I created a custom block, and the caching is turned off in the area where the content is. I am updating the content dynamically directly into the database from an update statement. Those changes are not showing. How can I make sure that I see the updated information. If I just hit save in the admin area, it updates, how can this be done automatically.I see it says...If your block contains dynamic elements, such as member data, database counts, etc, you will need to prevent this block from being cached. Anyone know how to make sure that whatever is updated in the database table, that it shows instantly with no caching?

Hi, one of my databases has categories, and the first page has a "Category Articles" style template. I would like to put a follow button on the top of the template, like this, to follow the whole database (all categories): <div class='ipsPos_right ipsResponsive_noFloat ipsResponsive_hidePhone'> {template="follow" app="core" group="global" params="'cms','categories' . $category->database_id, $category->_id, \IPS\cms\Records::containerFollowerCount( $category )"} </div>The problem is that i do not know the correct parameters to provide the "follow" template. Anyone knows where is the dev documentation for this or how can i put this working?

Is there anyway of changing the default country from the United States in the address field. My site is based in Australia and would rather it defaulted to Australia. Also is it possible to only allow Australia in the list for Commerce.

I am trying to display a single category of a database in a custom HTML page (in Pages), but it doesn't seem to work. I know I need to use 'database="1"' to display the database, but 'database="1" category="1"' doesn't display the category. I get an error saying that I either cannot have two databases in the same page or that the database is already in use on another page (I use 'database 1' for my blog front page).Is there a way for me to display a specific database category on a custom page?Is there a way to deactivate the 'number of databases on a page' restriction so I can override the warning and save the page with more than one database?

Hi guys, struggling with the following: 1) I'd like to use open tags for some pages / forums, and closed tags for others. Is it possible to set this per forum/page instead of site-wide? 2) I wish to use categories for my articles on my main page, but want to hide the index page for those categories. Is this possible? I am trying to figure out proper method to pipe IMAP to the support system. please post a properly formatted string - seems when I save the path to pipe cPanel adds something in front or it needs to be quoted? do you need to have real email accounts for this to work or can you create custom forwarders that pipe to a specific department?

So if mandrill is configured thru the Community Enhancement settings mail is sent thru the API - if this is true then is the SMTP setting not used or is that Fallback method?

Something happen after Upgrading to 4.0.4 Is there way to fix that, In upgrade that error showed up, I pressed continue and another error went. So i cancelled the upgrade process via going back to /upgrade. Now after the fresh upgrade is success, i checked AdminCP->System->Site Features->Application and this showed up. Is there way to removed that?

Hi. As far as I know you can have 2 installs of IP Board on your server, the 'live' install and the 'test' install. I wanted to make a fresh install of IP4, so deleted all the files of my test install so that I can install a new one. But when I try to make a new install, the installer says that my license key is already in use. I have tried both my license key and my testinstall license key, neither work. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks

I recently purchased IP.Pages and I have no idea how to work with this product. I do not want to build something complicated, I would just use the default theme, and I just want to have a page with articles on a single row (single column) with the left sidebar, as for example is this page http://techpulse.io/news/ (but with the default theme IPS). Hello, I was wondering if someone could help me. I'm trying to do a test upgrade on my forum to IPB 4. I made a copy of all my main forum files into a sub folder, updated the conf file to reflect a new url and the backup mysql DB but only a white page loads making me unable to upgrade. Anyone know what I could be doing wrong?

Hi, I upgraded to the 4.0.3 release and now I seem to have  symbols in posts. I had this before when I moved my database to a new host but resolved it by changing the encoding I think.
