Messy look of clubs blog features

Featured Replies

Our clubs started to have blogs recently to publish their news. Unfortunately blog  and blog entry within club look very messy:

Here is the example of blog with double header: one from club and the second from the blog

And here is the example of the blog entry:

The mobile view is also weird.

I think there should be another blog header and blog entry header if shown within club.

You could try the other option of this global setting:

While I understand your criticism, I doubt they want to restyle the blogs look based on where its shown.

It looks indeed better with the header. But we cannot use this view because of the mobile view: in the mobile view the menu of the club is placed after activity stream. It means one has to scroll down to find a club card info (somewhere in-between the page) and then navigate. Nobody would do it.

Yea agree, just seen this, the header is actually at the very bottom of the club (inside the club) and that is......well crazy, as the header should show first?

In agreeance with you @Sonya*

Noted - that is odd. I'll raise an issue internally.

I also agree with the blog header in a club...looks really silly and messy when you have a Site header, then a Club header, then a Blog header or then a blog entry header:

However it looks ok within Blogs themselves as you just have the site header and the blog header.

BUT, to get rid of the messy look you need to change your your Club settings, as previously mentioned, to have the club information in the side bar which also doesn't look any good...in fact just as bad in my opinion.

Does anyone know how to remove the Blog header when being viewed within the Clubs section?

Be sure, that if you remove the blog header, you will loose Follow button for the blog.

The above code only remove the header

I see, it only removes the blog header when viewing blog index page of the club. But it does not change anything when viewing a blog entry, where we have 4 headers:

  • site header
  • club header
  • blog header
  • entry header

This is what is the most messy for me.

We've addressed the concern for the 4.4.5 maintenance release already.
