Hey Guys/Gals! I've set up a forum where the post come from a record creation. Ideally, I'd like to set it up so that a user can't post directly in this forum - but if they want to make a post in the forum they need to create a record that automatically creates the post. Is there a way to accomplish this with a conditional? I was thinking I could set up a conditional to change the "Post a New Thread" button url to the create a new record url. I'm not sure if this is the best way to do it, but it is kind of a work around. I'm not having any luck searching in these forums for the conditional that says {{if this forum}} some html {{else}} some html {{endif}} …

First of all I was away for some years, and have lost track of things going on with IPS. But yesterday I renewed my license, downloaded the latest version and just upgraded my community that was on 3.4.1 version. So, I face a little problem that I think is some minor bug, but I don't know where to look for to fix it myself as I'm a total newbie on this 4.x version of the software. Hey there Does anybody know if google adsense will tolerate Ads on /terms (IP Board official terms) page? I just can't deactivate the Automatic Ads for that page. I need to know if I will get penalized by Google for having Ads on that page or not. Anybody? Best, Marcel

Hi, I am thinking of changing several furls just like forums to foros or files to descargas. I was wondering if IPS has any kind to preserve the link with the original FURLs and use a 301 redirect to the new ones. My question is, if I change this FURLs, will I break my forum old links? Hi guys, I tried IPB support like the warning message said but they didn't help at all and said I had to contact the creator (even though the message says to contact support lol) The Support link in the plugin goes to another 3rd party website which is pretty annoying. Hello ! ? Some of my board's members tell me that they can't validate an email change or that they can't validate their account creation because the link/button which is in the email doesn't work. When you hover the mouse cursor over the link, you notice there is no link at all but only text. Here is a screenshot of a validation email which was sent to me by a member : This happens several time a week, but the problem is that most members' account creations and email changes do work, which means that most members don't have any problem. I am trying to upgrade PHP, I've correctly provisioned all modules (I believe) in my WHM cPanel, and I've closely compared the php.ini files in both versions so that their settings are the same, but when I switch the site with my large forum to PHP 7.1 I get memory errors: [18-Aug-2018 23:15:41 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1867776 bytes) in /home/mysite/public_html/init.php(460) : eval()'d code on line 129 I copied over the same setting I had in 7.0 for: memory_limit = 1000M Any ideas?

Hi there, I have two questions about attachments. First of all, from Media in Pages. Is there any plugin or sth to make it easier the management of files? For example, there's only info about how to get the media from template logic (like {media=2}). How could I get the direct link to it?
