Posted April 30, 20187 yr Hi! After updating to 4.3.1, my Online Users statistics in ACP dropped to zero, and it has remained at zero since. I know there are more online users than that... ? Anyone with the same experience?
April 30, 20187 yr Ive fixed this weekend a similar issue, could you please submit a ticket. I want to verify that your issue will be fixed too and that it’s not something else ? Please just point to this topic and ask to escalate it to me.
April 30, 20187 yr I have the same issue, and the activity stream has been dead since update as well. I've submitted a ticket; hope it gets taken care of quickly!
May 3, 20187 yr I've recently upgraded and thought the same, checked the new online users stats and you can tell when I upgraded
May 4, 20187 yr The guest count not being included is a bug (that will only impact some users as the issue is based upon a certain setting being enabled) and will be corrected in the next maintenance release.
May 5, 20187 yr I was just going to upgrade to 4.3.1 but would prefer to wait until this is fixed. Unless there is a way that we can check the settings ourselves to know if we are impacted?

Unless there is a way that we can check the settings ourselves to know if we are impacted? Believe 4.3.2 will have another issue which will make you wait for 4.2.3 ? Shouldn't matter, if it's just stats affected and doesn't impact actual users online.
May 23, 20187 yr Updated from 4.2.9 to 4.3.2, online users in ACP 2 days ago updated on 4.3.3, no changes ?
May 23, 20187 yr Mine is much the same, you can see when I upgraded to 4.3.1 and its still not corrected itself after two further upgrades Edited May 23, 20187 yr by marklcfc
June 3, 20187 yr Chiming in. If there was a change to the algorithm that counts users it would be nice to know if this reduced count is more accurate, and if so, why. Edited June 3, 20187 yr by Linguica
June 4, 20187 yr Some of you have dropoffs that are so extreme that it seems hard to believe it's "just" a change in how the software calculates online users... Edited June 4, 20187 yr by Linguica
June 5, 20187 yr I'm guessing that the change was to exclude bots and spiders from the count. But even then some of the changes are pretty drastic and hard to believe that...
June 5, 20187 yr Wonder what setting affected this. We upgraded to 4.3.3 from 4.2.9 on the 24th of May.
June 5, 20187 yr If it helps, in my case it looks like the stats are the same, but the sampling is more rare, the charts look much smoother: Upgrade date, 26th of May
June 5, 20187 yr There were a few bugs in various 4.3.x versions that have been fixed but wouldn't affect everyone (e.g. the group setting to "show users in online lists" applied to the guests group was affecting the counts in the AdminCP stats, and there were also issues tracking bot sessions). These issues should all be sorted as of 4.3.3 to my knowledge.
July 30, 20186 yr Hi, I upgraded 4.2.8 to 4.3.5 yesterday. Guest and Member online user counts increased. Is it related to user's session time ? Which task/setting I need to change ?
December 12, 20195 yr Update 🙂 I changed 3 settings : 1 - php.ini --> session.gc_maxlifetime value. Restart httpd after change. Default : 1440 (24 min.) I changed it to : 600 (10 min.) 2 - ACP/Tasks/Onlineusers refresh schedule. This affects only "online users" statistics at ACP. It can be changed manually at ibf_core_tasks database table. Default : 15 minutes. I changed it to : 10 min. 3 - ACP/Tasks/Clearsessions refresh schedule. It can be changed manually at ibf_core_tasks database table. Default : 30 minutes. I changed it to : 10 min. Result : Edited December 13, 20195 yr by Selcuk Keles
