Hello, I'm currently fighting with the upgrade process to version 4.7.9. I followed correctly all the steps and arrives at the step 7 : upgrade. I had a ticket to remove the Classifieds addon as after I upgraded to the 4.7.8 version of IPS IPS prevented me from uninstalling the addon. @Daniel Fatkic removed the Classifieds addon from my site to which he sent me an email saying so. We recently underwent pen testing and our forums got flagged because EXIF geolocation data is not getting stripped from uploaded images. Is there a way to mitigate this? Steps to Reproduce: Visit any topic and click the reply. Upload an image with EXIF Geolocation data, such as the attached sample image, in the reply box Now download the image. Use windows properties tool or any EXIF viewer such as exifdata.com, and check the metadata. Whatever was there when uploaded should be there when downloaded. All topics are read yet the icon says there are unread topics. I have noticed this previously but didn't give it much thought until it began happening again of late. It is the only sub that does this on this site so I don't believe it to be a browser issue. Just musing here but, could be hidden threads causing the issue?

Hello, 🙂 Some of my board’s members sometimes can’t access a forum on my board. It’s the favourite forum on my board and one must have posted 5 messages to access it. What can be the reasons why some members have random access to this forum when they should be able to access it all the time ? Is there an option like « Number of members who can access this forum ? » Members say that can’t access the board and they get an error message saying : 2F176/1 error. Another one told me he got an http 500 error. But they can access topics where they have ben quoted. Can you help me fixing this ? Thank you, 🙂

Updated to iOS 16.4. Enabled push notifications in Invision Community web app. Received a notification about a new topic in a forum I follow. Tapped on the iOS notification on the lock screen on my iPhone. This opened the PWA but didn’t redirect to the new topic like tapping on the notification in the notifications list. The last page I had viewed before was still being shown. Is this a bug?

Strange issue… self-hosted v4.7.9. Small forum and had (have) a strange issue. When mods or users edit the first post in a topic, when they save it, that first post gets moved to the bottom of the thread, almost as if it were a new post in the thread. I updated from 4.7 to 4.7.9 yesterday and in testing, it hasn’t happened again so maybe the upgrade fixed something. Has anyone else experienced something similar? Secondly, assuming my issue is resolved (I hope), how could I “fix” the existing ones? How could I correct these topics and restore the original first post to its proper place as the actual first post? Thanks for reading.

I updated the server to php8.1 and then updated the software to 4.78. We are currently running IC 4.7.0 and PHP 7.4. We've been trying to update to PHP 8.0 and the latest IC version for a while, but we always run into the same problem. As soon as we enable PHP 8.0 with our hosting provider, the forum and more crucially the Admin CP are no longer visible, so we can't update the forum software. How do we solve this "chicken & egg" conundrum?

We have a locked task (updaterecords) apparently due to an issue with the Pages application. We stopped using Pages quite some time ago, it shows as version 4.1.15 under the list of installed applications. Unfortunately, it shows as locked and will not let me uninstall it: Selecting Uninstall from the dropdown menu causes the admin panel to render a blank screen. Perhaps it's safe to leave the old version partially installed (I don't see a directory for pages under /applications) and this task locked, but I'd rather clear up the error if possible. Has anyone else encountered this and know of a remedy?

In Pages, if one adds a WYSIWYG block with a picture, right or left alignment is used, and the picture is taller than the text, the picture breaks out of its block into the block below. Using picture alignment also breaks the formatting of other blocks blow it if the picture is too large. In the picture below, "My Articles" and the first article should be aligned directly under my picture. Reducing the size of the picture to the same height as the text fixes things.

We are only using the old rank system, one point pr post. Seems as if posts in a forum that is set not to increase posts is still counted when assigning rank? More details in our Access Information notes.

I thought I had my community set up not to allow any image uploads and thought I had turned off the ability for members of all groups to change their profile cover photos. Until a member uploaded a photo of themselves as their new cover photo! I cannot tell what may be allowing this since I have double checked the settings for all groups (the screenshot attached shows settings for moderators, but I have put the same settings for all groups including "members"). Where else should I look in settings to disallow this ability?

I recently closed a member's account who had sadly passed a number of years ago retaining the users content. He was a prolific poster with lots of information. I realise this was actually not the best plan as now no one can search for the content using his name as the name is now Guest preceding the old user name. I take this action is now irreversible. I have installed a plugin which allows me to manually change the user posts and have created an account to attribute to him, but there are thousands of posts and this would be a never ending process. Any solutions I am missing would be appreciated.

Hello, @Your Synergy has a problem with one of my apps. The app does not seem to have installed itself correctly. The problem is that there is no way to uninstall it (error 500). Since I don't have access to the DB / Files even if I wanted to, I really wouldn't know how to help him. Something must have gone wrong with the update process that the customer did in January. Can I add an ips boy in the private message I have with synergy?
