneath. While the IPB3 system was simplistic and mildly buggy (accented characters breaking Ajax, anyone?) it was really efficient from a UX standpoint. When we updated to IPS4, one of the biggest complaints we had from our users was that statuses were treated almost like topics - you can see (part of) the status itself, but you have to load a new page to see comments or reply. A suggestion which I think would make things a little easier on moderators, when hiding a post or topic a popup appears asking for the reason for hiding. It would be a great to have an option that alerts the member as to why it was hidden, I have 2 suggestions to do this, one would be a checkbox that could be clicked which would give you the option of automatically sending a PM to the member, including the reason which the moderator gave for hiding the post. Or for the member to acknowledge their post has been hidden the same way they would a warning but a much friendlier screen before they can continue to use the forum. As the sidebar can be configured at each section of the website, it is very time consuming adding a new block to all pages. I suggest a simple checkbox inside the ACP to tell the system that we want all the sidebars to be exactly the same, so configuring one sidebar we configure them all if this setting is enabled.

You visit the Client Area and you get an ugly error message. You click Sign-In and get a nicer page https://invisionpower.com/login/ You click "Forgot password" and you get a 404 page! https://invisionpower.com/clients/index.php?app=core&module=global§ion=lostpass Furthermore, while logged in to my forum account, if I click Client Area I can see a purchase I made from the Marketplace, but I cannot see my core IPB license etc, which I guess is under a different but linked account. Not clear and hopefully they'll fix that 404 page pretty urgently @Lindy

I would like to suggest you change your Soudncloud embedding back to the smaller player, the big one is ugly and is rarely wanted. When you go to embed, there's a player you can select next to the default player, which is better and more compact.

The RSS import to forum topic is an essential feature for me but is unfortunately not suitable due to the very limited configuration options. I suggest the following changes... Add ability to set number of items to import at a time Add ability to set time frequency of importing items Customize what is displayed in the topic from the feed Is this something to be implemented in the future? I think it would be an awesome feature if there could be a way to make a field unique that way that if it already exists in the database that it cannot be re-submitted. I don't know how many people would use such a filter but I know that I could think of at least two applications: Unique URLs (like to a directory like what I run) Unique members (That way only one submission can be done by the member in a database that only one active record can be allowed) Obviously I don't expect it to be perfect (domain.com versus domain.com/index.php) but it would help me immensely if I could force certain things to be unique within the database, similar to display name…

Sometimes when we enter the forum and we have something like 15 notifications or more, if we open one of them, the others will all be dismissed. We will have then to guess the other notifications that we have not opened it. I suggest that the notifications should only be dismissed after we open them one by one. I also suggest a button to dismiss all the notifications if we do not want to open them.
