Really not enjoying the new fixed navigation menu bar. Discovered that it's popping up in areas I don't want it to pop into. When editing a blank page for my site, such as an article, check out what it does: Sometimes, the navigation bar appears at the bottom of the page, sometimes it appears at the top and blocks out the edit bar: Honestly, I just discovered this little glitch and I discovered this on a clean, unmodified and unaltered IPS default forum skin. I did a complete 360 and I seriously doubt this is what IPS intended. LOLS

Having a problem with this particular issue and I just discovered the problem. When a guest views my forum, if he or she clicks on the "Members" link then they are not able to view the "Members" list, for the same reason why they cannot view member profiles. However, when they click on the "Staff" link, that displays administrators and moderators, they are able to view that list. Was this intended or is there a fix to prevent guests from viewing the list? I'd rather not have guests with the ability to view the staff listing and I haven't been able to find a setting to disable it from guest view.

Hello, Like many of you, I had a difficult time when the chat room finally shut down. But with some modifications, I've gotten ArrowChat to be a suitable replacement. I've created a script that will grab the number of active users from the chat room. However, I'm puzzled as to how to implement this into the NavBar as Invision Chat used to be. How can I do a PHP Include -- in the Nav Bar? Or is it even possible? Thanks, BB

Hi, Tested here with the default, unmodified theme, and the avatars look misaligned in the search results on mobile view. See screenshot. Can you guys check if this is also happening, so I can report this as a bug? Thanks.

I would like to track activity (new topics, new posts, and views) on a per-category basis. For example, with a setup like this: Flintstones (category) Fred Barney Wilma Jetsons (category) George Jane Judy I would like to track activity separately for Flintstones and Jetsons. During a test today, I noticed that several of my test users still had access to Admin CP even after they were demoted to a regular user. I am on IPS hosting running v4.2.3. I have cleared browser cookies and am wondering if this will update "soon", as opposed to be immediate, or there is a update query (somewhere) as there is in vB? Thanks

Looking for some suggestions or guidance on how to do this, since I'm not even sure if this is possible. Currently, my license includes IP.Board, IP.Content and IP.Gallery and I've made good use from IP.Content as a news portal for my site. Now, I use small graphics that appear to the left side of every news article I post and I'm getting a bit tired of uploading the graphic image to each article I post, which is resulting in a lot of wasted space on my site being used by the same image over and over again. I really dislike stylistically how a new line is forced between "By X in" and the name of the blog in this widget: I'd rather it all appear on a single line: "By Tim in EAB News". Upgraded from 3.4.9 to 4.2.3 and am having two issues: 1. We're experiencing the system logging out people 2. When users sign in, via the link on the upper right part of the page, the login fails and they are taken to the secondary login page with their user name and password filled out and that login page works. Ideas on why this is happening and how to solve?

Hey Folkes So I've had the pleasure of being made the head of media for the forum I work with. I'm currently making a custom theme and I have a few questions. 1 - Currently for some reason I can only use colour gradients as a background, I would like to make the forum sections and title bars slightly transparent and have my own custom background image. 2 - I would like to add custom textures like metal or fire to the Title bars 3 - Once I am done editing the theme how do I make it available to everyone on the forum currently for some reason only I can see it. Hello, Due to the massive number of users not using the tag system properly, we decided to disable it, but keeping the prefix system enabled, as we use prefixes in a few forums. We were able to configure this behavior correctly using the Advanced Tags & Prefixes app. Now we want to delete all tags already set (but preserving prefixes), and I thought an easy way to do that would be running an SQL query. I spent an hour going through IPS database structure, but couldn't find where the relationship between topic IDs and tag IDs is stored. Any advice would be extremely helpful. @Ryan H.? Thanks.

I am trying to generate some analytics about which reactions are used and which I can prune. There doesn't seem to be a way to do this in the admin panel, so I was going to see where it was stored in the database and count the usage that way. Basically I am trying to see how many total times each individual reaction was used. So, where in the database does it store the reputation given and its type when someone reacts to a post?

I've only recently taken the plunge and had my Board Updated to 4.2.3. Prior to the Update the number of my Members who were signed-in was always significantly more than the number of Guests in the Online User list. Since the Update the amount of Guests on Board at any time has increased dramatically and often exceeds actual Members. I understand a certain % of Guests are Members who haven't signed-in, and non-members who lurk and read forums. But a large % aren't warm blooded humans. 1, Why the sudden increase in "Guests" since the Upgrade? 2, What exactly are Guests who aren't humans, Bots, etc? And should there be so many and what exactly are they doing? …

Hi I just did a fresh install last week, forum has a dozen or so members, and a few posts, but is 1Gb in size already. The hosts says there is 865Mb in table core_cache.ibd however I don't even see that table in myphpadmin. Anyone else come across this?

I have played around with every color editor in the Customization>themes>default>edit section. (these: http://prntscr.com/gi0rjh ) but I am unable to make my forum color one solid color, or change it at all for that matter. I cannot find how to edit its colors. http://prntscr.com/gi0r8m the red arrows show what I want to turn grey, and they cyan arrows show what i want the color to be. But I cannot find any option to forum's color.
