I don't know. I've asked but I'm still waiting to hear back.

IPS has disabled purchasing of the app in light of my deprecation notice, and will not be reenabling.

That being the case, sorry, no, there is no way to obtain it anymore through Marketplace.

Can it be forked or handed over to another developer like @Adriano Faria?

it seems such a waste for a quality app with such a long history to just die off, especially when many sites rely on it.

Or conversely the IPS core team should look at incorporating this tag functionality into the core IPS!!

That would require customizing your theme to reposition it.

Good news, everyone:

@Kevin Carwile will be taking over Advanced Tags & Prefixes going forward, including ongoing support and maintenance. Don't go too hard on him. I can't speak to what he has planned for the future, but if you've already purchased he should make sure you continue to be taken care of. Purchasing has also been reenabled, so if you've been waiting to buy it you can do that now.

Author note 2018-10: Support and maintenance will be limited going forward. This app works fine as of IPS 4.3 and may continue to work with new releases in the future, but when it stops working that's probably it. Thanks for your support over the years!

Great that someone is taking over the app, I do hope that at least compatibility with upcoming versions will be guaranteed. I don't mind adding renewal costs to the app either.

Still, I was hoping that Kevin can put some love towards his other apps, now it seems he will be even more busy...

The $container parameter in tagsFormField() can by definition be NULL, but this applications hook does not account for that.

Here's a simple patch to fix this in order to prevent compatibility issues with other third-party applications or future IPS updates.

I don't know if you found a temporary fix at this time but for anyone else that may have this problem until a patch is published:

This is due to a constant that doesn't exists anymore in IPS 4.4 :

Error: Undefined constant 'IPS\HTMLENTITIES'

After checking, in the file init.php (v 4.3.6):

'HTMLENTITIES'						=> ENT_DISALLOWED, // @deprecated and will be removed in 4.4

The fix:

Edit the file applications/advancedtagsprefixes/hooks/formatPrefix.php and replace (2 places):

\IPS\HTMLENTITIES

by

ENT_DISALLOWED

and run the support tools to clear the cache.
