Posted August 26, 20186 yr Image tools: Is there a way to disable "Save as" and all the sub-things for other peoples pictures. It's fine that people can do it with their own pictures. But I dont want people to be able to use other peoples pictures. Regards Johnni
August 26, 20186 yr There is not really a practical way of doing this, its been a question for many years. Although you could add some js to perhaps disable right click, there is nothing to stop anyone from say viewing the page source and getting the image link or if its dynamic and / or they cannot do it that way there is nothing at all to stop them just grabbing a screenshot of the browser window complete with image etc.
August 27, 20186 yr There is no setting to disable the link in question because, as explained, it is a false sense of "security". Any user can download any image on any web page on the internet at any time. There's no way to stop it. If you wish to remove the link itself, you would need to edit the theme template to remove it. It wouldn't be hard to do, but it also wouldn't stop people from being able to save the image.
