The Topic Feed block is nice and neat but it would be fantastic if we had a few more options for customisation. The options to hide avatars of the poster, to show the user who posted on the topic (rather than the topic creator) and to see more recently discussed topics would be great. Here's an example screenshot from our forum before the upgrade to IPS4.x : So the functionality was there, though I actually don't recall if it was a default feature - I believe it was.

I think it would be great if we could create a custom block and drop it on a user profile and when doing so have it only provide information specific from that user. Example: A gallery block that when placed on user profiles outputs recent images respective USER has added to gallery. As is currently it seems it can only output ALL recent images loaded to gallery irrespective of the user who's profile the block is on.

Hi IPS, Please can add a toggle to open and close the emoticon smilies, in order to make it easier to drag/drop reorder them? Once you have several categories and each one contains several rows of smilies, its a nightmare trying to reorder them. If we could close the categories, it would be a lot easier to move them up and down the page. Many thanks.

The functionality of PM search is not satisfactory. It's to the point that it is legitimately is useless. First off it's difficult to tell what it's searching on. You can't search for usernames (either from or to) which to me is important. I feel that the search is arbitrary because I can search for something and many PMs come up that have nothing to do with it.

How do you get to the store cart in the mobile layout? I can't see it anywhere. It would be nice to have an indication when you have something in the cart: And then a button to go to the cart when you open the menu: Or maybe just place a cart icon with the link next to the menu button if you have something in it. If this is not a bug, I will look into creating a plugin.

Feature request for @Matt Records from the Database Relashionship field were shown as comma-separated in 3.4. Pages doesn’t do that anymore and just throws out an long stream of unseparated text when multiple entries are used. And since we can only access either the record IDs or the full HTML snippet for all links, there is also no simple and clean way to add a separator, add classes to the links or anything like that. Please consider options to make this more versatile or at least behave like 3.4 so we can continue to use it as before.

With the permissions in Administrators you can grant a mod "Can ban/unban members" permission but it doesn't work unless you grant "Can edit member accounts" permission. Please allow the ban permission to work independently so mods can simply use the ban tool in acp w/o giving them access to see and change account details. The ban button could appear without the other information just like other options do. Ban should supercede the edit/view permissions, it is on the same level in the hierarchy, not above it, and we don't always want mods fiddling with account details, groups, etc. Thanks! If you update your rules, which most comptetent webmasters should do, to reflect changing laws and emerging trends etc, there is no way to force all members to read and agree if they wish to continue using the site. This should be built into the software, otherwise, depending on the site you run, you can be left wide open to all sorts of legal problems.

Hi guys, Guess I will start off by saying I love your software. It is aesthetically beautiful and ticks a lot of the boxes for forum software. I've come from XF and before that VB and was pleasantly surprised by the ease of use and standard features built into the IPS core. Thank you. One thing that I would really love to see, which to me would make all the difference to this amazing platform, is a better community experience right here at IPS. Often (very often) I have an issue with the software, do a search of the community and find someone who is (or was) experiencing the exact same problem. Thing is, most times no-one has bothered to respond to them.…

notification are not hightlight which are actually not checked or clicked.. in view all notification page its fine it shows bold text .. but it should be fixed here to to highlight unread notification so we can know which one we checked . sometimes there r so many and its hard to find which 1 we checked . here is the screenshot

We would like new members to have the default set to "Receive notifications" on Topics they start as well as topics the reply in. How do we set that. The opposite is the default now. We prefer they be able to remove those setting if they want rather than having to opt-in on those aspects. Most never realize they can opt-in.

i use this function with my site with https and works very fine... but why don't permit to choise if download ALL image (also in http) ? in many years some forums and, in general some sites are destroyed because peoples used filehosting images (like tinypic, imageshack etc..) and somes images are deleted by filehosting or for issues of their server.

Hey Guys, I recently started a topic about editting topic titles when I quickly realized how it worked. However the topic did prove to have value. Editting topic titles is not as clear as it once was, an issue that is certainly easily rectified without causing harm to other features or aspects of the software. I am suggesting we restore the little edit icon on the forum view mouseover of the topic row for those who have permission to edit (in addition to the existing hold mouse down functionality) This isn't a major or critical issue in any way, but I hope that it adds value to the package.

When I click the "My Activity Streams" dropdown, I get a bunch of broken stream links - specifically, https://invisionpower.com/discover/546/, https://invisionpower.com/discover/547/, https://invisionpower.com/discover/548/, and https://invisionpower.com/discover/550/ (listed as stream_title_546, stream_title_547, stream_title_548, and stream_title_550. How do I fix this? Also, these are under default streams, not custom streams

I have a section of white papers on my downloads app. And a white paper (PDF) doesn't necessarily need a "screen shot" I would like to propose that when the FILE that is uploaded is a PDF that the system creates a "Default PDF icon" as the screen shot. And if the user does have other imagery they can post them as well.

Hi all, I have a suggestion. Would it be possible to give more features to the followed content manager? The feature I think would work well is the ability to sort the followed content by categories. I've had users ask me this question multiple times and now think it's a good idea. I have over 100 followed content items on my site and putting them into custom categories would be pretty awesome. Looking at this forum, I dont see post numbers in the threads. Is this a "feature"? Or have I gone blind? Or is this selectable on/off in the ACP? I cant think of one reason you would not want to display post counts of each post in threads Thanks

Hello, During installation (or upgrade), an error is displayed: "XMLReader::open(): Unable to open source data" (screenshot). My case appears to be isolated so I wonder if the problem isn't a server configuration. Does anyone have an idea ? I feel that the situation improves when I put "On" for allow_url_fopen and allow_url_include in php.ini. The fact write the following line to top of a page seems to have an influence : libxml_disable_entity_loader(false); So, I think I can say that my problem is related to PHP, but I'm in the dark (my phpinfo) ... Hello! I have two ideas about Q&A sections. Answers are sorted by rating by default. Please, allow us to use Sort by Date as default sort order. I'm using Q&A only because of Best Answer feature. I hate this changes of sort order. Please, hide Vote Up and Vote Down buttons for users who cannot rate answers. CSS property cursor: not-allowed; is a little confusing a lot of members. I'd like to be able to organize my streams. Example: This site, I have one for bugs and one for archived bugs and there are 5 streams in between. Would be really great if we could determine their order. It would be beneficial to place our most used streams near the top, etc. Thanks

I'll happily pay for this, but would love it to be a core feature. I want to control % chance for an ad to show. E.g. I have an ad that I only want to show about 10% of the time, and right now I want 90% to be Adsense. In the future, I might have another ad I want to show 10% of the time, etc.
