I'm getting this error when making a get request from my frontend to the IPB api: Access to XMLHttpRequest at 'url' from origin 'null' has been blocked by CORS policy: No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. The request works fine when using postman and passing the API as username with no password (like mentioned in the docs) but when doing this with react/axios on the frontend it doesn't seem to work. Is this an issue with IPB? How can it be fixed? I'm no backend pro so any help would be really appreciated. Thanks

Hi there, It would be great if it was possible to use a 24h clock in the calendar application, a 24 hour clock is pretty much the written standard for most non-english writing countries and makes proper lokalisation a bit harder.

Right now we can merge all posts in the topic as we want (even from different users), but there is no option to merge anything with first post. It would be really nice to have such option in the future.

At this moment in time, google adsense can be added to the side bar and in various different other areas. However, for me, a major problem is not being able to add google adsense ads to posted article content (it can be kind of done manually but is a pain in the a**!). It can also be done by adding a single line of code from google and adding this code to the global template of your IPS website. This however places google ads everywhere on your site! So you then need to go on to your google adsense account and spend time adjusting your ads choosing where you wish to show ads on your site and which parts of your site you do not wish to show ads. I originally posted it as a bug report and was asked to post it as a suggestion here. If you merge two posts... IPB does two things: 1. It merges the two threads without asking me which thread I want it to pick as the new parent one. 1. It kills the link of the second thread. It becomes 404. What I want IPB to do is to ask me which thread I want to keep after the merge. And I want it to redirect the second thread to link to the merged thread.

I've tried the demo to test some Mathematics. I used MathJAX and CKEditor Mathematical Formulas. Here are the problems I encountered so far: When replying to a topic, LaTex is not formatted correctly until the page is refresh. When using the Fluid view, switching to different forums will disable the MathJAX formatting. It needs refresh so that it will format correctly. When viewing a user's content/activity, switching between Topics/Post will also disable MathJAX. I think the reason why it lost MathJAX formatting is because of AJAX. We need a improvement more. Right the the feature "Users can see topics posted by others users?" only is valid for Member create topic posting to staff, it can not let staff create topic posting to member. We need ability that staff create support topic or record posting to member. Then member in that forum can see topics created by himself and topics created by staff posting to related member.

Happy new year, I really like some posts I get from services like Spotify and Hootsuite which shows my use of the service during the year. For example I'm sure you know Spotify shows you every December (it's calling it Wrapped 2020) which songs were your favorites one, which genre you liked more, how many minutes you heard music and so many other interesting stats. Pages let me create a custom field for Members, how it work? Is possible use it to create records only visible for members filled? I mean create a record, then use this members field to assign who can see the records, if MEMBER A and MEMBER B are placed in the field, then that record only visible and editable by them. The Recent updated is one of my most visited widget, but in case more than 10 updated apps I will lose the rest of them. Example for recent topics widget by default with 10 topics, I would like have a "more" button in the end, each time I use the button it will show 5 items more, so I can use it to enlist to more topics. So, unless I'm having the worst blonde moment of day one in 2021. I cannot find a way to report/alert staff to a member? The only way is to report via topic/post, and I think a status update. What does one do when you need to report a member (from a members point of view) on IPS? As I feel this has been overlooked. My example is 'KiwiGym' who is clearly a spam account, but I can't report it... This has what made me think about such an option. P.S. KiwiGym is just spamming the follow button on random accounts today. 😊

It appears that in Gallery the Show map option is uneasy to turn on 'per image' . While it can be turned on on one image, after clicking on next image this toggle becomes inactive. One has to exit to album and click on to the next image to switch the toggle, which is not practical.

Hi, I miss in the invison forum the option to let the member free to see X photos / videos and after reaching the limit that the free user has access, ask him to upgrade. I saw this option in xenforo. Does anyone know if there is a plugin that does this? Regards, marcio

Hey there. I am wondering... what do you guys think is the best form of advertising on a forum? Right now I have: Programmatic advertising with banner ads. They are responsive ads - so they show different banners depending whether you're on mobile or desktop. I have one ad display below the header, one ad in the side bar, and one ad after the first post in a forum/topic. I also have 'takeover' ads in effect - sometimes the entire page looks like an ad. Hello, Would like to propose that you add an option to have the option "Let others see that I follow this", when following items, deselected by default. Some users are very privacy oriented and see no reason this is enabled by default as they have to deselect it every time. This should then also affect the "Follow item" checkbox in the reply forms. I know that there isn’t a rule or something for this but you will REALLY allow @KiwiGym to follow all members in this board? 🤣 It’s been a few days already and it seems not a good idea to let a visitor follow EVERYONE on this board! It’s obviously he wants to people to know his URL. It’s enough, I guess... 🤦🏻♂️ Btw, the topic is because we can’t report profiles! Miss this on IP.Board 3.X!
