I had a site that was reasonably busy. 

If I limited use of that site back to only a few authors producing content, will the price drop back down to the lowest tier?

If so, how long does that take to happen.

It's based upon how many online visitors you have, so unless your content becomes less popular, then you'll probably still have the same number of visitors.  

You can always contact IPS Support to ask to bump you down to a lower plan.

So how is that calculated?  

I thought it was weighted towards people logged in. 

So you could be tier 3 say and have lots of traffic but only one person logging in?

I mean that makes sense, traffic still hits the db and requires resources ect.

 

Currently this is a rolling average over a 48 hour window, we currently exclude Google and other known search bots in this average.  If you have any specific questions on your cloud package, as mentioned please do submit a support ticket and we can review your site specifically for you.
