Is it possible to sign up for one site, and share the log in with other Suites? All would be 4 (eventually) This would also be on the hosted IPS service. I remember reading something in a company blog post some time ago about Federation, but I am not sure this is what it meant. Thanks,

4.x looks very nice so I created a new domain, I installed 4.x, transferred my license and now I would like to import all the data that was on my 3.x IPB board. Does anyone see any issues? I imagine everything is different. If I try and import the 3.x DB will 4.x bark at it or will it put everything where it is suppose to go. Is there a Import DB option like there was on 3.x under Support Tools (not seeing it on 4.x) If you could let me know the best way to do this it would be great.

In 3 we had the Template Merge Centre, in 4 I'm not seeing anything like that. Can anyone explain how it works now with template changes after an upgrade? I only have Adsense JS and custom locations added to the templates but I've been recreating my theme after every upgrade just to be sure. Right thing to do? Or is 4 super clever now and I'm wasting my time?

Hay, Just ran the latest update and got - MISSING_APP_DATA /var/www/vhosts/xxxxxxx.co.uk/httpdocs/applications/core/sources/Setup/Upgrade.php::698 Retry and continue did not work. When i login to the admin, the update option has gone. I am not sure now if an update has been applied. I have a backup and the forum is offline. Hello, I have a question for you. When my website automatically sends an email with PHP, my clients often receive my emails in their SPAM. Is there is a way to solve this, because otherwise I have to send emails manual way and I lose beucoup time with that. Thank's in advance for your help, Stef

Yesterday, I have made a test upgrade but I have a problem. I think it is upgrade related cause during my previous fresh install test I have not seen something like this. When I click one of the articles, the article is listed below a duplicate article feed list. ( I know the view is not clear, I had to zoom out the screen to show how it looks. You can see the list is duplicated after 5 articles ) where do you think I should take a look at ?

Is anyone having trouble with their Chat Service? Every time anyone tries to enter our chat room, it just hangs at "Please wait while we load the chatroom...", and nothing ever loads. I opened a ticket about this early this morning, but still haven't gotten any response.

I'm trying to set up a database where users can upload an image and that image would preview on the categories page. However, if the user choses to not upload an image, I would like to display a default image in it's place. I assume I would need some sort of "if" statement in the page template, right? On the display options tab for the image upload field it says : The field key can be used in HTML templates to fetch a specific field, for instance: {$record->customFieldDisplayByKey('my_key', 'listing')|raw} and my template key is "image_1" So I'm assume I would need to include something similar to below but I don't know how to check to see if an image has been uploade…

The member warning system seems just to have been intended to issue warnings to members for them to receive and view as they will know of all "warnings" they get even though no note to the member is written by the moderator. So it seems not to be a facility for moderators to just make notes for other moderators and to give them information that might be useful. So is there a way for moderators to just make notes for other moderators to view in the ModeratorCP and the member profile? I do have in mind the new version IPS4.0

So lets say I do the following. 1. Create a 3 column page called Tennis, this is a landing page for articles, forum posts, gallery images ect... 2. Create a database called Tennis 3. Use the database widget for the articles in Tennis landing page in a column When you click on a Article from the Tennis Database block, it doesn't go to the article, it stays on the page and rams the thing into one of the three columns. Is this how it is supposed to work? Or have I structured this wrong. How would I get it to go to an article view the way it would when you access it from the list view of articles in the database.

Someone resurrected an old NSFW thread on a board I took over. I didn't know it was even there from like 4 years ago. Google is about to yank the adsense account. I used Hide in topic moderation. Not sure that is good enough. Is there a more permanent way to remove the thread so no one can view it but it could still come back later if they go with no Adsense?

i was wondering how the suite keeps detritus from the system.. I have email account piped into the system - i looking at the uploads folder and noticed in the monthly_2015_04 folder an image clearly spam (it was all in Japanese) and also seen the same spam message with the same attachment it in my email in box for the same account. However the system never registered the email as support ticket. In commerce. Does the the cleanup cron remove this content automatically?

Hey Guys, Quick question: I have a production and development server. I saw in my account that the license is linked to the URL. If I use the same license with forum on my development server, will I have any problems, e.g., the forum at production will stop working etc? Cheers!

I have just made a test upgrade and it finished flawless in 10 minutes. Everything seemed to be fine but I realised that there was something wrong with default page. On my prod site default page is http://prodsite.com/page/index.html when I set Pages as default Application the page is redirected to http://testsite.com/index.php/page/index.html /page/index.html seems to be coming from upgrade and I could not find how to correct it. And one more thing Where is the profile picture setting for square pictures instead of circular ones ?

The last three times a new version has come out for IPS4 I follow through the upgrade process. However each time after completion my site displays an error and removes all access to my website( including the adminCP ). Any assistance would be much appreciated as I have had to re install my forum software several times and start over. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I created a new database and set up category. But when I try to create a new article in the database and select new, I receive a pop-up for Select Category, but will not allow me to select a category and it will not allow it to remain blank. The category shows up but it is grayed out and can not be selected. Can you tell me what I might of set up wrong?

I'm having a issue with trying to install any kind of plugin into my site. I've tried various ones and everything goes okay until I hit the install button. The installation will drag out for a minute or two before it kicks me out of the admin area and back to the admin login screen. When I try to log back in, it sends me back plugin section where it shows that the plugin is still trying to install but moments later it will kick me right back to the admin login screen. This will repeat infinitely until I close out the tab that I'm working on for the page in my browser. When I open a new tab and go back to the admin controls plugin section, I find multiple incomplete copies…
