How can you stop someone entering a space or single character (eg, a full stop) as a means of avoiding completing required information in a text field? There’s an option for Maximum Length but not for minimum?

Hey Folks, I've noticed some inconsistent behaviour with Gallery Lightbox. For example, if I click on an image in the gallery: up pops the lightbox, thus: and when I close it, it shows the original page, here: But if I click on the same image outside of the gallery, for example in the activity feed, or embedded in a blog post, it shows the same lightbox, but on closing, takes me here: Why is that? I just converted from PHPBB and everything seems to have converted over without much of an issue, however when I click on basically anything on the forums it brings me to the PHPBB version and then loops back to the IPB version. I know redirection had to be turned on and I thought I did, so I'm not sure where to go from here. Any help would be appreciated!

Hello ! 🙂 My server's IP is often getting blacklisted because of emails... Here are examples of messages I get : I checked the emails content and found it is normal content : notifications, etc. So, I asked my server management company to check if the server is sending spam and the result is it doesn't send spam. So I don't know what is wrong. My board is sending about 4 thousand emails each day. Is it too many emails ? Thank you. 🙂

Hi, I would like to add an extra field in the club options, the field type is "upload" but I would like to be able to upload graphic files (gif, jpeg, jpe, jpg, png). Currently, users can upload a file with any extension. 😡

I want to hide the tags input on the recordForm. I'd still like to be able to add tags from the record view. I just can't find how to do this within the template. I tried to resort to simply hiding it with CSS, but I can't get the label to hide. Following css hides the +choose but not the label. The most important component of my site to the users is the What's New (i.e. Activity Stream). Some want to only see what they have not read and some want to see both read and unread. Now I set up 2 streams, one is Unread and one is All The issue I have and is very confusing to the users is the ability for a user to set their Default Stream: BUT, it doesn't actually set the user's Default Stream when they click the Activity Tab on the Menu...it seems it only changes the link that is displayed on the right side of the Breadcrumb line. Hi, Let me tell you our problem: Our board 15 years online, and most of emails not working. Some people changed email address, some ... I dnt know, where are they. For example - user visited board 3 or 4 yrs ago, but still receiving emails from board every day (he or she followed topic or forum). I think thats a wasting money for email sendings. So, what you can recommend for this case? Unfollow all users from all the board? P.S. submit post working too slow, because board sending notifications to all followers 😞

Hello IPS, So I'm looking to change something for that's been bothering for quite some time. But I don't know how to go about it. My goal is to replace the Sharer Image that shows by default on Profiles. When you share a profile link to Facebook, Twitter, or any other platform. It automatically uses the Sharer Image instead of the Profile Picture. Is there a way to force it to grab the Profile Picture instead? Maybe some snippet of Code I can add to my theme?

I thought I was being clever and bulk imported a load of Venues into my Calendar. Unfortunately there is no database field for "Venue Name" and now in my admin control panel all the entries look like this:- Please can anyone point me in the right direction as to where this field is stored?

I can see in my online users list a lot of guests (15+) coming from the same/similar IP. What do you guys think this might be? Should I be concerned? Should I block the IP? Has anyone come across this type of situation before? Any advice would be much appreciated.

I am trying to do a customization where, i change TOPIC COUNT of the FORUM - into just the name of the forum.. Following scenario: I enable permissions for a usergroup, for example unlimited lines, links allowed, images allowed. A user creates a signature with image, link and more lines. Now I disable the permissions for that usergroup I gave before. But the signature is still showing in old posts and new created posts because the signature with links and images of the user is still in his profile. This isn't a normal behavior, in theory it's a bug?

Hello I am trying to create a plugin to add a country flag in the hovercard. I am using <span class="ipsFlag ipsFlag-{$country}"></span> but the flag doesn't show up. It seems that the flags.css isn't even loading. How can I have my plugin ensure that css is loaded? Also if I want to pull css from an installed app how could I make my plugin do that as well?

Hello, Like way too much websites, I am still running on php 5.6, which is going to be ended at the end of this year. I have a simple question for the developers; will IPS still support this oldie after the official end? By supporting I mean: will the next updates require php7? If I'm not done yet with php7 at the time, it would be of course sad to not be able to perform updates for a while, in particular in case of security ones. eventually, bonus question: in regard of the IPS code only, is there anything/configuration to prepare other than simply switching the server from php5 to php7 one the live website? IPS 4.3, Digital Ocean standalone, London. Hey, I have created a custom date field in the Pages app but the custom field is rendered in both US and UK formats, depending on where it's viewed. For example, when editing the date (Original Publication Date) in the article it expects a UK date, which is what I want. But when viewed, shown here at the top of the article, it renders in US date format: It also renders in US date format in the listing view.
