I am trying the new beta of IPB4 on a copy of my database so that I can start getting familiar with the new interface.I am having a problem with the BBCode on my old messages. After the upgrade, I can't display correctly the messagges. In fact, I can only see the code.For example:[color="red"]text[/color]How can I enable it again? bfarber Posted January 19, 2015 Share Posted January 19, 2015 A rebuild task kicks off that rebuilds posts in the background post-upgrade. This can take some time to complete, especially on a test installation that does not have much traffic (and subsequently tasks take a while to run). However, the situation is still the same after a few days from the setup. How long is it gonna take? Can I run the tasks manually? How?Thanks again! bfarber Posted January 21, 2015 Share Posted January 21, 2015 You can go to advanced configuration and get instructions on setting up a cron job on your server to run the tasks, which will run them much faster (as it does not rely on traffic to your site to initiate tasks).
