So this just is something I see come up a lot and it requires a manual post template edit in order to do it. It would be nice to simply have it added to the core template. Basically add the members group ID to their comment classes. This would allow for a lot of "per group" customization that isn't currently available by adding simple CSS edits. This would help things from per group highlighting to per group colors, per group borders, per group badge colors and more. I am asking because I frequently see requests for it and it would be far simpler to throw CSS at someone then CSS and a template edit.

Salut. I come with a proposal to add description to each individual tag and add the possibility of indexation. Google treats tags friendly if they have a unique description for each tag. WordPress has always allow to tag indexing. Tags can refer to, for example, some person or thing. Sometimes a tag with a description is higher in the search results than the topic! I would like to make it so I cannot receive private messages. I do not want users sending me unnecessary messages. It would be nice if the user account had an option to disable them for only their own account.

When clicking on Our Pick image thumbnail, the users are directed not to the image details but rather to an image preview, which leads them 'nowhere', there is no link on the preview page to the main album which is misleading. It would seem more logical to direct to the photo detail page.

Our users complain about relative dates again and again. The main issue they have: they do not want to calculate how many hours ago is yesterday. They would like to differ between posts made today and yesterday. So they need clean statement today, 11:23 or yesterday, 23:43. At the moment if they see something like 19 hours ago they must work out if today is already longer as 19 hours then the post is from today. Otherwise from yesterday. A lot of our users wish to see what content has been published "TODAY". Can you please consider to change the logic of f_hours and f_hours_short to figure out whether the post has been made today or yesterday and print out the words…

There used to be a "go to first unread post" link within a topic. Let's say there's a topic with 5 pages and I read the topic when it was two and a half pages long. When I see the topic I click its title which brings me to the first page. I have no link to go to the first unread post within that topic. It makes sense to show the user there are unread posts especially if he came to the topic from search results pointing to page 1 which he has already read. Why was the link removed?

IPS has changed the way the marketplace works for various of these personal interests. Has IPS also thought and planned something for customers whose community is based heavily on the use of a marketplace application? If an application is no longer updated by a developer, what does IPS foresee so that these users can continue to grow and operate their site without having to migrate to something else? After a year without updating an application on the market place, what do we propose to do?

Hello I think it is very important to add a check for server free disk space and check also the files size from S3 Cloud before starting the transfering from S3 back to server. If the available free disk space on the server is not enough for the files that coming from the S3 cloud back then the server will be full and the server will die. Nothing will work with 0 free space and the user will be in a case that he will not be able to revert that task and the only solution will be to request from the data center extra hard disks to added on the server. Until then the forum will be down .... Doesn't seem hard to add that …

So my community is getting flooded with spam lateley. We do allow guest comments for news and articles and we like to keep it that way since ~80% of all comments are made by guests. ReCaptcha 2 seems to be unable to prevent spam from bots so I was hoping to be able to enable the "Question and Answer Challenge" not only for registration but also for posting guest content. I propose the following features: Allow Question and Answer Challenge for guest content enable a "show random question" option for both registration and guest comments What do you guys think? 🙂

Somebody brought to my attention that there was no preview button. Blow me they were right! I then came along to this forum and did a search on "preview button". There are lots of queries and clearly it's taken people lots of their time asking about it. It turns out that there is a preview button – and when I went back to my own forum, I found that – yes – there is a preview button. It's actually very good one because you can check the appearance of your post in desktop view, tablet view and phone view. A very nice feature. Bravo. There's a lot of topics with discussions and questions from the same category. So it would be nice to activate question if the user marked this topic as a question, like happens in some platforms. If there's already a way to do this, please, share. This is a game changer, since enabling question for a entire section is a bazooka approach (atleast in my forum).

I've been experimenting with adding physical objects to the Store, and notice that whenever I add the physical dimensions of an object (height/width/weight) I can choose cm over in., kg over lb, etc., but when products display in the website store they are always displayed using Imperial measurements. Moreover, if I return to the product in the AdminCP the suite has reverted my data back to Imperial in the product edit screen. 😶 I can't possibly be the first one to notice this, so I was wondering if this is going to be fixed at some point as a nod to those of us who have embraced the Metric system? 😄

New theme settings in IPS4 are impressive while customizing the default theme. But In addition to background-colors, text-colors and logos I would like to have Fonts Web Services like Google Fonts integrated into theme settings. So that for basic user it easy to pick and change the font family from Fonts Web Service as well throughout the Suit just like text-colors and background-colors.

When sending a warning, the popup dialog covers the entire content you clicked from, including who the warning is going to. There's nothing in the box that tells you who is receiving the message, nor that shows you the content itself so you can reference both in the message to moderators or to the member. This is some first class nonsense. I have the memory of a goldfish left out of water for a day and a half, and can't remember how many letters or numbers or whatever a person had in their display name to address them properly, nor can I grab quotes of text from the content easily to reference. Please fix this UX oversight. K. thx. bai.
