I've just started doing a conversation from Xenforo, but the converter seems really slow. I've been looking at the database and it seems to be converting about 1 member per minute, at this rate it will take forever, have I done something wrong? Also what do "follow_missing_member" and "follow_missing_rel_info_orphaned" mean in the error log?

Hello, we are evaluating different caching mechanism with IP.Board 4.1.x. Thus we installed Redis 3.0.6 from here: http://redis.io/download Redis-server is up and listening on default port, but we seem to miss an appropriate PHP module for Redis: Redis In order to use this method, the Redis extension must be installed on your server. The ACP option is still grayed out and I am asking which "Redis extension" is missing? Thanks, Thomas

Many of my members are reporting that they are not able to stay logged in. When having to sign in again after a period of inactivity, they are prompted (required) to do a password reset. This is happening over and over for some. I have had them check their browser, make sure that cookies are active, made sure there was no auto-fill of incorrect password, etc. I'm not sure what can be done about this. Any ideas, has anyone else had this problem?

Or just all topics in reverse order, based on start date, not last reply. This is something i wrote a webpage for for my moderators to use to keep an eye on new content. However I wondered if it is possible to do it with the stream tools in the new one. Currently however I am either doing it wrong, or you have to have posting activity too.

OK, getting frustrated. I tried to split a topic from page 7 to the end of page 10, but when I selected one post and clicked split, it only moved that one post. When I selected multiple posts, it looks like it will only merge those posts together in to one post (?) and allow me to put a final comment. When I selected move, it will move the whole thread. So what's the correct way to split a topic in to 2 from the point it went OT?

Something Strange - Hide Tags

Hello, I've just upgraded v2.2 -> v3.4 -> 4.1.8 Despite sticking a "hide until reply" plugin on I found i am seeing tags that say [/hide_me] whereas checking my v2 database for the same post they were [/hide] Does part of the conversion process change these tags in posts? I think I have 2 options: 1) regex change it on the db 2) import another copy of the plugin which has the "new" tags.

While I have successful in integrating facebook and twitter, google account login gives an error. The error appears at final stage of login. Once you login to google , it asks to allow the permissions. Thereafter it redirects to login screen and shows the following error. Please help me. site : http://thedoc.org

So i have been setting up some awards for our new website @-RAW- and have encountered a problem. When we enable an award after creating the rule to automatically assign the award based on conditions it spams the award multiple times to the player. Why is that? Has anybody else experienced this? I only want it to give the award once. Thanks Rob

As title says, is it possible to hide visibile post count from the members profiles, at least from that normal forum view? As some of the new members says that it is not easy to come to the forum if you can see that many/most of the old members has like 50 000 posts. BW Kimmo

I'm trying to set-up Amazon s3 for remote file storage. S3 is all new to me, tho I've created an account and been able to upload a test file from within the s3 console and then access it via a browser. I've then gone to the ACP, to do the set-up there, and after filling in the details and submitting it gives me the error msg:- -------- There appears to be a problem with your Amazon (bucketname) file storage settings which can cause problems with uploads. one of my users inadvertently revealed his password, and now one of his friends is logged in and is posting as him. He's tried changing his password, but the password change appears to be getting passed across to his friend's session, as the friend remains logged in. I've just tried replicating that with a dummy account and two different browsers, and yep, if the password is changed in one browser the other browser stays logged in. Is there some method I can use to log out all instances of that user before I change their password? Or another method I can use to remove the 'friend' from having access to his account?

Hi there - we are looking to try to manage advertising content by forum. Is this possible with either the standard Ad Manager or Commerce? As a sports based site, we have some gambling relevant content. Ideally we'd like to put all gambling content in a specific forum and target gambling related ads directly at that forum (taking advantage of more generous ad terms). But it is hard to see from relevant ad manager and commerce documentation that this sort of obvious thing to do is possible. Or are we just being dumb?

I've moved my images to Amazon S3 so I'm happy to allow large picture sizes, however, even though I've set a group to upload unlimited filesizes, I still have a 2Mb limit, as seen here... and when i try it, I get an obvious error... Am I missing something?

I am looking for a plugin to add a button similar to a Thank You button into every post in a specific forum or topic. Ideally I would like to be able to customize the text on the button and have it show next to it which users clicked the button. I have looked through the Marketplace and I can't find this but I'm sure I have seen it on plenty of forums so I am thinking it is a Plug In. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

only owners can upload downloads and when we add step 2 screenshot it doesnt show up on board at all anywhere. now in description if i drop a screenshot in step 3 it works there but not the display one. i have allow screenshots checked, so what am i missing? I'm sure it's something I'm overlooking but I have created a group who has full access to a database, they can add, edit, delete, show, hide entries. However, when a new entry is added, it is automatically locked and they can't edit it until a moderator or admin unlocks the entry. Is it something I'm missing, if so what is it that I'm missing? any help appreciated.

Recent upgrader to 4.1... One of my users is getting a problem where their posts just say "Saving" and then they never complete the process. Hi, I recently moved my boards over to a new server with nginx, when i try to save gobalTemplate i get the following error. IPB support have told me this must be a syntax error, which i find unbelievable due to the fact this is a new install and i have the same problem over both themes. Has anyone come across this problem or a way to fix this? i believe it may have something to do with permissions. Thanks
