I want to have a block in Block Manager which queries a different database to the IPB database, but it doesn't seem to work (the code has been tested and works OK in a standalone PHP script). The script fails when the query is run, on this line ----------------- $result = mysqli_query($dbconnect,$sql) ----------------- Is anyone able to tell me how I can get it working, please?

I'm taking over a existing site using IPB 3.1.4. The old site is licensed but the license is not active and no updates have been done for a while. I've followed the guide for moving servers and got as far as moving files and the SQL database, I've also updated conf_global.php Great so far, no errors but I can't access the site on the new server, I get error 403. Any suggestions where to start please? Forgot to add, I have a new license ready to use and also update the software when I get that far.

I just upgraded to 4.x. And my articles have disappeared. When I click on the "Articles" tab in the nav menu, it goes here: www.turkeycentral.com/page/articles.html But there is nothing there. Before the upgrade, a link to an article was: http://www.turkeycentral.com/page/articles.html/_/transportation/hgs-tolls-turkey But when I go to that URL, there is also nothing there. I'm assuming the URL to the articles section and all articles have changed, can someone assist me to find out where they are now?

How to replace attached google pagespeed suggested files of css and js in root folder? Is it advisable....? Optimized version of files cost 1.2 MB on the page of 1.7 MB, so Im hoping that after replacing these files it might drop the pagesize to 1.5 MB. Any suggestions or idea on how to actually reduce this initial load time due to humongous JS and CSS of 1+ MB files......?

Hello, Since I was unable to receive any response from the Marketplace/PM discussion, can anyone please advise if you managed to have Member Map application running on 4.0? Since there is not upgrade available yet, I assume you couldn't. Is not there anyone who could 'take over; the application and upgrade it for us? I believe there are many admins who have upgraded and are desperately waiting for the application to be available for 4.0. Many thanks,

I haven t looked at our site for a while due to work and a friend is managing it He mentioned that cover photos are not uploading even when the settings are properly set The photos seems to upload and the menus change giving you the option to remove the image but no image shows Is this a known bug? Also I noticed some mysql logs inside uploads/logs are these normal?

I have a member telling me that there was a place on her profile (on 3.4) where other members could see the content she followed. Now in 4, it is not there. I don't even remember that feature, but is it in 4 or a way to turn it on? Thanks!

How would I go about creating a contact form in an IPC database, I currently use contact seller which is a member field but obviously guests can use that I thought of using an email field but then you are into spam and all that. Any ideas

Is there a way to get Group Images to show up when using the staff page? Is it possible to have images for two groups show at once? Example, One of my admins is also part of the GFXteam. Both groups have icons but only the Clan Admin image shows when he post in the forums.
