Hello, I try to update to the IPB4 and I follow all the steps until the confirmation but then after 30 minutes I try to click on button to confirm and now give me this error: session_start(): open(/var/lib/php/session/sess_i2cdgr7bdp9bk9v5cor219a7q6, O_RDWR) failed: Permission denied (13) How can I create a new session_start? Rather than upgrade I'd prefer to start fresh and just take over the core tables only (I have a lot of modifications).. has anyone got instructions on how to do that? I.e. what tables I need etc?

Hello everybody. I have a strange problem on my forum. I also bought the downloads extension and now when i upload a big file, it works, but then the downloadfile is like 100 times smaller and always corrupted. Example: I upload a 700mb file, it shows then 5,6mb on downloads page and is corrupted. even though it says successfully uploaded. Is that a new bug or some wrong settings ? compression ? cheers,

Hi, I've found a problem when I use a different language than the original language in ACP... The problem is that when using a different language all the icons or small graphs next to the main lateral menu dissapears... Is it happening the same to others who have installed other languages than the original one? some users who has installed the language has told me they also have the same problme... How have you solved this? Look at the image...

I want a usergroup to not post any formation (guest usergroup). How can I disable the editor and just show a plain text area. Disabling the view of every button is a mess and the usergroup can still paste formated text. Also they can use BBCode tags because the editor converts them too.

Hello, when I installed IPS there was a question which page I want to use as my index page. I choose the board. Now I created a custom page with IP.Pages and want to set this page as my default index page. But I can't find the setting in AdminCP (already searched for index, main, homepage ...)

Is there a way to move pages from one content database to another? I can change topics within a database but don't see where/how I can move to another database. I am thinking the only way to move databases is by re-creating the page in another database.

I just recently upgraded our forum to the latest version. I am getting reports of users not being able to log in after registering and when I go to the members tap in the admincp and click the Members icon I get the message "A configuration Error or Server Error Has Occurred. ! EX0 Something went wrong. Please try again." Any suggestions?

I don't know if anyone has this consistent issue, but I have been unable to access my FTP through FileZilla or any other another FTP I downloaded. The connection keeps 'timing out', and I'm not entirely sure why. I keep adding the information into my FTP (host, username and password) and it routinely fails. Not sure if its something on my end (though I seem to be able to use the very annoying Browser-Based FTP where you can upload a single file at a time... man that was annoying...). I want to be able to update my board, but taking two hours to manually trapse through files and folders because the FTP won't connect is impractical, especially considering the frequency of t…

Alright in IPB 3.4.x we were able to create a slideshow with gallery albums, folders/ category and add them to your page. but I haven't figure it out yet, has any body had the same issue then me, all my previous blocks aren't compatible with the new version i'd like to bring it to how it work before. So I have some widgets on my forum. On the top, gallery recent images, Chat Box, and announcements. Then there's the right side, filled with Recent topics, upcoming events etc. Is there a way for me to make a widget such as Chat Box sized to where the side bar widget is moving the upcoming events down so Chatbox fills the area? Hope this makes sense?

I don't understand how Emoticons are displayed. I currently have 65 of them all in one category, Default. When you click the smiley face a window pops up and first it lists Emoticons I've Used Recently then it says Default, but unless I click the Categories dropdown I only see the first three rows. Can they all be displayed by default?

Hello, I installed a CKEditor plugin through AdminCP (just uploaded the ZIP file). It was just a test of this plugin: http://ckeditor.com/addon/bbcode Then I wanted to uninstall the plugin but I found no option in AdminCP. So I searched the file structure and just deleted the directory applications/core/interface/ckeditor/ckeditor/plugins/bbcode. But now I can not use the editor anymore. The whole editor disappeared when I click on edit or within the textarea... So how do I manage (uninstall) CKEditor plugins I installed through the AdminCP?

Aloha, The IPB 4 cron task seems to be working well on my server, but it started generating this error about 3-4 weeks ago (it's happening now with IPB 4.0.7 & PHP 5.4.34): "Failed loading opcache.so: opcache.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory" It's not surprising to me that opcache.so isn't loading -- since Zend opcache was never installed on my server. What i'm wondering is: What could be causing the IPB cron task to load (or attempt to load) opcache.so when it was never installed?
