Hello, We used to have 'recent topics' list appear in a rhs sidebar on our forums. I believe this was a 'hook', and found the folllowing file in our 'hooks' folder: boardIndexRecentTopics_9a91374834737020acdf91cdadcc1742.php When we upgraded from V3xxx to V4.2.5 about a month ago, this no longer appeared, and the 'Applications & Hooks' in the ACP, is now just 'applications'. 1. Does anyone know how / where we get whatever we now need to have the same / similar 'recent topics' sidebar as we had with this hook? 2. There are a number of other 'hooks' in the hooks folder, is there somewhere in general that we can go to find replacements for what …

I changed to HTTPS and used this feature in ACP: Serve images from local server? When using https and members post remote links to insecure images then this can cause the page to report as insecure in your browser. This setting, when enabled, will cause the image to be retrieved and then served from the local web server over https instead. But there is a big problem. Many smilies are not displayed after that and images, too. I don't know where the problem is. Hey everyone i ran into a bit of a problem. So me and my dumb self didnt create the forums in its on folder so it wouldnt be mysite.com/forums/ instead i added it to the public_html folder and now im having trouble moving it into a folder. when i do so the the site does not work. Can anyone help me because i can not create a home page for the site. This would be great if someone could assist me. Breakdown of my problem using cpanel what i want to do is move mysite.com/the forum files are here/ to mysite.com/forums/move the files into this folder thanks and as always have a great day

RSS buttons are everywhere and RSS turned ON but error messages all over What is going on? I have just upgraded from 3.4 and I am at 4.2.5 Here is the message I get Not Found The requested URL /forum/rss/1-rss-feed.xml/ was not found on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Sry to butt in on this thread, but i'm using a RSS feed plugin on my Facebook page everytime i go to put in the url for the page i want the Feed to come from, it starts to load the feed, then cuts off and says that there is no RSS feed from that page I have already contacted the author of the app, they confirm that the RSS feed works? Even when i disable all third party apps except the one i want to use, still does not work I'm a cloud user here....any suggestions for me, other than me using a support ticket..or is that what i have to do?

Hi, In my community members are allowed to add images to their posts up to 4Mo per image, no limit on the number of images uploaded by post. Here is the set up : Unfortunatly that's not what it says on my forum. There's a notice that says "Total Maximum Size : 3,91Mb". But that's wrong since I didn't set up any total limit, only a limit per image. Members believe 3,91Mb is the sum of all attachements sizes per post, but it's not. I think it should say Maximum file size, like on this board actually... Also if someone tries to upload an image that's more that 4mo there's an error message that I find is more confusing than anything (asking membe…

I've knocked up a hook which effectively creates an easy way to discuss posts / topics in the admin forum. There's a theme hook which sticks an 'admin discuss' link on each post, and a code hook which creates a new topic in the admin forum, title being "Discuss: Post in TOPIC by POSTER, started by MOD", content being the original contents of the post and a url. The mod then gets redirected to the edit page for that topic so they can add comments to the first post, or just leave it as is. So I am new to Version 4 and I have been visiting my site and forums regularly with my smart phone. When I log in I check the Remember Me box assuming that I would stay logged in, but I don't. If I close my web browser (Safari) or put my phone to sleep and then come back I am no longer logged in. So is this an issue with IPS4 or my phone? Even when I was still using IPS3 it did not keep me logged in. I am not aware of any settings on my iPhone but that does not mean that there aren't any that could affect this. Anyone have a suggestion?

Hi, I’d like to add something for my forum that seems quite basic but I just can’t find the way to make it happen so I come to you for help I'd like to add a widget that displays a record feed from the tutorials section (database on Pages). Also I'd like for the avatar to be replaced by the record image, and the author replaced by the category in which the tutorials is filed. I tried creating a custom block but I didn’t manage to obtain what I want. I can see something that’s very close to what I need on the index of the InvisionPower forum. Can someone please help me create something similar for my forum ?

Is there a possibility to bulk PM certain members? I want to sent a PM - just like you can bulk email - to certain members who purchased a recurring product but didn't renew. So the subscription is either cancelled or expired. Thanks in advance.

Hey, does anybody know or can tell me what tables the database for IPS 4.x uses? I've upgraded from 3.x to 4.x when it was released and still have some orphaned tables (including some plugins I do not use anymore). After having problems with converting my database from utf8 to utf8mb4, because the system still threw the information that those changes should be made, I changed some tables manually, which kept utf8. Know all checks run fine, but I am not sure if I could drop those tables I changed as they're perhaps not needed anymore. Is there anybody who could provide me a list of the "standard tables" you have with a clean 4.x installation? Or can I find a…

hey all, so yeah we're on 4.25 or whatever it is now, and it's great! few things tripping me up though: - how do you pin/unpin topics? current mod CP in a given thread just offers "delete" - is there any tool to convert all the old posts with YT links/etc in HTML to actually display? right now we just have the embedded code for all of them displaying thanks in advance for any help offered here!

Having waited for all the add-ons and plug-ins to stabilize, I have just upgraded my site to v4.2.5 I'm trying to schedule and set up the Promote functionality. but I am not being shown the option to promote to my club's Facebook Group, only the club's Facebook Page in the dropdown selection (We have both a Facebook page and a group). How do I change that?
