When you browse the forums as a guest, there isn't a link to encourage you to join the debate and register. Communities can only thrive if new users keep joining. Currently there is nothing helping them do that. Reading a topic is like reading a blog. Commenting should be made easier.

Hello, we face hundreds of accounts every week which register at our forums semi manually and then spam the forums automatically. I saw this spammer problem at forums with similiar content as well and thus I think I am not the only one facing this horrible problem. We flag every user as spammer once we see them, but unfortunately the will just keep registering new accounts and they use every IP for 5-10 accounts every day. These options are what you offer so far: What about this option: [ ] IP Ban member - Bantime (Forever, 1 Hour, 6 Hours, 1 Day, 1 Week, 1 Month)

Just like My Content in 3.4, I want My Activity in the dropdown... 1. This link on profile page: I also want here: 2. For continuity, change Profile to My Profile... then all 3 lines have My. My Profile My Activity My Attachments (I don't even really need this here, I don't allow deletion of them so no point.) 3. If we don't allow attachment deletion perhaps hide My Attachments in the dropdown but put somewhere else? Takes up space. Thanks!

There are two types of members on my forum: 1. those that come and stay daily, posting hundreds of replies (in different forums) 2. those that come for a very short time searching for an ad (buy and sell section) These people that are staying daily on the forum, are annoyed by the "view new content" functionality by not having an option to personalize their view new content preferences. They want to see new content only from specific forums. (some want only from the "buy and sell section" and some want that completely excluded) As an admin have no interest in limiting the view new content to show only topics from specific forums, so this should come to members. Hi, I'm just wondering... do you realize that the IPS Marketplace is completely useless at its current state? 90% of the items, all the "highest rated", "most downloaded", search results.... everything just shows prehistoric plugins that are compatible with IPB 3.x only, and completely irrelevant for anything from the recent years.... Just wanted to point that out in case you missed it. I consider IPS 4.x to be a standalone app that is coming "as is", with no plugins available... that is because I honestly couldn't find any useful plugin for IPS 4 at all. And that's a shame

First, I would lke to say that I really like the "Question and Answer Challenge" for SPAM prevention. I have never liked the idea of sending people's devices to third parties like Google for reCaptcha as that opens up tracking and data collection which eventually could help Google or others steal or sell off my leads (or any other third party). So, I would like to suggest that you add the option to use the "Question and Answer Challenge" on the Contact Us form (linked in footer) for guest or non-logged in users. I'd love to see the ability to create multiple rooms within the chat, and have a room listing. Of course continue to have a global limit including all rooms up to the max online users for the package that was purchased. The reason I want this, is because on my pro photography forum we have 3 major user groups... PrePro, Pro, and Pro-FA. Each with their own category of forums as well. It'd be great if we could create a separate chat room for each, that included a password or included the ability to set per-room group permissions. Thanks!

The editor being prefilled with the contents of the last post you wrote is the feature that is reported to me as a bug most often, and it is also the source of one of the most common actual bugs that is reported - not being able to delete contents from the editor (quotes, images etc) on mobile. It would make the user experience much better if, rather than automatically filling it into the editor, it just showed a banner (like the rich content paste banner), offering to recover the unsaved data. With this sort of Revision listing, i really worried about records with hundreds of revisions. Look at that. All of the diff boxes stored in one page? it's like Activity stream based on revision. it's not a good idea i think. and also where we can know about diff boxes? it's need a description for each of them. need a New Version | Old Version massages above the boxes. The Pages app is pretty wonderful and could be an extremely powerful CMS like solution as well as a solution for a lot of other things like classifieds, directories, and more. We all already know that. However the level of customization available to the block filters is a little lacking imo. We need a little finer control over what content its blocks are grabbing and displaying and to who. 1. I suggest implenting the "permissions" tab to all/most blocks, especially the WYSIWYG editor. Hi When you hit Cancel, you get "Are You Sure?" with the options "Cancel" or "OK" - so which is the one which will confirm the cancel and which is the one which will go back to editing the post? The options should be "Are you sure?" -> "Yes" or "No" (or vice versa if it makes more conventional UX sense to have the confirmation on the right)

With SVG becoming more widely supported in browsers, updating the emoticons to SVG (or offer SVG as an option/file format) would help future-proof IPS from ever-increasing screen resolutions on devices. Likewise for forum logos, or any other places in IPS where FontAwesome icons can't be used or doesn't make sense.

The questions/answers system is good, but why does it have to be separated into separate forums? Also, when asking a "Question", a lot of the time, the "Question" is in the title, no additional information is required yet you are forced to type something else into the text box which people sometimes just put the title anyway. If that makes sense?

What is the best feature to bring back users to our community? Notifications. If i receive a notification that someone quoted me, i will probably return to the site to see what they answer me. Since version 42(its now on 44), Google Chrome supports Push Notification. For example, someone quotes me or likes one of my posts, Chrome would give me a notification on Android or Desktop, even if Chrome is not open. Just like a normal App. Im asking here for Invision to add support for that incredible feature.

When on my mobile at the bottom of the topic where it says reply to this topic, it would be better if on the first click you could start typing, as you have to press again once the editor box is enlarged. Surely as the most used area of any forum it would be better for the editor to fully load on the first click.

It seems odd to me that nearly all the custom field types can be made "required" except checkbox, radio and yes/no. I was trying to add a required confirmation/acknowledgement checkbox to a package (dues submittal).
