I'm looking at enabling signatures on our site again with V4 but I'm also considering having every users setting switched from being able to view them, to not being able to view them by default. It would then be up to them to enable the signature viewing or not. Is it possible to have a setting within the ACP that allows this to be done or would it need to be an SQL query that is performed?

Now, in 4.0, there is the option "Can view member profiles and member list" per group member? From what I see on this forum, guests can access members' profiles. In IPS 4.0 can I hide members' profiles and the list, as it was in IPS 3.0? Thank you.

i admit I've talked about this till I'm blue in the face. Pre 3.2 we had forum jump which made navigation so much easier. This was replaced with quick navigation which I was never a fan of, so can understand its removal in 4.0 but now we're left with no forum jump and no quick nav. I noticed xenforo and vbulletin are stil making use of a feature like this. Why are invision insistent on removing a well used feature?

Over the last few weeks I had to set up a few new user groups, with different permissions and options, a bunch of new forums, new nexus (store) items, menu permissions, you name it. It is a recurring nightmare, uh, feature one goes through managing a board. In order to compare the existing and the new ones, I ended up manually copying the details to an excel sheet or 2, 3, ..., 7, or more, so I would have all of the options next to each other and could compare more easily what I was doing. It would really be great if it would be possibly to export configuration and permissions to a spreadsheet, and it would be great to reimport it again after making changes. It would esse…

Hi Guys, Something very small which I change each and every time I skin the forum which I think would be worth doing on the default skin. The sidebar never seems to look like its uniform and can see why, its just because of what elements its lined up with. Any chance you could have it in line with the top forum on the main page as I think it would look a lot neater.

We've known for some time now that the Marketplace API is going to receive an overhaul. The section is even viewable within the contributor center. With the release of IPS4 fairly imminent, It would be great if IPS could share some information about what kind of push & pull requests will be available as I and I'm sure many others would love to prepare our systems before the big launch. I was customizing a theme for IPS 4. Beta 2 was working ok.When I tried to update to beta 3 I get an error.I waited for the beta 4. I know you are all extremely busy with the current beta and bugs etc but I was just wondering; as to when a pre-release or Beta for chat might become available (I know, soon)? I'm looking forward to testing it and seeing if chat is responsive along with the rest of the suite and what new features may be available.

I find that emails I receive from invisionpower.com (notifications and such), are extremely slow to load in Outlook currently, to the degree that I had to opt out of all email notifications. Messages I scroll to are forever loading images hosted on the site here, and when that happens I cannot do anything else. It takes up to a few hours before it finally displays something at all, and stopping Outlook of course doesn't help either. It is extremely slow closing, and the moment I open it up again it will start where it was at the time of closing. And only with messages from invisionpower.com Is there another attack going on at the moment? TIA, kind regards, Wim

Hello, Does anybody work Twitter Sign Up? I got only errors. I tried many times, but without success! This is not my first time, when I use twitter API in my life. I did everything as is here http://community.invisionpower.com/4docs/administration/system/settings/twitter-login-r65/ I tried same API add to my Wordpress blog and VB4 forum, works excellent. Hi, when tried ugrade to beta 5 the installation was crashed, so I install the all new beta 5, but I need the data of the old database, but when import the database to the new database of beta 5, appear message of duplicate information and table. What I should do is the correct way?

I deleted the databases, I deleted all of the files, I did a fresh install of Beta5a to my sub-domain. I can log in to the ACP by going to domain/admin but I can't log in to the front end. I don't get any error... it just goes back to the main page with a "Existing user? Sign In " at the top. btw, where is the "clear formatting" button!?!?!

I don't know if this is being posted in the right area, so please don't hesitate to move it if you need to, but I'm trying to make it so that the "back to forum" button that is at the top of the page can be displayed at the bottom of the page as well when you are viewing a thread. If I read a thread and then want to go back to the main forum, I have to scroll all the way back up, but I've just read to the bottom. I have looked for other topics on this but didn't find any. I also tried to figure it out within the skin myself, but I'm not really a programmer, just know very minimal stuff in that regard. Any help would be appreciated.
