Hi,

Today I found out that image files are not physically deleted after deleting a post with an attachment. I also permanently deleted the post in mod cp.

Why is this happening? I actually assumed that the attachment files would also be removed after a deletion. Otherwise the hard disk space will overflow.

Orphaned attachments are deleted regularly on a task that runs once per day, if I’m Not mistaken. 

If you want to test it, go to Tasks and find one related to attachments or clean and run the task.

EDIT: The task is cleanupattachments and runs at every 12 hours.
