I use WordPress with Invision Power Board but I would like to change my home page. I have the installation of WordPress in the main directory / and the installation of Invision Power Board in the subdirectory /invision/. Until now I have left the WordPress installation htaccess intact, which sets the WordPress index.php as the Home page. But now I would like to change the home page and choose as the Home page the Invision Power Board address, which is located in the / invision / subdirectory. I changed the .htaccess to set the home page in the invision subdirectory. This is the modified htaccess: #Alternate default index page DirectoryIndex invision/index.php …

I'm setting up the Downloads app for the first time. I have a question about file versions: Is it possible to delete a single version of a file without deleting the entire entry? I don't see an obvious way to do so. Under "File Actions" there is a "Delete" link, but that actually deletes the entire entry, which I certainly don't want to do (I already tried this). I am getting extremely aggravated as I have never encountered this when using other forum software. Every registration validation email ends up in the members SPAM folder, the IP is not blacklisted, I have my DKIM and SPF records in place, reverse DNS...nothing helps. Any thoughts, I know there must be someone on here who can help me out. Thanks in advance everyone!!

Hi Gang I had about 20K posts archived. The fact that they were not searchable was a pain in the hoop.... so I changed settings and selected to restore the topics.... well, now the posts don't show as archived using the admin tool, but in the topic view they are still archived! Grrr. Any suggestions? Is there an alternative way to unarchive topics? Cheers John

Hello, I am requesting if someone can build me a small plugin for whatever cost it takes (PayPal). The role of the plugin is to allow members to have a small panel where they can switch their primary rank with the secondary ranks. So for example if I had the ranks: Members > Donator > Gambler > Supporter and Supporter being as my primary rank, I want it so you can switch the Supporter primary rank with any of the secondary ranks I choose such as Gambler. This will make my primary rank Gambler, and my secondary rank Supporter, including the other ones I already have. Let me know :)

Just been rummaging around google webmaster and spotted a few errors on the 'product' section. Presumably these are items that are shown at the top of google as products when someone performs a search. Are these errors below fixable within the store or does the software need some improvements to get our items showing as rich data/products? If the former, i'd appreciate any guidance, thanks.

I guess Support wont address this through a low priority ticket, even though it's not a third party Theme download, but is basic IPS Appearance functions. Posted this in Theme Assistance Forum but no takers. Pretty simple I think. In my admincp/appearance/themes and in my frontend default theme. I can't seem to find the text field to change the color of the text in the title bars in the sidebar content: POPULAR NOW, UPCOMING EVENTS, MEMBER STATISTICS, etc., etc. As is, they are set to a color that is almost impossible to read in the darker colored bar, and I want them white. I have just updated our community to 4.4 & everything appears to be working apart from Reactions. I know it's a minor thing but I'd like it to work! So when someone tries to use a reaction we get the message "Sorry, there was a problem reacting to this content" with an OK box to clear. All groups have permission to use reactions, and I've even tried disabling reactions completely & then re-enabling them, but it hasn't made a difference. Anyone got any ideas or should I open a support ticket?

The ACP error logs in my live site is accumulating this error. It is the result of using the " I accept " link in the terms of service confirmation bar to Guests. For text to show I use "cookies". In my Guest visitor tests, I can not reproduce this error - The "I accept" function works correctly. When reviewing the IP for Guests - all logs are from bot machines. Any idea where to look for this error, or is this a bug?

Hi guys I have an odd problem on my site. Default avatars have disappeared. This seemed to be the default IPS ones as far as I can tell. I have had my developer look into it as initially we believed it to me an AWS issue. The avatars in question all have a structure like this F_member_56164.png However it hasn't seemed to effect all of them. Some are still showing. Any ideas why this would be happening? This started 3 days ago and to my knowledge no changes have been made on the site in that time that could effect this.

I just did a fresh test installation of IPS 4.3.2 (localhost, XAMPP), no plugins, default theme, everything as is. Now I wanted to do some testing regarding translations, so I created a new language in the AdminCP (By the way: Is there no way to enter the Locale manually anymore? For example "en-US" or "en_US"? All I can do is choose a country name...). When I go to the frontend and open the default calendar page, the calendar shows up. However, when I change the language to the new one via the menu in the footer (no translation done yet), it instantly shows the following error on the calendar page: "The date you requested appears to be invalid" When I switch the lan…

Has anyone created Apache mod_rewrite rules to convert Invision 3.4.x forum links to 4.x? I just moved my forum recently from 3.4.x to 4.4.4, and it seems quite a few old links no longer work. Links to specific threads, posts, conversations, and links to specific forums don't seem to work, for instance. I'm sure others are broken as well, but those would be the big ones I'm most concerned with. Which is bad, since there are thousands of external links to my forum, not to mention many tens of thousands of internal links within the forum. Would be really nice to have those links properly redirected with a 301 redirect (permanently changed). Thanks, ..Al

Hi for some reason when I create a reply it won't save until I refresh. I will click Submit Reply and it will change to Saving... but will not change from that. I've checked the network tab and the request is just pending, I have waited for up to 5 minutes. Does anyone have any ideas of what could be going on? Or can point me in the right direction to debug this? Update: the requests just take very long to go through but eventually do and the post gets added without a refresh.
