Does anyone have any experience regarding adding PHP to a theme? I was trying to add the code to my theme in either the globalTemplate or navbar section. I was getting an error when doing so, I tried using the double curly brackets; but this caused the same error. If anyone could help with this matter, it would be a life saver! <?php if (isset($_SERVER['HTTP_CF_CONNECTING_IP'])) $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'] = $_SERVER['HTTP_CF_CONNECTING_IP'];?>

Hi All. Hopefully this is a simple fix or a missed setting that I'm not seeing. When a member buys a file, and they go back to the file page and it shows 2 buttons "Download This file" and a "Buy Now" button (screenshot below). But since they bought it once, I don't want them to buy it again. Is there a setting that I'm missing that hides the "Buy Now" button once the file has been purchased? It has caused a lot of confusion with my members, several of which have bought the file several times. I've reset my theme just in case there was something altered, but the problem remains. I'm on v4.4.9.1. Thanks for the help.

Greetings, I'm working on setting up paid downloads on my site. After setting up the payment options and permissions, I uploaded a new file, set the price to $15, and purchased it using a credit card. After doing so, I see the "Download this file" button, but I also see the, "Buy Now - $15.00" button, even though I've already purchased the file. Why is this button still visible? Thanks in advance for any insight. ..Al

Hey, Basically have a staff application section in our Forums but unsure how we allow it so everyone can see the pinned template? Currently no one can see this section and there doesn't seem to be an option in IPB to allow for this pinned topic to be shown in that section? I know it's possible to do as I did have it working a few years back but unsure how to do it now?

Since the addition of the "Page Builder" widgets in 4.5 I've been using the text one as sort of a headline replacement for widgets with lackluster headlines. But I've noticed that some of the widgets are visible to only some members, the text widget is visible to everyone (or at least there is no way to determine who can see it). That way, now for example - we have a subscriptions widget that only non-subs can see, and a "Get A Subscription" headline that everyone can see and for subscribers looks really out of place. So that got me thinking - why not add a universal "who can see this" selector on all widgets? That way we can tie in the headlines with the actual wid…

Hi mates, when "Post Before Registering" is enabled, is it possble to see Users who registered that way? We enabled the feature quite a while ago, but I can't see how many registered through it. I checked the user activity log on specific users and the statistics in general... Thanks, Thomas

I just realized that validating members are able to post before being approved by the admin (which the board is set for admin approval). I don't want this happening, how to stop this using 4.5.4.2? Thanks

Hi, Today I found out that image files are not physically deleted after deleting a post with an attachment. I also permanently deleted the post in mod cp. Why is this happening? I actually assumed that the attachment files would also be removed after a deletion. Otherwise the hard disk space will overflow. rgds,

We have someone who wants to have a live video stream/chat with our community and we're trying to find how to best get this done. The plan is to open a thread in advance where members can ask questions, and at a pre-schedueled time, said someone will "reply" in the thread with a live video stream/chat/conference where they will address and answer the questions that were asked. At the same time, members can of course keep posting in the thread and said someone will read them and reply via the video. Having members be able to join the video is an added benefit but not necessary. The particular platform used for this isn't as important, it can be Zoom, Facebook Live, …

I've converted several databases before from WordPress but once I initiated the conversion for the current one I am working on, it seemed to have finished but ended up with the following: When I look at the converter again, there is an X underneath the "Finished" column which means it didn't work. Anyone ever seen this or have any ideas why it is not finishing?

I have a sub based store that I set up as a product with renewals. Issue is that whatever the purchase price is that’s going to be the price that people will pay for different subscriptions (renewals) while they have an active one. How can this be fixed? I’ve seen a lot of people using the store the same way I have so I’m confident there’s a way around it.

On my test site I have added the developer tools (deleted all but forums, core, nexus, calendar as I do not have them from the files) Added the constants.php file as described here and no changes appear to happen for make a plug in After some searching I found this page which says the constants.php needs to have <?php added to it, but when I do that it breaks the site. What am I missing here?

Does IPS provide any feedback to a developer upon submission of an original app or update that based on their future update plans (at that moment in time) the app will end up needing extensive rework or warrant discontinuation as portions of their app's functionality will become core? How about an app that is in between updates, does IPS let developers know that future updates will likely impact their apps? I'm more concerned with apps that have sold well and have become integral to sites that have bought them.

How can I manage what groups can see different aspects of member profiles? For instance, for RSVP events, Guests should not be able to view a member's RSVP events. Or posts. And same for all activity in a member's profile. How does an admin hide the purchases, or Pages Databases from a Member's profile? Or from all profiles? Ideally: I do not want guests to be able to view other members profiles and data unless the member (or an admin) has chosen to have them fully public. How do I (as an admin) selectively allow the different Member Profile sections to be viewable or not? By Group, by section?

Via my Google Search Console, I am showing that a number of pages are loading unnecessarily slow in a mobile environment. The most time consuming aspect of these is the webfont load (showing as, "…font/fontawesome-webfont.woff2?v=4.7.0"). The recommended solution is to declare preload links. <head> ... <link rel="preload" href="styles.css" as="style"> <link rel="preload" href="ui.js" as="script"> ... </head> Can this be added somewhere in the global template(s)? TYIA
