Hello, I'm trying to localize my forum and noticed that this word "in" is somewhat hardcoded into the IPS files because it cannot be translated in language manager and I think it causes a problem for every language that is not English. This can even be called as a bug and fixed in upcoming versions. However right now has anyone any clue how to remove this bit here when you have created a custom stream? the term for translating this part is steam_blurb_with_terms which is responsible for all that text.

hi, I have had to set up custom stream filter for myself to exclude ONE forum I dont want to see topics from and I end up with this monstrosity every time I go to unread content. Same on my forum where I also hid one forum. And my forum has WAY more forums and subforums and a sidebar. The text mentioning all the forums where search is done is HUGE. Look real bad. Does IPS really have to display all of that? What if I had even more forum sections? Can a spoiler or show more link be added here to reveal the full list of forums the content is gathered from? I need suggestions to make this look acceptable. Hopefully IPS notices this and addresses that in newer vers…

I run the download module on my website and the "Downloads Index Page" is my homepage. I know I am supposed to be able to target different pages/sections with rules like: /* Hide title on home page */ [data-pageapp="downloads"][data-pagelocation="front"][data-pagemodule="downloads"][data-pagecontroller="browse"] .ipsPageHeader{display:none!important;} However the issue is that those properties on my homepage are exactly the same as my category pages domain.com/category/1-cars/ So how am I meant to target my Homepage only with those properties? Context While reviewing my forum's data in Google Search Console, I noticed the visibility is dropping for several months now. Research This led me to discover the sitemap hadn't updated itself since March 7th, 2019. http://www.europans.com/sitemap.php <lastmod>2019-03-07T18:54:27+01:00</lastmod> It would make sense that Google drops my forum from its index if they see no new content appear for the past 8 months. We're using a payment method set up as a custom coin. This is so users can go and purchase items using points (from Members Shop). If I try to add a "currency" under payment settings, it doesn't allow us to add our custom coin (which is found under "payment methods"). We'd like to be able to display this on the product pages. It displays on the checkout, but we'd like to hide the USD value on the checkout as we're only allowing the use of our coins for Commerce. In summary: 1. Display custom coin on product page. 2. Remove USD from checkout and product page as it already shows custom coin on checkout page. Are both of these possible?

I'm having a considerable problem with spammers using IP.Board's message system to spam with links I'm concerned lead to malware. I've disabled most URLs site-wide. And I've put a message before all new URLs saying "[think before following links]", but they continue to try to get my members to go to URLs. (Even putting "virus free!" after the URL, like anyone would believe that.) On top of everything when you mark someone as a spammer I'm pretty sure the messages they've sent don't get disabled. I know when I actually delete their account their messages continue to exist in the `core_message_posts` table in MySQL (with the `msg_author_id` set to 0). It just feel…

Hi, I have someone who is trying to join my forum that received an error code (see attachment) when they tried to register. They use gmail, I already searched in my ACP for the e-mail address and it didn't come up. They said they tried to register from their Samsung phone and then from their Chromebook computer. We have a LOT of people (including myself) who use gmail and this is the first time we've had someone try to register and get this error code, which is 2S129/1. Any idea why they are getting this error and how to fix it? We've been using IPS for almost a year now and we definitely have registrations turned on. I'd like to get this fixed a.s.a.p!

hi, i just upgraded from 4.2.9 to 4.4.7. that upgrade shreddered the content in a similar way like the upgrade 3 -> 4 did and as i described in this post: let me give you an example: in one post there is this line (in the database): <br /><a href="http://friedenswinter.de/aufruf/" target='_blank'>http://friedenswinter.de/aufruf/</a> after the upgrade the line is changed to what i will attach to this message. which is no valid HTML anymore. does anyone knows where that post-parsing method resides so that i could comment it out / change it? of course it would be better if invision would check their code that i don't have to have fear w…

Hi all, I did not see any mention of IPSConnect being removed from IPS in 4.3.x release notes. Yet, once I did my upgrade, my Symfony website, which used IPSConnect as a login handler, could not login anymore. And IPSConnect has completely disappeared from the PC Admin. So, is IPSConnect dead? If so, when/where was it announced?

Hi, I have an interrogation, but maybe I'm missing something: Disabling permission to download attachments does not block their display in a topic (or elsewhere), so... it can be downloaded I did not find how to set permissions for this and it doesnt seem logic for me If a group doesn't have the dowload attachments permission, images attachments should not display in the topic, only display "xxx uploaded an image ..." with the link for example (like others attachements) From my point of view, this is not a logical behavior, but maybe it is the desired one Any ideas ? I have disabled a profile field so my members can't edit that field once they join (required field to join) but now I (the admin) can not edit the field from the front end like I used to. Is there a way that I can make it so the admin can edit that field without having to go to the ACP? Thanks

Hi, Does anyone have a solution for preventing certain words from being used in a topic title? I'd like to keep members from using certain words and/or phrases (similar to censoring in posts), but only in the context of a thread title. Hey everybody, I wonder has anyone ever had a solution for such a scenario. In my forum it's quite common for people to share in a topic if they see a free PC game key kind of deal. Like humble bundle deals, epic games free keys, gog giveaways and so on. Having a dedicated topic for such a thing is okay, but if I wanted to bring more attention to it and make deals visible throughout the suite in a widget - then I have 0 ideas how to do that. It's like anyone can contribute some information like a link and description which would be immediately seen everywhere in a widget. Has anyone attempted to do something similar? How did you achieve it?

Tried adding a Google Analytics tracking I.D into the 'Analytics' CP, code looks something like, e'g; UA-95867698466 but once I add this - it then appears as text literally at the top of the index page header! Anyone know if this is an error? or there's a different way to add the Analytics code?

Hi, I recently tried to embed a Twitter post and all I got was this: I mean that is quite bleak. No images, no styling. IPS link embeds look a lot better then these tweet embeds. Why it can't be made to look like a real tweet taken straight out of the twitter?

So to solve my email woes, I went ahead and signed up for SendGrid via the Community Enhancements section of the ACP on their Free tier. All's been well, but I got a notice from SendGrid that my API was expiring and I would be limited to 100 emails per day, which should be fine for my site/usage. Question is - is anyone else doing this, and what are the downsides (if any) of remaining on the free tier?

I installed a few days ago FF for android 9 on my phone. Is there a issue just for me - many features of 4.4.7 don't work. Here is an example from this site - no search icon, menu does not work.
