Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted March 8, 20168 yr I would like to see actual products being separate from the categories. Currently if you have a product that you want under multiple categories you can't add it easlily without adding it per category.

Often there's one obvious one which dominates (I'd put a dictionary under Dictionaries even though I feel it belongs under Reference and Learning Materials too) but in other situations the decision has to be almost arbitrary.
March 14, 20168 yr I'd like to see you be able to select any categories you want for a product. Would also like to see an on/off for appearing in the hierarchy, so... Cars - American - Ford, a Ford car would appear in all 3. As you click categories you are narrowing the field. I think Downloads works like this?

IP.Downloads does not work like this. An item can only appear in one category, it cannot be "cross-reference" to other categories. Also, IPS has never offered "equivalence" of features across their apps.
March 21, 20168 yr Correct, appears downloads does not work like that either, the tree structure of categories with numbers fooled me.
