Hi, I've been searching for this for a while now, I'm not sure if i'm missing it or if it's been removed. Is it possible to assign a custom title per user or per rank? I see a global setting, but I don't see a setting to set a title for specific groups i.e administrators or moderators. Thanks.

Hello, After updating to Invision Community 4.5 when the popup appeared at the top of my forum, I'm getting an ominous error when I try to interact with one of my plugins. Is there some way I can fix this or roll back to 4.4.10? I would not have done this update if it had been more clear it might knock out critical plugins. The release notes did not suggest that at all. Thanks!

I'm asking here because perhaps I'm just missing the option for this. In my community, we have a mixture of staff- and player-run events. I have an events board in my forum, segregated by whether it is a staff- or player-run event. Players use this board to post details about the event including its time, in-game location, whether it's an open or closed event, and so forth. They also add one of four tags: upcoming, postponed, completed, or canceled. I would like to tie this in to the calendar system so staff and player events appear on the calendar. Hey all, I just popped my IPS ban-cherry and banned our first user after migrating from VB. Back in VB, when someone was banned, they were automatically moved to a seperate user group which had special group formatting and a custom title. Now, it didn't happen. I tried poking around in the group promotion section but couldn't find anything that referred to banning. Can anyone point me in the right direction (could also be a plugin that does that). Thanks.

If I am using the regular basic block manager and I put a block somewhere, is there any way to make the block only appear in only certain forums, and not all? Let's say I allow members 200 pm's. But now I want to introduce tiers, where regular members get maybe 100, and special members get 500. If I change the allocation to members down to 100, what happens to those who already have more than 100 in their pm box? Do they keep them all and just can't do more, or will it delete the oldest ones until they only have 100? I wouldn't want members to lose pm's that they already have. Thanks in advance.

Hi, anyone have any advice for mass assigning tags to topics and setting them as prefixes? For example: Sub-Forum discussing the topic Red. Move all topics to a parent forum called 'Colours' and any topic that was in the sub-forum to be tagged as 'Red.'

Is it actually possible within the 'full fat' IPS Community suite, to create a basic RSS feed of Topics (new/recent/latest), without it including the post content or without the need for a Marketplace plugin? This seems a simple task and I'm almost embarrassed to ask, custom RSS feature insists on bloating the topic feed with post content. I also noticed it passes RSS feed validation at W3C but it mentions GUID tags are missing. I'll also tried making a custom Activity Stream for its RSS feed and fiddled with Pages. Many thanks.

Hi everybody, i try to set up some responsive css parts, but it doesn't work as it should or i want. I would give some boxes a different height/width on medium and small screens. Looking for some ideas... I would like to bring over an old vBulletin 3.x forum and merge all the members and content in to an existing Invision Community. Essentially bringing over the existing forums, posts and members. There will be cases where members on the target website already exist as they were members of both sites. How would you suggest I approach this?

Apologies that I am not aware of all that happened between 3.4.8 and 4.4, but I'm here now. Had a few members ask me about post numbers, as they like to point out a specific post. Researching told me that post numbering was done away with, correct? It would require a plugin to get that working. A few other posts referred to using the "share post" function to link to a specific post, not thread. But I cannot find the share post icon either. So instead I wanted to confirm here that indeed, there is no post numbers anymore, and has share post also gone or do I need to enable it somewhere. And is there still no easy way to point to a specific post? Thanks all.

Hi all, I have just purchased the pages application addon for my forum, I have updated the license on my admin CP but can't seem to find it in my applications do I need to install it or does it automatically install? I've tried to setup Facebook login for my IPS forum and honestly, I don't really know what to say other than imagine my shock, Facebook have made things incredibly complicated yet again for no apparent reason. All of the IPS end is configured correctly. I haven't really got a clue what I'm doing with the Facebook developer app end, what I'm really looking for and how to get this thing approved. Hello, I've made badges for the Reputation / Post Rank system. But the Reputation level shows the title when hovered, the Post Rank doesnt? How can i make the Post Rank show the Title aswell? So I have recently taken over a forum as webmaster as the old one has just disappeared on us, Not got a lot of experience with forum software etc so please bear with me. On the admin CP it recommends updating the character set from UTF8MB4 to a different version of UTF8. I set that upgrade going last night and after a few minutes it looked like it got stuck. I left it so I wouldn't break anything and it come up with a 500 error. Sorry I didnt save the exact error for some reason. If the browser supports autofill / autocomplete (e.g. Chrome), text fields can be filled with the suggestions given. Suggestions are usually based ob previous entries. This is very practical if forms have to be filled in with repeating information. I use this feature when adding records to my pages database. However, the autofill feature does not work when using fields of type "textarea". I suspect this functionality is not supported by Invision Commmunity Software. Hello, from the UX perspective I would really appreciate if we could remove the cryptic error code line (in grey) for guests and users on permission error pages. Is there any way to do that? Users and guests don't benefit from this information.
