Hi, Maybe there is already a plugin to do that, but I am not sure. When we ban someone manually, we can simply move him to the "Banned Users" usergroup that we have. This way, on all of ther user's posts, it will show "Banner User" on his mini profile next to the post, where the usergroup is displayed. However, if the user is banned automatically because he has reached a certain number of infraction points, he remains on the regular usergroup, so other users are not aware that the user was banned. So I want to know a way to make the forum display a "user banned" message on the mini profile regardless of the user's usergroup... Any ideas on how I c…

Hi! Pages permit to edit last part of url, end - if edit - remove or set new id -r* Cause of this, i can set an id of another article, and make a conflict (lost one of this articles)- i can recovery only with goback in browser, or via acp. In my opinion, edit title url (just latest part) can be ok, but var "-r*" need to remain fixed in it. regards

Can we have the ability to only offer products to certian member groups and not just hide them from specific groups. Reason. We have a yearly membership to our site and each year we have a number of competitions. We sell entry to these competitions. Some of the competitions are only available for the yearly members group. So when a normal member visits a product where they need to be a yearly member I would like them to be advised they must buy the yearly membership before they can proceed.

I use adsense, however I noticed that the default advertisement options in IPB 4 do not let me comply with Google Adsense unless I manually define my own locations. Ideally I want to use these two options: But I can't because any error page I happen to get will always display these two ad locations above and below the error message which is in violation of google's adsense policy: https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/1346295#Ad_limit_per_page Please give us a "Show on Error Pages" option as an advertising location so that I can uncheck it.

As described, when I try to do an advanced search for a special member, I'm allowed to enter his name, the content types I'd like to see and a time period for created content. So far so good. But if I start searching, a popup appears and tells me to insert at least 1 tag. Without entering a tag, no search function can be performed. What's going on? I don't want to search for special tags, but for ALL member contents in a defined time period...

It has been 6 months since I posted a bug report about commerce having NO search and this is the reply I got. Since then there has been NO news at all and many new versions, yet still NO search. There should be some ability, button, etc for each item that the previous buyers could click on when a developer has not updated their module for the current version of the IPB software. Since you're not offering older versions of v4 and you advise everyone to upgrade at each cycle, there would be no reason for a mod to only work an older version, ie v4.3. So, with that being considered, there should be a button for existing buyers that they can click on when a developer is several versions behind in updating their MOD and / or the MOD doesn't work on the current version. Hi, I feel the marketplace needs a freshen up, a few of the issues i have with it are. The 'Highest Rated' section of the front page only shows products for the older versions of IPB, personally this annoys me as i would like to be able to see what the most used products are for the newest version of the software. The 'Most Downloaded' section of the front page also falls under the same problem as the previous point. The categories are very hard to understand and i believe they should be renamed to help newer people to the software find new plugins and applications, the layout the older categories used were so much easier to understand. Calendar is a great tool to as add and promote events. In Google Search Console, you can tag pages as events to promote them on Google search results : https://developers.google.com/structured-data/?hl=fr&rd=1 However, Google needs an address to reference events and their is only a Google Map on current IPS event page without text address. So can you add this kinf od field in a future release? Thank you

I would love to see the following features: Define member groups or individual members, that are allowed to use the "paid files" feature only. It's ok for the community, to upload free files, but the paid option should be restricted to selected member circles. Maybe it could be possible, that members will only be allowed to publish paid files, if they have an active subscription in commerce. Set different commission rates for different member groups or individual members. It should be configurable, what individual percentage each member can earn. 1. "Remote images" in IPS4 always open in the same browser tab. There are no option like this in the ACP. Nowadays similar option allows to add target="_blank" to external links but not for external images. 2. It's also necessary the option to open internal images in lightbox also on mobile devices. It's inconveniently for my community users without lightbox on mobile. I modified the forum JavaScript so the lightbox displays on mobile devices well in my community, but applying this "patch" after each forum upgrade is annoying. Thanks.

I have an articles homepage, that automatically does a topic in the forum when submitted. It displays the attached image in the article but not in the topic, it would be nice to have an option to embed this image in the topic somewhere too.

If you have over 10 notifications, as soon as you click that 'bell' the number goes away. I then loose track of where I'm at with reading them. I think it would make more sense if you click the notification then the count goes down by 1. Any thoughts?

I wonder if we could add a feature to customize the user menu (see screenshot to understand what menu I am talking about). As many items that were there in 3.4.x are now under the "Activities" menu, most of our users are lost. Specifically, they are not realizing that the "Content I Follow" item on the user menu is to configure the notifications and not to actually follow the items.

One of the greatest features we had on 3.4.x was the "Mark as solved". Basically a button that the topic author or a moderator could click to mark which post solved the issue, highlighting this post. Additionally, I wanted a special badge to show up on the topic and list of topics indicating that the problem was solved. However, 4.1.x doesn't have this feature, unless you configure the forum to be a Q&A forum, which I don't want. Is there a way to incorporate this functionality back in future versions? Is there any plugin/app to do that? Thanks.

Let's say you are building a database of all the cars in the world. This is a huge database and you are entering possibly a thousand names in a day as separate db records. This floods the streams. Admins/Editors need a quick way to prevent these from showing in streams, including All Activity. With certain databases you don't need the record to show in the streams. Especially when doing bulk data entry as the building process. We just want to build it and when users want to look a record up they will look it up alphabetically and by category. Currently, if you want to view content that you've posted, you have to click your picture (or, on this site, click your name then click profile), then view your activity. It would make sense to have My Content or My Activity or something like that in the user dropdown menu that you get when clicking your username, so you can access it at a later date.

I don't often write messages irrespective of how I feel (good or bad) but I have to say I had lost my confidence in IPS recently where I felt the support was not great, often fobbed off with a response of "have you run the support tool" and anything else that could be dreamt up in order to provide an initial response to put the ticket back on my toes and then as it was not the first submission when I replied it took days to get a response.
