Hi, can you tell me how to make the subject field not required?

Afaik, it's always required. It's what generates the link into the conversation on the messenger end.

<input name="messenger_title" value="" id="elInput_messenger_title" maxlength="255" aria-required="true" type="text">

aria-required="true"     I don't know where to find that code.

Forms on IPS4 are handled via PHP directly, not in templates.

But here goes one question for you: how do you going to read a PM on Messenger if won’t be a title to link? This is totally out of sense and won’t work.

Don't know about that. Are you saying that without a title you can't see PM?

The only link to the PM itself is the title.

Yes, but you can click 'Go to inbox'

Would have been nice if the entire block was clickable

“Go to inbox” will go to... inbox! What if you want to read the 3rd message? 4th message? There’s no link to click!  They won’t change the whole block because of this. It’s like a topic without a title. More: probably mt_title is requires some value in DB. It’s not just the field in the form.

Advice? Move on. Forget this.

In inbox you can click the entire block not just the title

Whatever. You better let it go. I already did in not trying to help anymore.

It would be tricky, and in any case, I can see no point in doing this.
