I am trying to figure out proper method to pipe IMAP to the support system.
please post a properly formatted string - seems when I save the path to pipe cPanel adds something in front or it needs to be quoted?
do you need to have real email accounts for this to work or can you create custom forwarders that pipe to a specific department?
You wouldn't pipe imap, you would pipe an email address, this is done using a forwarder actually, you create a forwarder, and the send too email address is your pipe address.
an example pipe address would be as follows,
I have tried various methods and none seem to work
This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of itsrecipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed: pipe to | /home/fmforums/public_html/applications/core/interface/incomingemail/piping.php email@example.com generated by firstname.lastname@example.orgThe following text was generated during the delivery attempt:------ pipe to | /home/fmforums/public_html/applications/core/interface/incomingemail/piping.php email@example.com generated by firstname.lastname@example.org ------Something went wrong. Please try again.------ This is a copy of the message, including all the headers. ------
according to the instructions i need to add the email address but that doesn't seem to help i have tried with and with out with and with out the | and with and without quotes
permissions are 777 on the directory and file.
is this a bug? cause i can't seem to get it to work?
