I really dislike this working without bbcodes and having to use the editor. Now have a look at this post: Now something went wrong with one or more quote signs I made in there. Yes I just type the quote and /quote bbcodes, works faster for me. But when posting, it dus not say for example [/qoute] if I made a typo, it just quotes the complete post including my responses. So then I want to go back and fix the code. But it looks as this can't be done anymore. On my own forums I'm admin and using the source code editor to fix this. How can I do this on a forum like this as a user? Fix wrong quote codes so the post looks correct again?

Hey, Is there a way to deselect 'see forum' in forum permissons but still allow write access? You can do this and still allow replies but not new topics. Im pretty sure I seen a mod for this...

Hello, Just wondering if any of you have experienced this error when upgrading the suite from 4.2 to 4.4 [[Template core/admin/system/upgradeDeltaThemeConflicts is throwing an error. This theme may be out of date. Run the support tool in the AdminCP to restore the default theme.]] Ive disabled all the plugins, application and deleted the themes beside the default generated? How do I get passed this issue? Thanks in advance!

In my old forum software that I used I had the ability for users to click a Donate button which took them to my own Shopping Cart system (CS-Cart) that was already linked to my Bank with credit card payments or direct bank transfer. When a payment was made the shopping cart system would email me. If they donated more than $50 I would then manually add them to a "First Class Member" usergroup that has extra privileges for 1 year. One week prior to the 1 year was up, the user would receive an email from my forum site saying that their First Class Membership was going to expire and they could renew it, by clicking a link to my Shopping Cart system and the process would start…

I would like to have members fill in some profile fields (for example, one could be their website address) and then I'd like to include a list of all the info from those custom fields on a single page on my community site where I'd have a heading of "Member Websites" (and then the website address links -- with member names/links to profiles, too). I want to do it automatically so that if a member is no longer a member, their information is no longer displayed. How would I go about doing something like this? (I come from the WordPress world, and I know how to tackle things there, but I'm just not clear on how to do things here yet.) Thanks.

Hi Attachments Issues specifically PDFs Our forum recently converted to Invision and we do have a very large community. I have searched high and low in the community for a way to display our PDFs (front cover) as we have a few hundred spread throughout our forum and can't find a solution nor a specific plugin. I've been experimenting with pages and databases and have a few questions. I've searched the forums and the help sections, but I couldn't really figure out what I need to do. I'm setting up a web site that will have different sections that use databases. Here's an example of what I've done so far. Is there a way to remove or hide the category title? On my friends forum they would like to use images instead of titles. This works now when the images are centered. Unfortunately he wants them left-sided but the category title is there. We could maybe choose to cover the title with the image. But we're just curious if there's also a way to hide the title. FYI I don't know any css and if anything need changing we don't want to change core files, only custom.css if really needed.

We've been running version 4.1.x for some time now without any issues, but finally decided to bite the bullet and install the latest version because we wanted to improve our spam protection. So I used the auto update feature within the ACP, and this did a little work then prompted me to download the update and manually install it. Okay, fair enough. On arrival to my account here I see that the latest version requires a PHP/MySQL version that our server doesn't have, so I sent a service request to my host asking them to update. At this point I figured the update was on hold and thought nothing of it. But on trying to load the site it's now returning a 500 error. …

Just starting to explore the in-built referral system and wondering how we can set the discounts for new members referred by the referral system? Is there any plugin or way I can allow people to assign themselves secondary roles? I'd like to be able to just have a link that people can click, which would assign them x y or z secondary role depending on what role ID or what have you that I put, but I only want certain roles to be assignable like this for security purposes. For the IPS Download addon, one can upload files and "upload" external url's (link to them in fact). Is there a way to restrict uploads to url's only? So they can't upload files to the file system but only upload url's?

So i want to make a blog, and let the "Pros" of the niche that that my site is about, post their news, projects, specials etc. I am pretty sure how to set the blog up, but i am in doubt of how to manage the users who have access to post to it. I have looked into letting a group manage a blog, but i only want them to be able to post in it, not manage it. How should i do this? Also, is there a cool way for users to apply to get access to post to the blog, or is the only way, to have them contact an admin or moderator, to get access?
