Hi all First time posting for help, so please apologies if this is in the wrong area I am admin on www.otib.co.uk and in the past couple of weeks we are getting emails from members saying when they login they are showing as being banned from accessing the site None of the members that have raised this are banned or even had any warning points in the past The odd thing they try again 5-10 minutes later and they can access without problems Any advice please?

Hi Its that time of year that i have to go through the pains of Facebook reviews, sorted the testing of the app. This new one i am not sure i can complete as my forum is not a business and don't have a verified business to link to Data Use Checkup This annual checkup now requires that you connect apps to a verified business and answer data handling questions. What do i need to do to stop my app from being suspended ? to be honest i am getting fedup with jumping through hoops with Facebook and may well disable it. If its easy to sort out i will continue but if not is there a way to convert my facebook users to normal logins …

HI, last time the email I was using the free account gmail smtp so it has a limit, now I change to the Sentgrid business acc but I not sure why the email still mention using gmail and the gmail error. I've switch to sentgrid and change the setting also

Hello, My current webhost hasn't upgraded php version and I am stuck with php 7.4. As a result, unfortunately, I haven't been able to upgrade my Invision board for an year now. I have decide to buy hosting from a new host and move. Can someone guide me how transfer my files and database to new webhost? I still will have domain name with the current web host for one more year. Thank you in advance.

This is something very annoying. If I upload a new version, screenshots do not respect the order I set in the form. All customization is disabled; no 3rd-party app/plugin is running, as you can see in the video.

Hi, We have had to disallow Hotmail addresses for the timebeing as it seems they keep blocking entire subnets for our hosting provider. (Digital Ocean) I want to change the messaging end users see in relation to this when they try to join as to be more helpful but it appears there's no language translation options for "Please specify an alternative email address" - Any ideas? Ideally I don't want to modify the theme templates as it could easily be forgotten about during future upgrades etc. Thank you

Trying to send a test email of a heavily formatted HTML email. I do not get an error message but I can not see that anything was sent. Looks like the system just ignored it. When I re-tested with a very simple email everything worked. Is there a formatting limitation that must be followed?

After upgrade we've noticed the new btoa() function and error "failed to execute btoa()" in global_global_core.js As a result, pagination for cyrillic urls stopped working. There is an "easy way" to acknowledge who is the anonymous original poster. How to replicate: Go to the post, view who is following (1) and see who has followed the post (2) the same time it is posted (3): This is a massive flaw in our members privacy compliance. We already put an internal patch: inactivated the modal button when the OP is anonymous. Can you please check on this ? Thanks

I've been using Sendgrid for the last few years but its really overkill for my needs so tonight I switched email settings to Invision Community in the Cloud Uses Invision Community servers to send emails. The test email came from noreply@invisioncloudcommunity.com so I sent a bulkmail to my members but for some reason it's been sent via sendgrid and not invisioncloudcommunity.com What did I do wrong ?

Hi All, I'm sure this is an easy fix and I just need to rebuild images, but some of the thumbs on my site are blurry; https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/472901-my-e90-bmw-330i/page/5/#comment-7899665 If you click through to the main image it is nice and crisp. Made the last update to 4.7.16 a few days ago and all seems to work fine, but users complain about firefox and the activity streams. Using "All Acitivity" you click on a thread, read it in the same tab and go back to "All Activity" - with firefox all looks the same, the thread is still bold, but with safari it's narrow. Using "Unread Content" the same way - with firefox all looks the same, but with safari it's gone. Funny about that is using firefox here at ivisioncommunity.com it works as it should. Same as safari does. We have MySQL still at 5.7 and PHP still at 8.0, but i don't think that makes any difference. A Redis Cache could maybe, but i don't kno…

We recently had Invision migrate an old version of our forum into Invision's software. We went through the test procedure and when photos weren't showing up, we were told that it was due to the fact that the database was not finished "indexing". Now that indexing is complete there are still several photos not showing up. Now we cannot communicate with their support via email, so I posting this here, hoping to reach some support representative with Invision and get them involved again to fix this issue. Hello, I'm trying to translate the friendly URLs of the community into my website's language, but I'm running into a problem with some applications that I can't translate. For example: The real URL: app=calendar&module=calendar&controller=view&view=overview&do=featured Is by default configured with the friendly URL: https://mydomain.com/events/featured And I'm trying to translate it to https://mydomain.com/encuentros/destacado But when I save the configuration, it gets stored as https://mydomain.com/events/encuentros/destacado, meaning, it shows the translated name of the application as another subdirectory of the application itself, but it…

Since update and patch I am finding that some processes are just hanging on the dashboard. I have tried to manually run them and turned on Cron Job for tasks and still not clearing. Members are complaining that on some topics (usually old or large topics) last replies are not showing in the topic on the index page or that the post is still showing unread when they have checked. Any suggestions.

I heard from members that the password reset link in their email redirects them to the home page with no opportunity to update their password. I've tested and can confirm this behaviour. There are no entries in the error logs. Thanks.

Hello. I am setting up a product for sale in the site shop, with a monthly subscription, as it is an online course. But I can't find a way to limit the number of renewals. My course has a duration of five months, and I would like to charge for the subscription to the course for only five months, but the only option I can find is for the user to cancel the subscription at the end of the course, which seems to me to be an abuse of the customer. Could you tell me how to limit product renewals and subscriptions? Thanks and best regards

I hadn't upgraded my forum for a while, and several days ago I updated to the latest version. Since then, there has been a problem with switching pages in forums. When someone clicks on a page number, e.g., 'Page 3,' nothing happens. The URL updates correctly, but the page remains the same. The only way to switch to a new page is to right-click on the page number and then select 'Open in New Tab.' I tried clearing system caches and disabling third-party customizations.
