I am noticing some lag when trying to upload attachments that I don't see on 4.3 I select my attachments then there is a delay before they start uploading. anyone else noticing this?

We had a user write virtually an essay in the subject line of a Support Request, which really messed up the display of the ticket in the Support area. I checked all the settings and cannot see a way to limit the number of characters for Support Request titles. I'll ask IPS support, but posting it here as feedback too.

I would love the ability to exclude club content/posts from Topics Feeds and All Activity Feeds. We have clubs set up for local areas, and when people in those clubs post something like, "Anyone want to meet at a park this weekend?" that gets show to all of our forum users, not just people in their club. Please consider adding this feature in an upcoming update! :)

If you've blocked a creepy member (who follows you but has never posted, that's creepy) by using the Ignored Members facility, the member stills shows as following you in your profile. Hopefully they definitely don't receive follow notifications as well. Creepy

I would like to see a revamped active topics that emphasizes photos and videos similar to a facebook group feed or reddit. I think one advantage Facebook Groups have over forums is the ease of uploading photos and videos directly from your phone/mobile device. Nearly every other post has some sort of media posted with the comment or question. Why not display that when someone looks at the recent activity on the forum?

I do not know how to persuade IPB developers to put File Storage in order, maybe it will turn out if we ask together? Problem: Current system is not complete, is not logical and causes bewilderment at its use. We have base folder for files (any types), /uploads, but we have no clear structure of data storage. Some "system" folder like emoticons and profile hardcoded, u can't change or move it to folder with another name. Some systems store the data in different folders - blog, for exmpl. Blog post attachments save in Post monthly folders (if set), but other blog items (header photo) in blog subfolder (if set). Some subsystem don't have owm storage, like PM. …

Please consider adding a soft merge or a similar option for topics. I agree that deleting is the most destructive operation, so it should have many safety nets to avoid content getting accidentally deleted. And we do have them! We have hiding, which is almost like deleting, we have soft delete with timeout, which also prevents clueless moderators from doing something they aren't supposed to do. Congrats on IPS for covering this base. However, merge is no less destructive to the forums content, but it doesn't have a single safety net. I was recently in AdminCP editing the terms and privacy policy. Whilst I was busy typing away my login period must have expired. When I hit the save button I was sent to the login page and all my work was lost. The third time this occurred I nearly mashed my keyboard through my desk. Maybe I am slow at thinking/typing and I need to work on improving that. Anyway... the point is it would be nice if there was a prompt to warn me that I am about to timeout. Other sites do a similar thing and give you the option to extend and continue working. An implementation like this may save a keyboards life... Ted.

I just had an interaction on my site with a newbie.... I want to "message" her privately and fast... I found the private message board old, slow and clunky. I thought about getting CometChat....... Then my next thought was .... what would FACEBOOK do? Modern sites make private messaging as fast as CHAT..... Why can't we do that? We should make everything as fast as possible nowadays. Shaving seconds off of every interaction is necessary in today's world. Let's speed up out entire enterprise to "real-time"

Hello, can you please add an option to view photo EXIF data on photos posted in the forum. The EXIF data show on gallery app images only and not forum images. This feature is handy for a photography forum. Can you please add support email message notification for the admin to see on the header. Please add in next release if possible. Thanks

It would be nice if the "show prices" widget appeared (or had the option of appearing) on the product view page in the store. Because a lot of the time people land on the product view directly and don't go through the categories; therefore, do not get a chance to select their currency.

Is it possible that when a user selects a specific currency (to display prices in) that when they view their account credit page, it only shows the currency they have selected? We've had to add 5 additional currencies on top of USD to our community due to our worldwide growth and it's getting a bit cluttered. It's not really attractive even when I lower the font-size: Same goes for their ACP customer profile. Instead of showing all currencies available, can it only show the default currency (USD for example) and then concurrent currencies that have positive balances? (Instead of cluttering the top of the profile with zero amount balances.) …

I have a Club on whose splash page I'd like to include a post feed from that Club's forums. However, that doesn't currently seem possible. Club forums and blogs should be included as options in feeds (permissions permitting). Right now the only way to include Clubs forums in feeds is to keep the All checkbox checked, which obviously isn't a solution. I'm not sure if this was/is a bug or if this was somehow intended.

Add option to allow chunked file uploads with the HTML5 file api. This would allow users to bypass file sizes set and limited by php.ini. Very useful on shared hosting.

Well, with all this talk of adding membership to our site/organization, today was the first day I looked at Subscriptions. I had assumed it was just a product option and appeared in the store. There seems to be sooooo much missing from this. The ability to upsell a product when buying a subscription, shipping, upgrades ect...... I realize none of this is trivial. I just motored along, while seeing Hosting as a product (which I assume renews) Subscriptions would just be another variant. Since we have people all over the world, I can't simply incorporate shipping into the subscription price.

How difficult would it be to have a subscription amount that was arbitrary? So people could set their own amount and change it at any time say in their profile. Rather than set up a bunch of subscriptions, people could just enter whatever they want. I know there are people who would put in a lot more than others, but I don't want it set up soley for those people as it doesn't have a good 'look' so to speak.

Just wonder! Because in the last 3 years the updates have been regular, not more than 2 months between the updates. Pay for 6 months is cheap if you have only the forum app but if you have all the apps the upgrade for 6 months is not cheap. If less updates, i asume it not worth to upgrade every 6 month. Now we been waiting for almost 4 months. The only thing we get is blog news.

IPS Developers if you're listening - please entertain this idea for 4.4. - Being able to search for clubs via the search system. (not content within clubs but clubs themselves)The reason I ask is I want to build a site around hobbies and use the clubs system as the core focus of the site. Well I anticipate there being quite a number of clubs and manually searching through lists/pages of clubs for a specific club may become tedious. Would there be a way in which you could include clubs in the search results and approach this in a similar way to how reddit deals with finding subreddits within their search. I guess I shouldn't say "Silently" I really don't know if it was announced or not. I certainly didn't know. HOWEVER, I have had FTP storage options in my back pocket as something I know I may need. Now I am finally looking at this as my golden solution only to find it's not there. WHAT??? I feel upset about this. Come on IPS!!! Look at the before and after screen shots. Where is the FTP option?

Hi, I think it would be beneficial to show Upgrade options on the storefront, instead of expecting customers to locate upgrade options within the "Manage Purchases" module. e.g. Imagine all the packages in this group are somehow related, and are upgrade-able. This customer owns 1x of Package A and 2x of Package B already. This way its easier to see that a package can be upgraded. Currently it is hidden away in the Manage Purchases section, so we are using Discounts instead. The issue with offering discounts for purchases that should be upgrades, is that when you base a discount off a previous purchase, it applies to all future purchases. …
