Hey, I found this guide https://www.invisionpower.com/support/guides/_/maintenance-and-server-configurations/transferring-community-to-a-new-server-r20 for Transferring Community to a New Server. But it seems to be out of date. Is there a new guide? Or can anyone write down the steps I have to do? My situation is that I want to deploy local developed IPS board to a server but there are some problems with the file url's and caching files. All, Relatively new to using IP.Board, so bare with me :). (we are running IPS Community Suite 4) I manage a gaming community and registering to the forums is one of our requirements, however I want to be able to keep track of members who go inactive on the forums. Somehow I have edited a template which now stops record images from showing on two areas of my site. The first area is on the actual record view. The record image is not showing. The second is the category view. Working on site speed optimization, found these remarks in almost all reports to defer 7 JS files and 7 CSS files. Anyone can help adding asyc defer switch in below highlighted two lines.....? Hi I was on 4.03 upgraded to the latest version and on the right sidebar what was feature topics and latest topics just says Topics and has the latest topics twice.. Also I see no way to edit it, I used to press the arrow on the left and be able to drag across different sidebars but now that is no longer their. Can someone tell me how am I supposed to get rid of having two sidebars the same and where I can edit this stuff now? thanks,

So I was trying to set up and fix permissions for my staff groups and somehow I am unable to sign-out of the admin panel and it has me locked in as guest...I have no idea how to fix this either.

I have one forum section I called "Community" and I want to create a second one called "member's hub" whenever i do this it just makes member's hub a sub section of community. even when i select "no parent" it just disappears from the entire forums, but in the acp it's still displayed as under the community forum

I have converted my site from VB5 and it finalle seems to work, so I changes my tempoary url from ibp. to www. and it does seems to work, except for for some icons here and there, like for example the message icons at the top (se attachment). Any idea where I need to go to get those back ?

Hello, I'd like to ask how can i add a music to any topic? in version IPB3 it was easy, i think you need just to enable HTML to the forum you want through ACP then post this in any topic <iframe width="0" height="0" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/N727H7afVFc?autoplay=1" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> For example: http://gzchampions.com/topic/14938-8swc15-registration/ The music will start when you open the topic immediately. This is for all those who have complained about this - it's been bugging me as to why this is happening, as source formatting is a default function in a download of ckeditor. I've had a bit of time today to sit down and look at it closely and here's your solution. http://ckeditor.com/addon/htmlwriter Install the 4.4.8 version of the plugin, as the CKEditor version in use on IPS4 at present is the 4.4 code line. The above plugin is included in a default download of CKEditor but is not included in the plugins IPS use by defaults. Good luck

So I had to downgrade IPB4(to mybb) before upgrading to IPB 3.X and then merging another forum into my site and then upgrading back to 4.X We are running into an issue(that didn't exist prior to downgrading) where my staff is unable to post anything without having to approve it. I looked at their usergroup settings and apparently it is fine....no setting in their usergroup that I can see forces moderation. So what is it that is causing them to have approve every topics, post and status update they do

Hi There, I have no problem visiting the profiles of my members since upgrading to 4.0 but there is one member, when I click on his name to go to is profile, it returns me to and Error page that says: As far as I can tell it's only on this single profile. Hi, I just can't seem to get Pages to display my News Articles from a news category as front page/blog news articles. How on earth do you do it? All I get at the moment is a list of news articles despite the database being set to show as article style. A few months ago, tech suppport due to a bug with filtering categories, managed to get them to show for me as a list, I can click on them and they display ok. It's been months since Pages was launched and as powerful and cool as it is, there are still no article templates! The guides I've seen are always OTT versions of the simple 1x2x2 and blog templates.

Loving IPB 4! Thanks for all the hard work : ). I've got two critical questions about IP.Chat: The chat window does not scale and is too small on most of my users' monitors. How can I manually increase its height? AND/OR Allow users to scale it? Is there any way for me to add avatars to the chat app, similar to in IPB 3? Similarly: possible to add bbcode support? I am testing IPS 4 with a test license. When I edit the theme (or indeed create a new one) the section where Logos should be entered does not include any text boxes to type into. Site logo, sharer logo and Favicon are all the same.

I really hope someone from the team reads a this time the suppport tickets ;-). After over 24 hours converting my post I am at 26% and got now the failure: 1S111/1 Invalid argument supplied for foreach() Any idea here? It's an upgrade to the 4.x version. Systemqueue Runs background queue tasks. This one is now locked Also manually doesn't work.It's the backround process converting the post and now the process is locked.
