JohnCourt
Good day folks, is it possible to show publicly that a member has been warned, or suspended, or banned? Mainly within the content view, as in forums, under the avatar, or?

seba stian
I'd like to know this as well. I just update the user's custom title when I ban them.
DaisyB
I personally don't like to show publicly when users are warned/suspended (it's an issue between staff and the member, not anyone else, imo) but for banned users, which are definitely not ever coming back, I move them to the 'banned' user group, which is visible to everyone (it will be visible on their profile as well as on their author panel under their avatar) . I also change their display name to "BANNED_displayname here" so that it's easy for me to see when I'm looking at a member list, but that would also be viewable to other members as well. bfarber
There is no setting or option to publicly show that a user is banned. You could do something manually (adjust their member title, move them to a group named "Banned Users", etc.) but there is no automated methods. This is not the type of information typically presented publicly.
GlenP
21 hours ago, bfarber said: move them to a group named "Banned Users", etc. We use a group called Former Members. That avoids the "Why is X banned?" questions and looks less harsh when promoting a friendly environment.
JohnCourt
Thank you all, @GlenP, perfect! Creating a member group and moving them into it is ideal, thanks guys for all your help.
seba stian
I move them to a group with the lowest health bar and then I update the title "Banned - Broke our Terms of Service" and then I change their username to "user_disabled." I also remove all of the information on the account (such as pictures.) etc.
