Some members want to put in their country, maybe their state and maybe their city without putting in their full address. There should be an option for those of us who want to ask just country, or just country and state, etc. to do so. This all or nothing approach to the Location fields is problematic. Thoughts?

I am losing membership because groups are going to www.clubexpress.com where they support web-based and integrated email discussions. They've been able to successfully convert Yahoo! and Google mailing lists to their forum. Question: What is required to allow recipients of forum notifications in email to reply and then have their email show up as a real forum post? I know this is dinosaur stuff, but it's what people are used to...

I believe Google penalizes broken links, and there's no way to avoid this if your community has been around for a while and gone through changes. A tool to evaluate posts and remove broken links within the community URL would be helpful.

Hello! User can delete attachment in post (while editing) and there will not be link at all, rather than broken one. When I allow user to delete in front end - there will be broken links in all posts with that attachment. Why not to have ability to delete in front end so the links also deleted from posts?

Hello, It would be good if the Status Updates notifications were differentiated into their own groups. For instance - Someone I am following posts a status update. - Someone comments on one of my status updates - A reply is made to a status update I have commented on.

It is hard to find the Developers area here. On desktop view, it is buried in the MORE menu, I have yet to find a link to this area on mobile views (tablet or phone). Could you add a prominent link to https://invisioncommunity.com/developers in the Development Assistance forum description at the top of the forum index (and also to IPS Development Gateway and Theme Assistance forum descriptions)?

I'm seeing an increasing number of registrations on my forum with people trying to use disposable email addresses. Would be good to stop them a step back before they can even register by not allowing certain email domains to be used.

Hi, I've been meaning to broach this one for a long time, but never get around to it until now. The Search function defaults are a pain to the unwary, returning site-wide results no matter where you are in the community. I would like to see it behaving a bit more intelligently by default, so that if you are in a sub-forum it will automatically select "This Forum" tickbox, if you're in a thread it will choose "This Thread", when you're in a category it will... you get the idea, and in general it will always choose "All search terms", as it's the most often used method to narrow down your results. Being bombarded with a huge scattergun of results from the whole comm…

It would be nice if the IPS could have link previews. This is my IPS forum: This is that same post on a competitors forum

Why not allow messages to be loaded with infinity scroll avoided the next page? Today I read a topic in a forum with 18 pages, each page had 25 messages, and I thought that if there was an infinity scroll the reading would have been much more pleasant and fluid, even by clicking on the quote. Something already adopted by Discourse and Flarum.

In the template core -> global -> plugins -> forumsRow is hard coded 's : <a href="{$forum->url()}">{$club->name}'s {$forum->_title}</a> This does not make sense for non-English boards.

In the Recently Updated section in the sidebar there is room for at least another half dozen updates - can this be added as just one developer updated say 10 themes will dominated the list. Hope this can be updated. With thanks Dave

Having been told this is now working as intended in 4.4.4 I just wanted to give some feedback on the new notification system. It's bizarre, bonkers and a backwards step just like when the popup search menu was refreshed and removed search within this topic on mobile. If I receive any notification for a reaction, quote, mention even automatic moderation I must now fully read the topic before it marks as read, and if I receive further notifications for other posts in the same topic, previously read notifications will revert to showing as unread. For example. I have a 10 page topic. I have only read 6 pages but receive a reaction for a post on page 3. …

In order to minimize the amount of requests on page load, please include an option to combine all interface and/or editor script call into one or two scripts. Our site currently requires up to 42 different script calls to function the way we want, but this leads to degraded performance for multiple users. When we use https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/ and the Chrome Audit tool we see recommendations that say there are a large number of requests and DOM nodes. On a Macbook Pro 2016/16gb it takes about 9 seconds to fully render a topic page.

Hello, I've been a customer from IPBoard from long time ago and well, I'm kind of worried as I'm trying to make things work properly in my community and I'll like to know what are the plans for the future of IPBoard. The use of Social Networks are more frequent but I'm still have the vision to get my community grow using tools like IPBoard, however I still think that there are opportunities to make it work. I love the product (IPBoard) and what it help us do, but we need to get creative and make some money. I know all the pages in my forums generate traffic but I can't make ANY income for that traffic... the main reason I believe why this happening its because t…

The blog entries widget on the forum page would look a lot more enticing if it included the featured image for that blog instead of just being a block of text. A lot of our users don't even read the blogs because it doesn't catch their eye and they never navigate to the blogs page. Some people I have talked to didn't even know we had blogs.

Would it be possible to get a list of the auto scheduled times in the promote popup instead of just the next auto schedule? If I have multiple times setup and I want to spread out the content over different times, it becomes a real pain to have to set a custom schedule when I already have all the auto schedules setup. Only getting the next auto schedule options is limiting. Also, when promoting a lot of content, I have to do it in batches of 5 or else twitter will lock my account. Having different auto schedule times will allow me to promote a lot of content and span it out over time so that I won't get my account locked for social media posting too quickly. …

Maybe don't close the uploader if someone clicks outside the box? Announcements work like this on mobile (you can tap/click outside an announcement popup and it doesn't close). Don't know why this is a thing?

I've just moved my forum from 3.4.8 to 4.4.4. I'll refrain about griping with regards to the new layout of the Messenger (which I loathe), but it would be REALLY NICE if I could actually search for conversations by participant. I have nearly 30,000 PMs in my inbox (forum has been online nearly 20 years), and I absolutely need the ability to easily find older conversations. I know this was briefly a feature in some version of 4.x, but was removed. I'd like to know how I can add this back. I don't care if it's slow, just that it works. Emails from the 3.4.x forum with links into messenger don't work, which was one way I would use to quickly jump into a conversati…

I searched a bit, but didn't see if this already a thing. It would be handy as an Admin to insert a post into a thread. For example, insert something at the top of the thread before the first post.

There is a time limit that prevents editing posts. There needs to be a time limit that prevents DELETING posts - it seems that posts can always be deleted - this would make the site look bad if some user decided to systematically deleting all their posts -

One of the features I need the most is the ability to set up a time limit for users to delete their posts. As of now we have the option to set up the time limit to edit posts but not delete posts. Why we can't set up the time to delete posts too? I need to let people to be able to delete posts - within a certain amount of time. The way this is set up now I can either let them delete posts or not. If I set it up so that users can delete posts then there is not time restriction - this means that once someone receives a warning he could delete all his posts. I have seen this happening in the past. People getting mad and in an hour or so "wiping down" a few thousand p…

Currently in open clubs users see nothing in place of editor. It looks confusing and not user-friendly. It would be nice to show them some info which explains what they can't post in this club because they're not it's members, along with button which allows to join club quickly right from this position and start writing of message immediately.

It would be nice to be able to add as a Category that can direct link to gift cards, or make it a product that can directly link to gift card page. Also allowing a user to add an image to the gift card.
