If I create a new group promotion calling it membersx such that a member needs 100 posts to get promoted, once I create it will it only working going forward or would it then promote everyone with over 100 posts to the memberx group immediately on creation when I set the Action "Move to Group" membersx

Hello All, We need to create logins for our customers >= 100K members. We would like to go with the option of using mysql database as login handler, once the logins created for all the members is it possible to force them to change their password on first login? Does this require any customization of the login modules? or I am missing any configurations as I don't see options to force customer to change the password. Thanks

Hi Guys - I am working with @opentype's SuperReviews plugin and templates. I've added a field named Price to out product database, but I can't figure out how to sort by this field. I've tried number fields, text (and validated as number), etc... but the sorting only seems to look at the first digit of the price, unless more than one have the same first digit. Below is a screenshot of the sort by price. Question: How can I create a field that will be sorted by price? Bonus Question: How to default the sort to Ascending?

Hello. Im migrating my app from IPB 3.4 to 4 and i achieved a problem. My old database has few tables without default values. Of course it's working like a charm for years (integers are always 0 etc..) But after i migrated some tables, there is a problem with IPS. I have a knowledge about mysql-server strict mode. I have disabled it but IPS is handling it own way.. I dont want to set manually default values to my own 30 tables - so this is not a solution. There is one solution "INSERT IGNORE INTO" instead of "INSERT INTO" - it's working, but i don't know it is secure

We just recently updated to the newest version and in doing so our layout has a few errors that we are noticing. Firstly, the image for the user who posted content is displayed twice as shown here: I was able to find that there are two identical lines of code being written for each post that href back to the users profile (as they should) but I am unable to find where to edit to be able to stop the code from displaying the image twice. Secondly, the user who posts the content is being displayed as the reply-er, and the reply-er is being shown as the poster. These just need to be switched, but again, I am unable to find where to fix these issues. …

I've just converted a database from XF 2.1 to IPS 4.4.8 using the new converters. Everything has gone fine and all of the topics and posts have been imported (which is what I wanted to save time having to redo them all) however, there is a small snag; all of my posts are (just over 1100 of them) are showing as 'Guest Dave' and I would like to associate them with my user ID (ID #1) is there any SQL command that would do the job so the posts can be re-associated with my current user name and lose the 'Guest Dave'? Any help would be greatly appreciated; with thanks.

Hi Guys - Our users are reporting a strange issue with Firefox loading IPS topics in the forum, activity stream, etc... There is a short delay where the mouse won't turn into a hand over links and it's like the page isn't loading correctly. Upon closer inspection, a user noticed Firefox was trying to open the sound card when loading an IPS page and there was contention causing it to freak out, thus the delay before things fully functioned. This is frequently noticed on the activity streams where people load it and go to click right away. I have all sounds disabled in IPS. This is one area that is driving me nuts. Has anyone else run into this? Or is this a bug? After a 3.4.7 upgrade to 4.4.6 test install on the Localhost the upgrade went fine with no issues. But after a 4.4.6 to 4.4.7 upgrade for example the Join Dates are AWOL. Being this is not a theme issue (no themes installed) I have looked in the core files and compared every file with WinMerge that could have any possible link to this with absolutely no luck. Maybe I am looking in the wrong files? Has anyone else run into this issue with the upgrade.

Hi, We are unable to use community after upgrading to 4.4.8. We are having issues with javascript files. Is there a was to regenerate them. What can we do. It looks like javascript layer is not working. Default skin or our custom is not working. Tried different browsers etc.

Hi! I am transferring over my customers from WHMCS to IPS Commerce for my web hosting business. I had to manually create invoices, mark them as paid, and then change the renewal dates. I setup my server and it talks to IPS but the clients are not able to navigate to their cPanel using the site. When I look at the server in I get this message when I look at the accounts: Does anyone know how to sync up the cPanel accounts to their respective IPS purchase? Thanks in advance!

Hello, my SEO for my community is very much so in disarray I would say , I have it registered with Google Search Console , and I've waited a while for google to crawl the site, now I check google search console in the coverage section and I have two errors one says there is a crawl error with a submitted URL the other says there is a 404 not found . does anyone know how I might resolve this ? Hello all, For some reason, Spotify embeds no longer work on IPS. My site is currently on IPS 4.4.7 and they were working but for the past few weeks, they no longer work. I tried on IPS's Test Forum and it also does not work. Hi Guys - Is it normal for a 301 redirect to happen whenever clicking on a specific post from the activity stream? When I click on the time and date of a post, to go directly to that post, I see a 301 redirect when looking at the page inspection info. Here's a screenshot. The first line in the bottom window pane says 301.

Hi, noticed when I went to my forum then scrolled down to see Load More Activity and clicked it the new content did not load appear nicely on the same level as that button is instead it loaded above the button and I had to scroll back up to see the additional content. Clearly something is wrong and its sometimes quite random when information loads nicely but its like 90% of the time its bad. SOMETIMES: This bug happens only when the button LOAD MORE is anywhere else but the bottom of the screen.
